She was glad with chars offer to walk her home, she and hugo been worried about her safety but shelly was just glad with the company really. It had been a very long and exhausting day, still she had the feeling she wouldn't get much sleep tonight.

She felt very guilty towards veg, he didn't deserve this. True, he did leave to gorimdor, but that was to defend his home. Any normal person would do that really and if it wasn't for her daughter she'd probably have gone to fight along. She didn't expect him to come back, but he did, and at a very bad time... She didn't want to tell him immediately for two reasons, she had promised to keep it a secret for now and she knew it would hurt him. He read it from her face though, he knew there was more to it. He said he was going to leave to gorimdor forgood if she didn't tell him the truth, so she did... As expected he didn't take it very well and took off.
She finally found him at the commanders garden, he refused to talk to her though. She would have preffered it if he screamed at her or even hit her or something, but he just sat there, staring at the water.
The commander did scream though, she had hoped the chat would be about what happened at the rose. But appearently it turned into something else as mordred stormed down after a while, followed by cal. She yelled at shelly that she should be ashamed because he could be her father before she ran after him. Keeping it a secret was definately over now as about everyone of the army was at the tavern.. She had feared cals reaction now that kai had left, shelly had grown very fond of the commander over the years and she really didn't want to fight with her so she just kept quiet.
She had never been so glad that people were attacking strongholt as she was at that time. They fought them off pretty quickly, and as the fight was over she noticed mordred wasn't wearing his sash. He left for the temple after asking her to tell the commander to come speak with him. If she didn't, he wouldn't stay in the army, he didn't need to say that last part even. She knew very well what throwing your sash down meant.

She crawled exhausted up the stairs in the house. Changed clothes quickly and when she was about to lay down she noticed the flower on the bed.

She had practically been in the temple all night, All she wanted after yesterday was for him to hold her and tell her everything would be alright, she couldn't bring herself to go home and tell him the bad news.
Since there were only a few dondinians around anymore, she had the temple all for herself. She was talking to the statue in front of her, ofcourse it didn't actually reply but she needed to vent...

"I want to ask him for forgiveness ... But how can I? I don't deserve it really." Even the statue seemed to have an accusing look...

Veg had been nothing but nice to her, never once done anything wrong or shouted at her. When she looked at him now she felt as if somebody was poking in her stomache with a dagger. She felt horrible... There was nothing really that she could say to him to take the pain away...

She couldn't ban Cals words out of her mind either... Her father..., she didn't understand, wasn't natalie about the same age as her, perhaps a few years older but not much. So that couldn't have been what really upset her, did cal hope that now kai was gone she and mordred would get back together?
She had trained so hard for the army, tried so hard and now the commander wouldn't even talk to her anymore... It hurt more then she'd like to admit, she always had admired the commander for how she managed to lead the army.

She wished the boat to gorimdor was there already.

Although this was home for her now, she needed to get out of here. At least for a while. Kaelyn had told her natalie left town when she found out... Much to her surprise, kaelyn didn't really seem very angry at her. She blamed mordred, but this was as much her fault, if not even more... After all, if it wasn't for her none of this would have happened.
And now she had fled the town, she didn't expect her to take it well but this was worse then anything she imagined.
She had problems to look at corwin, after their last chat she had sort of suspected the young maul had feelings for natalie...

She had gotten hurt by men plenty of time, but this time she was the one causing the hurt. She wasn't completely sure which one was worse, but at least she didn't had to go through it alone.
