23th. October.

It's early morning at the moment and I'm so exhausted - but yet I can't sleep because my back hurts so much.
But I better start at the beginning, then it will make more sense about why I got this pain.

Yesterday - Rob, Tammy and one of her friends - I think he name was Alfred (Ain't too sure) was at the Swaggers.
Tam's friend, claimed that Rob had robbed him. And with Tammy's temper, she didn't really listen much to Rob - when he claimed to be innocent.
Today, I have no doubts, that he actually was/is innocent.

Anyways - Tam and Rob got into a fight and with her anger - She litterly floored him, before I could say "Welcome to the Swaggers.."

I had been jestering about, we would arrest him and leave him at the cells.
So when he was knocked down, I giggled a bit and then ran down and snatched Hanse's keys to the jail, while he was sleeping.

Our intensions were to lock him into the cells and then laugh a bit at him, before releaseing him.
But oh the horror! It seemed so harmless in the beginning - I mean, it was just a brawl! But now, I realize that we did something terrible to him.

So we locked him in.. and Tammy and Alfred went back to the Swaggers for an ale. I waited for Rob to wake up.. and see his expression.
When he did.. He looked oddly at me. And in the beginning, I didn't realize how bad it was. I thought he was trying to act.
But soon, I realized - That Rob couldn't remember anything. It's terrible.
He believe, he is in his past, where he apparently was together with the Overlords.

Finally Tammy came and she saw how bad it was. We was both scared - What would Hanse have said. We would probably be left in the cells, to rot up there, for breakeing a Guard.

We tried everything to get him to remember that he was a Guard in the Vesperian Army. But all our work failed. Rob was - And still is sure, that he is a member of that Cult.

Rob managed to get away from us. And in the heat, I lost Hanse's keys!
He is gonna get so angry.. I'm not sure, if he knows yet.
I can't remember, If I told him..

So earlier - Tam, Tom and me was in Trinsie and then Rob entered the Tavern. We was reliefed to see he was alright. But getting him to Vesper was harder than we thought.

He got help from the Tailor. She claimed he was a close friend of her husband. Well that could be right. But Rob belongs in Vesper now, with him beeing in the Army and all.
I ran outside the City and used the magic to get back to Vesper, where I found Hanse. I convinced him to follow me to Trinsie, so we could get Rob back to Vesper.

It ended with a huge arguement and a fight. The Tailor lass was wounded and so was the redhaired Guard.
Rob was knocked over outside and carried back to the Swaggers. It's madness - He still don't remember anything at all.

When Rob was more steady, I offered to try and help him out with remembering his work as a Guard and beeing in Vesper.

I showed him the City Hall and he didn't even remember it and claimed he had never been there - Apart from the stairway to the hall with beds.
Here he had apparently spoken with someone - But he couldn't remember who it was.

We continued to the Jails and another little memory popped up. He remembed standing outside it, but that was all.
I tried to make him look at Report from the battles in Minoc, but he didn't remember anything at all.

I took him down to the Hellios Pit. But here there was nothing to get. His mind was blank.

I thought for a while and decided to take him to Minoc, because mebbe that would help him remember the battles, his place in Vesper - Now I'm not sure.. He did remember, fighting a Drow there... Wearing dark armor and a redish sash. I believe it's the Lord Protectors oldest Daugther - I'm not too sure on this matter though. But what Drow would else go there. Her Mother mebbe?

We walked around there and after a while without anything usefull. I got an idea - Well that turned out to be a bad one, in the long run.

I suggested, we went to Stonekeep - Because mebbe the sight of the yewlings would kick in some memories.
We got there, under the storie - That we recently had moved to Abbeywood - A Place Kiran told me about long ago. I've never had set my legs at that place - Gawd! I don't even know where it is!

Anyways - We entered Stonekeep and paid the taxes, pretended to be husband and wife.
It the beginning it seemed to go on well.
The Guards were actually friendly and one of them showed us to the Tavern.
We ordered some water, because I thought it would be better not to get drunk in the enemy territory.

We looked at a Statue of the Lord Protector and some rather thin memories appeared. Rob had seen him before, but the memories was as mentioned rather thin.

Now it gets dull. It really did..
Apparently a Guard had reconized me.. And we was arrested.
Now I think about it - I guess, I was lucky. They could have killed us both easily.

We was asked alot of questions, but I keept saying Rob was named Simon and that was the only thing, I lied about.
No point in lying about myself. The Guard had seen me before in Minoc and telling the truth seemed like the best option here.

