Gerek sat quietly, looking over his plan for the night for a third time. Everything had to be perfect. As always. The basement was quite empty all afternoon. When suddenly Rebecca appeared. She seemed upset, but Gerek couldn't take too much notice to her reason, as he knew all about the matter allready. Tel'var would pay for his deeds sooner or later.... Gerek felt there was no need to rush anything.
Suddenly the new guy appeard. Gerek didn't quite remember his name, but after a while of reflecting in his memory, he recalled the name of Declan. Declan had a serious look on his face. In swaggers that was most unusual thesedays. Gerek felt a darker uncomfort welling over him as Declan wished to speak in private with them. They went inside the kitchen to speak....
The information wasn't something that Gerek enjoyed hearing. Making him even more uncomfortable was that it came from a total stranger. Who seemed to know more than he should. Gerek always knew Tessah was a weak link and should of been disposed at an earlier stage. One of Kirans larger misstakes Gerek assumed. But he couldn't let it continue anymore... "nobody knows who she'll be giving out next time..." was Gereks thought... still Declan was also a threat. Which made Gerek act as unknowingly as possible. He would have to deal with Declan later. Gerek sighed for himself mumbeling: "This would be so much easier with Kiran still about..." and started to dress up.
He found Tessah in the tavern about an hour later. And he asked her to come along and help him with a job. She was used to come to help, especially to a robbery, and it seemed like she wasn't too suspicious when they set off. Gerek came up with a story about a caravan of some merchants that would be travelling from Minoc to Cove. Tessah should work as the bait and get some of them to chase her into the forest, while Gerek took care of the people and goods remaining on the road. Teh plan was bought and she followed Gerek to every step.
The anger had to be controlled within Gerek, keeping him from putting a bolt to her head instantly. They went west of the crossroads. As she was told, Tessah remained on the road, waiting for the "caravan" while Gerek snuck into the forest... He moved around her quietly, placing himself in a tree, watching her intensly, loading his crossbow...
Gerek climbed down quietly and took a few step forward. Aiming the crossbow at her... the fear rose in her eyes as Gerek accused her of the information he had gathered. Although she showed no intentions in trying to deny it. Her death came swiftly enough not to be painful. Gerek felt that he should have made her suffer more. But instead he chose to make other suffer for her doings. Therefore he cut off her head and placed it infront of Swaggers, waiting in the shadows, smiling pleased as people came by and fell to their knees...
He thought within himself..."it was her own doings.. not mine..."...
