[A letter left in the office of Reann, Justice of Trinsic. It is a beautifully scripted letter on expensive looking parchment, in a style not too dis-similar to copperplate]

To Reann, Justice of Trinsic.

Greetings. I had considered writing this letter in the language of the Drow, but you would be unable to read it. I then thought I would write in your own language, but then you do not understand the language of elves very well either. So I have settled for the common tongue. I want there to be no misunderstandings. You see there are none so blind as those who look but do not see, and none so deaf as those who hear but do not listen. That is you.

Do you know what justice is Reann? Do you understand the concept? To hand out JUSTICE you have to JUSTIFY your actions. You have to PROVE to be right. And yet you did not do this with me. I was accused of some heinous crime brought by some male who?s hatred for my sister is well known. He did it because he stupidly thought he could get her through me. And as your hatred for Vierna is just as strong, you bought it?..you let your emotion run riot.

I denied my involvement when you questioned me, I still do. You had no corroborative witnesses to say I kidnapped him. You had no corroborative witnesses to say I tortured him. You had only the word of one deluded male. And yet on this basis you chose to pass judgement and find me guilty. Is that justice? No it is not. His word against mine, not good enough. You cannot PROVE I did it.

Among other slanderous things, you accused me of being a liar. Perhaps I am. But even if I have lied and did lie about everything else, that does not PROVE I was lying about the kidnap and torture. And what makes you so sure the male was not lying. He is a Drow after all and "all drow are liars"?.your own words Reann. The fact that the male has, according to you, some sort of branding in the image of a spider also does not PROVE I did it. For all I know, and you for that matter, it could have been put there during some drunken orgy he now regrets. To pass judgement, Reann, you need PROOF. And you cannot PROVE a thing.

So Reann, I am going to be fair to you. Something you were not with me. Because I am fair minded and not a bitter individual, I am going to give you a chance to redeem yourself. I am going to let you JUSTIFY your title as JUSTICE.

I want a public announcement that I am innocent of all charges. A public apology that you wronged me and that I am now exonerated of all accusations. Let us see if you are HONOURABLE enough to do that. Prove to me you are not a hypocrite and a puppet.

Oh one last thing. Failure to do so may mean that I will take out proceedings to sue you personally, the city of Trinsic and the Duke as your employer for wrongful arrest, wrongful judgement and wrongful punishment.