I got dragged out of the cell and the woman with the black arms was ordered to find the whip. Now my memory plays with me and I only remember a few flashes..
They tore my dress off my torso and two Guards where holding my arms out, while she cracked the whip at my back - Several off times.
It hurted so much, that I can't even find words to decribe the pain.
I struggled to keep my balance, but my legs felt like warm butter and if it haven't been for the Guards holding me up, I would have layed on the floor.
My back still hurts, when I move - It feels like it's on fire. It stings and is very uncomfy.

I was dumped in the forrest. And not long after Rob came. He managed to get me up on my feet. Gave me his doublet and then we went back to the Swaggers.

I was helped inside by Rob and then I got more flash backs.. Some how I got downstairs - Tom gave me some water, to ease the pain and he cleaned the wounds...
The water helped for some hours - I think he used one of the drugs - But now I'm awake and it hurts as feck..

Then the largest surprise came... I was downstairs and then he was there..

Thursday 16th. November.

After a very quiet evening at the Swaggers, I decided to go to Trinsie and see, if anything was going on.
Now I know it was rather late and to be honestly, I didn't suspect to met anyone at all.
When I reached Trinsie, I decided to check the Keg and Anchor - If no one was there, Then I could atleast grab
a drink, before heading back home and cuddle up to Hanse.
Poor man. So much work and early shifts.

Anyways - Not far from the Keg and Anchor, I ran into Hanse's niece - Lyonya.
She is a great Lass. I know, I haven't known her, that long - But I really like her. She is just hillarious!

We greeted eachother and then we fell in talk.
She asked, if I had been at the Swaggers - I nodded and told her,
that it was so late and that people probably was laying in theire beds sleeping.
Since we both was rather bored and had nothing to do.

I suggested, we would could take a trip to Stonekeep, get a pint and then return to Vesper.
Lyonya was in for it. She just had to change out of her Vesperian uniform - As it got her into troubles last time
she went there.
I considered, dyeing my hair into another colour. But then again, beeing so late - I did suspect Stonekeep to be empty.

At first - Stonekeep was empty. We entered the Tavern. Apparently the Yewlings had been whipping Lyonya at the tree infront of
the Tavern. It made me think of that 'Tearheart'. I wasen't tied to any tree. I was getting holded inside the Citadel.

We entered the Tavern and Lyonya ordered herself some rum, while I took some white wine.
At that time, I didn't have the slightest clue, that we would be close to death. I'm so scared.
We talked a little back and forth about all sort of things, and we litterly had a great time.

After our drinks, we decided to head home.
But outside the Tavern, I ran into Angfans friend. I've seen them leave Trinsie together.
And I honestly thought, when he was beeing friends with her, then we would be safe aswell.
I was wrong. I hate myself for beeing so naive. And I don't even dare to think, what Hanse would think of me now..
The man, didn't care.
And the whole thing backfired, when I mentioned Angfan.
He claimed, that if we was friends of Angfan, then we was clearly from the Rebel City.
Bleh! What was we suppose to say?!
He would never have listend, even if we had tries to explain.[/center]

[center]Lyonya convinced him to go down to the Tavern with us for a drink.
And after a while he followed. He didn't drink though. He just claimed to be working for the Nobles.
What an arse! Really!

While he was disgussing with Lyonya a Undead entered the Tavern.
It's the first Undead, I've seen outside the Graveyard and I can't think of anything more scary, than -that-.
He.. It is on the size on a full grown Man - Just without the flesh or well partly without.
It's bones and part flesh.. Just thinking of it sends chills down my spine. I've never seen anything like it!
It walked.. And stared at us, with it's eyes - No it wasen't eyes, it was glowing eyesockets.
Argh! It's creepy and I've had turned all light on at the Swaggers, as I sit here writeing. I'll never leave the building alone, if it's dark.

First I was so shocked, that I can't even remember what I said.
I'm scared - I'm terrified. Please God, if you excist. Don't let them come to Vesper.

I can't believe it.
He left us. The Guard left us alone with that Undead.
It was cackling and when it tries to move left around the table, we started to walk away from it - Always keeping the table between us. But it was smart, makeing sure that we couldn't reach the damn door!

I went into panic. I could have swore, that this was the end.
Lyonya managed to calm me down somehow. And I tried to avoid looking at it.

I screamed for the Guard, but he was gone. He had really, -really- left us alone with it.

A thousand thoughts ran through my mind. I was so sure, I would see my Mum.. and my Dad again.
How would people back home react, when they found out? IF they found out, because - I doubt that Guard would tell anyone about.

