| Olaf's Tale
Olaf stumbled out from the tree line in front of Trinsic west gate. The autumn morning covered the great city in a blanket of mist and Olaf took a swig of rum as he looked around. A uniformed guard Olaf did not recognise stood by the west gate but apart from that solitary guard the area seemed empty. As he staggered into town and wandered past the guard’s office his thoughts fell back to the days of chasing Sally Buttons around for a few gold coins or abusing the kaldorian “greenies”. A grin fell across Olafs face as he thought of the good old days. He continued on down the road towards the local inn where he planned on dinner and a good nights rest before applying to join the guards again tomorrow morning.
He knew that after going AWOL he may well find himself in trouble when meeting the duke but the gold coins in his pocket he had left town with all those months ago had long since been spent on ale and women. It was time to brush the dust of his old uniform and attempt to get his badge back... |
