| Senior Member  | Little Warning I know it's not everyones cup of tea, but some people like to roleplay "doing it". That's fine, heck I do it, I'm not here to moan about that. What I am here for is to warn people that there is a ghost going around RPers houses while they're at it, and simply sitting there and watching. His name is Davy Jones (Although there may be others), I have no idea who his alts are so I can't really blame anyone, but if someone knows anything please PM me and I'll help deal with it discreetly. Some of you may not mind someone watching but that's totally down to you. This Davy Jones has been caught twice in my friends home while he's at it, so now he just hides a ghost of his own, then quickly logs on to check if he's around. Some ways to deal with this pester are to make your own ghost (as ghosts can't be detected hidden) and ban him from the house. Or you can simply just make the house private while you're having fun. Whoever this is, it's pathetic and invading the privacy of people. Not only that but we beleive he takes screenshots and passes them about which is just sad really. Just thought you should all know about it, and all help to catch this pervert will be welcomed!

| Ah! Things that go bump in the night!!! Davy Jones is not the only "ghost" around, there is also the ingeniously named Deady. I quite often see them around when I'm on my alt with GM Spirit Speak and tend to party players to advise them that they're around. They refuse to be ressed and get a little abusive sometimes when challenged. Could be they don't realise that a GM Spirit Speaker can "hear" what they say also. I tended to believe that they were just RP spoilers but what Van has suggested puts a different slant on things. Probably just an immature little boy(s) with nothing better to do. Chances are Davy Jones and Deady are the same player.

| Yes Van, the ghost Davey Jones has been around for quite a long time, he was discussed in Vesper Command last year around early summertime as Hanse used to always see him around Vesper with his Spiritspeak. We came to other conclusions of his purpose tho :P, but perhaps this is his reason.

| For a long time -- perhaps still -- there was almost always a ghost at Trinsic gate. One of the RPers we used to interact with sought out Alraune's help IC to try and contact the ghost, which I thought was very clever. I sorta figured it was like an invisible RP monitor, a second account that someone had set up just so they could see if there was activity at the gate. It always seemed harmless to me. What Van is talking about is creepy and extremely unfriendly, especially if the goal is to get logs or screenshots, but it's not surprising really. The hard truth is that *anything* you do online (or, increasingly, anywhere) may be observed by someone ....

 | With having had a public building like the Rose i am quite used to do a lot of detect hidden when i want to make sure there's no one else in the building if there is need for such. Does detect hidden also notice Ghosts ?