I'm normally a very openminded person to people. And I would NEVER have left another human beeing alone, with whatever have threathend Vesper. Never.

He really hates us.
How can he hate us for just wanting to have the Loyalists leaveing Minoc alone?`
It beats me. I can't find any logic for it.

Lyonya was so brave. She casted one spell after another at the Undead.
While I ran towards the door, I threw everything I could lift, after the Undead and when I reached the door, I keept it open - Hopeing she would get a chance of getting out!
She continued fighting it, while I was paralyzed of fear in the door. Just watching this.. This Nightmare.

And after - What fell like hours, she managed to blow It up.
I'm so worried for her.
Because not long after, she complained about not beeing able to see and that she had this
foul taste of rotten meat in her mouth!

She started to throw up and I've never felt this helpless before.
All I could do, was trying my best to comfort her.
I asked her several of times, if she had been bitten by it and she claimed no.

I've heard from a friend, that is rather familiar with Undeads - Who have fought them several of times, that you should be carefull not getting bitten by them, as it could turn you into one of them.

How am I gonna explain this to Hanse?
"Hi Hun, did I tell you how much I love you... By the way - I took your niece to Stonekeep. And now... Well now she can't see! And she got this taste of rotten meat!"
I won't even be able to finish that line to him. I will die, as soon as I mention, she can't see...

Mayhaps, that's for the best too.. I got his Little Lion seriously wounded.
I've been cleaning the cutwounds on her hands.. And I've been giveing her a warm bath and clean clothes.
It didn't help. She can't see, nor can she get that taste out of her mouth!

Ly mentioned this Agnes woman.. Mayhaps she know something about those symtoms.
Please, God.. Let her know what to do. Because everything, I tried have failed!
I've sended for her. And now, I watch Ly while she sleeps.. I'm too worried to sleep myself.

Wednesday 22th. November.

The Swaggers is quiet at the moment and since I already stocked the shelfs and checked if we needed anything downstairs - I got nothing to do right now, apart from waiting for the first Customers to arrive.

Tammy mannaged to get herself banned from Trinsie. I had the feeling, that -it- might happen.
Tammy's temper is the same, as it always have been.
She can be a pain at times, but then again - She can also be very protective and helpful towards her friends.
She ain't a bad person.

Speaking of 'Bad Persons' ...
The evening, where Tammy got banned from Trinsie, I noticed - That the Redkilts got a Recruit (Which ain't unusual) - But a Drow?!
I thought Drows, were only plotting against eachother and theire surroundings - Not to mention starting fights.
Ahh well, it's not really my business - Hell, I don't even live in Trinsie!

I tried to cheer Lyonya up a little yesterday. Bought her a bottle of rum.
- Irk! I don't understand how, she can drink that. It feels like your tongue gets on fire. Irk!
Her sight still ain't better.
I've been asking around, between the diffrent customers, if they knew what to do.
And one of them suggested, that we should seek out the People from Umbra and the idea is better than nothing, I've came up with.
I do wonder, if I should go there and bring Lyonya.. Because, I haven't seen Agnes, since she was at the Swaggers and tried her best to help Lyonya.

I haven't seen much to Hanse either lately.
He is busy with the Vesperian Army and I can't demand, that he stops by the Swaggers all the time.
And to be honest - Ack! Can I really write this?
I haven't really noticed, he's been away, because I've been keeping myself entertained at the Swaggers.

I'm starting to get worried about myself.
It's the flirting, I feel like it's takeing me down a path, where I can't really control what's happening.

Locke, has - After he returned sleept at my place, since he don't wanna sleep at Tammy's anymore.
Well, he ain't in my bed. He is on the rug downstairs infront of the fireplace.
He kisses my forhead and tells me soft words... Is he another womanizer? I bet it, and this is were I know - I'm so unexperienced...

I feel so guilty and it surely don't make it better - kissing and playing around with Hedlyn.
Just made me feel worse. I found out the hard time, back when I was together with Kiran.
With this path, I'll end up hurting someone, and probably get hurted myself...

And like this all this wasen't enough. Hedlyn and Locke don't like eachother.
Hate when my friends can't get along.
They were fighting the other day.. Or well not excatly fighting. It was more Locke beating on Hedlyn.

It have actually been a while, since the Besieger have stopped by the Swaggers, I do wonder if he had been caught...

Thursday 14th. December.

