| Heavy snow here in London too. Problem is, snow isn't hard to walk in when you have a decent pair of boots on, but slush is slippery as hell, and it's already mostly slush on the pavements.

| Most of the London side streets aren't gritted. I chose to go to work on the tube (the train stops closer but the railways are always absolutely shite in any kind of weather) which leaves me a 35 minute walk from the office. In my sturdy boots it probably took a few extra minutes in the snow (the snow is actually easy to walk on - it's the skiddy slush that's difficult). I can't believe how many women I saw out trying to totter to work in heels. Silly bitches.

| Human Vegetable | It couldnt and wouldnt be any different lets be honest, its one thing actually the Germans are efficient at, and thats squaring away weather once its happened, though I do remember the power going down there one when it snowed alot. Was like something out of resident evil, why I was trying to find fast food when the town had no power anywhere...we will never know :P

| Well I got kicked off my train a stop early last night as there was a "lighting problem" at my station, and then tried to go to the gym only to find it was closed due to a power cut (guessing it and the station were on the same bit of the grid or summat). Aside from that it wasn't too bad. I chose to go to work on the tube rather than the train (tube is also warmer, even though I have a longer walk at the other end, and a lot less stressful as I don't have to deal with crowds and can always get a seat).
