well if like me your rent was £10 a week (ok so it was a dump) and food bill was £20 a week.........yes you can eat macaroni cheese alot *nod nod*.....then that left a fair amount to go have fun with without running up debts ....

Yes, we had very cheap accomodation when I was on campus, and I was (at the time) vegetarian and my weekly shop was no more than ?10.
These days I'm lucky if I can get away with spending less than ?40.

They played Essex Uni as well when I was there - every year I was there (85-88). I don't think anyone got stabbed though!

My ex went to and probably still goes to every New Model Army gig they do, including the ones in Europe. Got a bit annoying when he was with me as he'd just bugger off for a couple of weeks here and there or weekends and I'd be left at home.

As for accomadation with Uni, free! Cause of being in council property But then I have to pay for child expenses and cause of said child I don't get to have a social life.. whaa! Good thing about having an old friend come back and become boyfriend, meant I didn't have to go out searching for one. Win!

Oh and just applied for a job at local college, term time position. So fingers crossed.
