Dear Gwen,

I am furious at the treatment of children at the hands of Vesper. Sakura and Zefar were at the west bridge in Trinsic. They had been playing when Vesper soldiers came. The children gave them cookies and watched as the soldiers went past and searched the city. When the soldiers came back the attacked them with axes and magic. This is two little children of 7 years of age. Sakura said she healed Zefar and Zefar used his veterinary skills on her. I finished healing her when she came home. She didn't want to tell me afraid that her and Zefar would get into trouble. She told me Zefar was going to tell his papa. You may get a letter from him also. Vesper will hear my wraith.

Dear Ruadnit,

It saddens me greatly to hear that innocent elven children are hurt by weapons of Vesperians, but i am surprised that the children were still there when the Vesperians retreated from Town.

I have warned both children before that at the moment there is a great risk in playing in town with these Vesperian Brutes raiding Trinsic often.

Sakura has most likely learned a hard lesson. One can only hope she will not develop an anti-feeling towards vesperians or humans. Perhaps you as her parent can teach her the basics she needs in regards to recognizing a hostile situation so maybe next time she will not hang around and risk endangering herself again.

If i had an army of Silver Warriors behind me, i would march to Vesper and not leave before i have hung them all, Men, women and children, upside down the trees of their woods. Their act in attacking our children has completely wiped out any respect i had left for the Vesperian Militia.

But elas, Ruadnit, i have not an army of Silver Warriors. I will warn our people and we will look after the children as much as we can (although i must add that i believe that your child is your responsibility in the first place, so please talk to Sakura and educate her). I shall also raise the matter during the Next Trinsic Council meeting and speak of my concern in regards to Vesperian Brutes in front of the Council of Knights.
