Troubles in Magincia

Nin muin ehdryn, (my dear parents)

I heard rumors of the township of Magincia being under attack by Demons,
so i decided to go there and have a look to see if the township needed
any assistance. A new ferry service (because the Demons have made it
impossible to travel there by Magic or Moongate) is waiting at the Docks
of Trinsic to take people to Magincia.

The streets of Magincia were empty
and it was eerily quiet everywhere in Town.

Even though Many trees were burned (Wich makes me glad Triel,
our Treeshaper is not here), it seemed an Invasion was prevented.
Brave and patient warriors waited at a corrupted Moongate in a forest
of blackened trees to take down whatever would jump at them from
that Moongate. I lingered there a while to see what would come,
but I think the fight is done.

I shall have a look again tomorrow,
because many believe this invasion is not over yet.

Nin muin ehdryn,

They were right. The Invasion was not over yet. When I returned the next
day i witnessed an incredible fight between the army of Sosaria who has
come to Magincia's rescue and hordes and hordes of deamons of all sorts.
There are Dark Fathers whom usually live in a place called Doom, Chaos
Deamons, regular Deamons and even a type of Deamon i have never seen
before: a Beserker Deamon. But also a large amount of undead accompanies
these Deamons.

It is mostly the greater Deamons such as the Beserkers and the Dark Fathers
that are giving the Sosarian Army a rough time. I've seen many brave men and
women fall unconscious. But the cooperation is good and makes me proud to
be living amonst them and to fight at their sides. People stop to help others
up on their feet without a doubt, without hesitation and with danger for their own lives.
There are even those who do not fight themselves, but who settle themselves
on either the Docks of Trinsic or those of Magincia, only to offer a healing hand.

If you were to sail a boat near the Isle of Magincia, you would often see
smoke come up from the town. The enemy often uses fire in effort to defeat
the defending army and sometimes it feels the entire town is set on fire.

I was shocked and overwhelmed most to discover that some of the citizens
of Magincia must have secretly owned some Blackrock and forgot to bring it
with them when they fled for the Invasion. Some of the enemy gets infected
and then the army struggles most to fight the infected one.

During a shortened tavershift (because of the event in Magincia) someone
asked me if i enjoyed fighting in Magincia. N'uma, edhryn, i do not enjoy.
I do my duty as a sosiarian citizen, but i also fight for other reasons. If these
Deamons are allowed to corrupt a Moongate and take over Magincia, will they
stop there? The Elven Quarter is situated right besides a Moongate. For that
my bow will sing a continuous song, letting my arrows fly wherever they're needed.

Do not worry for your daughter. I will make sure to stay safe. Death will not
find me in Magincia even though i am sure it lurks there and takes many.

5th of November

Nin muin ehdryn,

The Invasion of Magincia continues at the same pace as before.
I have noticed there is a cycle in the strategy of the Enemy.
First the smaller Deamons are send in and when they are taken down
the Beserkers and Dark Fathers appear.
I am unsure if i am the only one noticing this,
as i heard none else speak of this.
Maybe I am wrong, am I so tired of all the fighting, that i think i see a cycle.

What others and Myself did discover is that the Enemy fights amongst
themselves as well. The Beserkers often attack the Dark Fathers and take
them down so quickly that some of us can only watch in awe at their strength.
Many have gotten the smart idea to lure the two together
and let them fight for us, so at least it is one more Dark Father less
to worry about.

Draxandru keeps my Armor in one piece and together with Venka she keeps
my stock of arrows up. I was forced to visit Vanda, the healer that was send
from Eska'eldalie, to have my sore arms looked after. She advises to take it
easy a couple of days and to cut back on my hours in Magincia. I shall take
heed to her advise, ehdryn, but in my heard i already know i cannot stop to
offer my bow in service of Magincia.

Nin muin ehdryn,

I am most gratefull for Vanda and Rose persuading me to visit you, nin ehdryn.
My last visit to you was already too long ago and i felt glad to see you both.
It pleases me that i have not disappointed you and that i have made you proud,
even though you do not always agree with my choices. In my heart i knew this,
but hearing particularly you tell me so has lightened my heart, Atar.

I did not immediately return to Magincia after coming home.
There was paperwork that needed to be done for the Trinsic Rose and the Guild.
Incoming news made me decide after a few days to return.

Much has changed in Magincia !

It appears humans from other parts of Britannia have finally managed
to arrange reinforcements. The Banker that got trapped in the bank has been
rescued and works from the docks now. Proper beds and canons for those
who get injured are now in place. They even build wooden walls to keep the
Docks safe and empty from the enemy.

But they have build strategic walls at other places as well which seems to be
holding off some of the invasion. One can clearly see though that the land and
its people are under great stress. The invasion force keeps coming and has
brought us new deamons to fight against.

Bone Deamons, Chaos Deamons, Hellish Imps, Light and Void Deamons
for example have joined the Ranks of the Enemy. And I suspect that there are
Necromancers (other then the Dark Fathers) in Magincia as well...
but why they are here is unclear.

The earth of Magincia is turning red more and more, nin Ehdryn. Blood of the
Enemy and that of the Defensive forces is flowing freely and richly. I begin
to wonder how long this all will last and what the exact reason is why they are invading.

Nin muin ehdryn,

I hereby send you sketches of the current status of the Moongate.
Please describe this as soon as possible to the Lady Durinka and
to any of the Einyr (Elders) amongst other elves in Eska'eldalie.
I shall send copies to chin ion (your son)/nin muindor (my brother) Amras
in Heartwood and ask him the same.

The immediate area around this phenomenon "feels" wrong,
as if an opening has been created to some evil place...

Nin muin ehdryn,

Apologies for not writing sooner, but the fights in Magincia have picked up
so much that it has consumed all my time. Even though the Sosarian army
manages to drive back the Deamons, it is done at the cost of Magincia's
beauty. The town is a sad sight, nin ehdryn, buildings have partially collapsed
and the streets and forest is full of rubble.

This is happening because of the attacks of the Light Deamons.
They seem to suck in every bit of light around them untill they're fully charged
and then they explode with bright flashes of light and lots of fire.
They also have the ability to lash out with a fire so heated that it is white...

It is awefull and must be stopped. I believe town itself is "lost", but we must
prevent this from spreading to other parts of Sosaria.
