Personaly I trash any recruitment books I find dropped infront of The swaggers inn and my house (which is next door) I find it rude and completely disrespectful of others guilds and quite frankly I have no qualms about it. Should any continue to do so I will publicly ask it stopped if it isnt I will litter your own teritory with 30 books of my own every day till it ends.

yeah this is the funny thing, VanQa and I do joint leaflet drops,we'll drop RM and E-V books, and i've noticed that my Royal marksmen books will be there, yet all the Elven guild books will be gone by the time i've come back to where i've started. Particually in Haven (i'm not accusing OH, cos i know they wouldn't) I find it very odd. Or maybe E-V is just really popular ?
It's not everytime i do it, just every once in a while

Rumour has it a great sage is compiling a grand library atop the highest mountain. My guess is that this chap is buying the books off the poor so that they can eat.

With the price rise in new book production (due to the dwindling forests and the new 'tree felling tax') theres quite a market for secondhand books which the Great Sage is using to his advantage.

So always remember that lost/stolen recruitment book could bw feeding a poor family of four for a week.

a lot of people hate RPers, I've seen d3wds take books many times. So it can't really be stopped, just keep an extra copy of the recruitment book and place new ones the next day.

Im with Jade one this one, if i see them i bin them always have done. It just smells of lazyness to me and i feel there are many more ways more suitable to a RP guild, such as:

1. A RP event in a town to promote your guild. We use to do this in KT alot and use to have a open day sort of thing. There are many towns free for this Skara Brae, Serpent's Hold etc etc. But even if you have to ask permission from the residing guilds it is still doable.

2. Been seen RPing in general, nothing impresses potential recruits than seeing RPer's in action and doing there thing. Ive met some of my greatest friends in UO this way.

There are many many more ways, as im sure you all are aware of. But it is now getting ridiculous at moongates, sometimes you have 3-5 books from RP guilds!

I actually carry KH books around with me I then use them any opportunity I get by actually handing them to players

I find a lot of new players in dungeons and always end up chatting with some along the way.

I see no problem with dropping at gates as its not a very active region for rp but active for more. And a rp town should drop books around their own town, but if -V- were dropping books in trinsic they would be removed.

I dropped one at WBB and someone picked it up, i asked them why and they replied with "litter" :/

Some newish players in Haven will snarf up anything on the ground and either store it or take it to npc vendors to sell.
There are others who just don't like RPers and will do anything to disrupt RP, such as taking books.
