Tributes paid

Irvyn:
This is not intended to be a lengthy, formal occasion. Nor indeed a too solemn one. We should celebrate what Commander Jurrel did for us, remember him with happiness. Parting is always a sorrow, but we can be grateful that he was with us for the time he was.
Commander Jordan Jurrel was a great man, a loyal ally and a staunch friend. He worked tirelessly for the Kingdom, despite the many great difficulties put in his way, and never wavered in his dedication to all people of Sosaria, whether under the rule of Lord British or not. In the end, he willingly made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us, and for this we honour him.

Flame:
Thank you for giving me this moment. I remember Jordan Jurrel was surprised as well as honoured to receive his position as Commander of the Royal Guard. He was also surprised at how well the Guards excepted his promotion, especially considering him being young in years. I can recall him wasting no time and set to visiting as many as possible to rally there support for future times of trouble to Sosaria. He did not try to lecture those he spoke to, but welcomed what ever aid they had to give and gave out many Royal Guard sashs as a mark for there accepting to aid him. I remember him once saying on one such excursions an enemy of my enemy is my friend. And so his leadership became stronger and he seemed to grow more confident. The trust of his competence put in him by the Royal Council he proved time and time again as he lead the Royal Guard from one victory to another. Often he would call out needed battle information, or would be available at his office, as well as keeping up with the Ruling Council not to mention the endless paperwork. He was very much a front line leader even if at times not always Visable. Although his actions were sometimes misunderstood he was always looking for the best for Sosaria and the end results proved the reason for his actions. Over time Commander Jurrel changed from a young and perhaps naive man into a strong and great leader. One that many including myself looked up to. Sosaria and every person witin it owes Commander Jordan Jurrel so much. He is a great leader, that follow's the Virtues Very closely in everything. I cannot really put into words the situation we find ourselves in today. As I have not fully given up hope that one day we will see Commander Jurrels return. But for now whether he will return or not we can honour a truly great Commander that lead us forward, by following those Virtues he held so dear. Thankyou all.

The Watcher [Elendrik]:
A touching farewell. We watch, as always, and share the sorrow. Live by the Virtues.

Sir Elion:
Amin nay know him well actually, if be honest. Amin see him only few times. We elves live a bit separetely and rarely involved in other metters, but that what happen here in Trinsic was so wierd, and there was a moment when we afraid the evil which come from the crater will fill the city and then destroy all around. We fight here and don't see the end of this fight, new monsters come instead of defeated. Amin wish to say thank you to a man who sacrifice himself to stop it. Now we sitting here because of him. Amin can't add more.

Medric d?Morte:
Many may not know me. But hopefully those that do, will ratify my words. My Lord Jurrell wasn't great to me. Nor what I thought in the virtues I served. I had met him on occassions and we had disagreed. But he held a love, he held a life for this realm that we alll should. An enemy is easily chosen, a friend is less so. The land chooses not either. And my Lord Jurrell would have us defend as much.

Ferral-Orsic:
Roight.. I never knew the man.. But he sounds like a legend.

Catanya:
As was just said, our Commander was, is...a legend. I just wanted to say and remind everyone that as tough times are ahead that we remember him and the things we have learned from him and to not loose faith and hope that he will return someday. He would want us to go on and do what we can for we all, even thoo we have many different backgrounds and beliefs we all want what is best for our lands, and we must come together to face this unknown future. Its what Commander Jurrell would want I believe. Thats ..all.

Tabbitha:
I would just like to say despite the obvious disagreements between Vesper and the Commander on occassions the Hospitallers always held the Commander in the highest regard, and our lands have been a safer place for him having been in Command of them. I speak for us all when I say it has been an honor and a great privelege to of served under his and the Bloodguards command when we have been needed.

******

This record will remain open indefinitely as a Book of Condolence, in order that any others who wish to add their memories of the Commander, or pay tribute to him and his works, may have the opportunity to do so.