Ahh, Is there anything better - Than a nice warm mug filled with tea, a soft rug some pillows and a warm fireplace? I strongly doubt it.
I'm starting to feel normal in my limps again after freezeing my bum off at Cove's Winter Market.
It was cold, but I did make 3689 doubloons and that was after, I dumped what was suppose to be dumped in the pile at the Swaggers.
Even though, I was freezeing, I was actually enjoying myself.
So many people to speak with and look at.
Oh! and the Ice! That was just hillarious to watch.
Some people seem better skateing than others, that's for sure.
I didn't try it out - And I'm sure - with my recent luck, that it was a rather smart decision.
Otherwise, I probably would have fell and broke my arm, leg or neck.

In the beginning of last week, a very familiar face came to the Swaggers. Kalya.
I was so happy seeing her. It's been a while, since I last saw her at the Swaggers.
But I do understand, that she had her reasons.
Kalya had found and adopted this little, charming drowish girl and I believe, it was Anna, who didn't want the lil' girl at the Swaggers.
Anyways - Kalya's lil' one decided to leg it after some time. And Kalya had needed time on her own to deal with it.
I'm not sure, how I - Myself would react, if I found a charming little one in the forrest. I would probably beg Hanse for race papers and keep moaning, untill he gave in and then react the same way as Kalya, if the child decided to run off.

I couldn't help by chuckling the day .
Seems like Esca after some wine got a bit too provoking towards Hanse and with Hanse temper... He can seem a bit short tempered at times.
He always claim, he don't really abuse his rank, of beeing a Captain for the Vesperians.
It is the first time, I've seen him demote someone. And I do believe, it's the only time it had happend - Atleast, when you think about the silly comment Esca said.
I couldn't help, but feeling a wee bit sorry for Esca - His a nice Chap afterall and gives some good tips aswell.
Went up to Hanse with the certain look, that I found out he can't resist. He wasen't grumpy for long.. And it seems, like it had some sort of effect aswell, cause Hanse didn't keep Esca's old badge for long and Esca was happy again. Heee - Now I think about it, I doubt it was my look or my sweet talking. I think, Hanse was just messing with him... One way to find out - Ask Hanse.

I do wonder, if it works with Tammy's lashes, as Hanse told me she was in for.
I tried it once in my life - And it was just terrible. It didn't only hurt, while the whip was cracked at my back.
But for several of days after. I wished, he would just fine her or something like that.
Hmm, I can try ask him - Who knows, if it will work?
Lashes are just so... ugh! - Even for our short tempered redhaired one.

I've been spending alot of time lately with Heddy and most of the evenings have been enjoyable.
I found out, what excatly it is, that he do for a living - And I'm not even sure why, but I really hate his work!
He works for a company, his Sister is in charge off. It's named the Black Caste. Hmm Black, no wonder why it's called that - Light-shy work. He told me about it, when I asked into it.
I'm not sure, what to feel to be honest, apart from I hate the job.
I mean, he told me, he don't do the 'dirty work' - But ain't it as bad, telling others to do it?
He claims, he only gets the letters - And tells others, what that needs to be done.

Some days, before Trinsie got trouble with spellcasting tree's, Heddy and I went to the Keg and Anchor for a pint.
Ofcause, the Kaldorian Viper Captain was there along with some of his Kaldorian friends - Ugh! It felt so akward enteringing, after I 'litterly' molested him with that silly game of Dares.
And the first words, that slipped my lips - Were ofcause "I'm sorry!".
Later I found out - That Talon, as his name is, wasen't grumpy about it and that he was just teaseing me - How mean! I'm the one, suppose to tease around here!
Anyways, he had overheard my moanings to Heddy about, that I'm a bit low on cash after moveing and he gave me a offer, that I really have a hard time resisting. He would offer me, the same as the Swaggers give me pr. week for some.. Infomations.
I've been thinking about it alot lately - And I know, I told Heddy, that it didn't feel right and that I would tell Talon no. But I do need the money and Talon did promise me, that nothing would happen to my friends.

It have really gotten way out of control lately and I do believe, I'm not the only one missing Anna.
Kyte was sitting next to Heddy at the Swaggers and with my curiousity, I noticed Kyte was writeing a letter. First, I thought it was some love letter and I was dying to know, what it said - But Nooooo - Kyte keept laying his hands over it, everytime I tried to peek.
I did noticed he gave it to Heddy, but it was before I found out what Heddy do for a living.
So - What do I do? I ofcause, bring Heddy with me home and nick the letter and read it..
That's probably the weeks largest shock. Kyte had asked for help with Tammy and Tessah. That's just so wrong!
You bloodi don't go hire someone to deal with your friends - the people you work with!
I wanted to speak with Kyte about it. So at that time, I didn't show the letter to anyone. I just tugged it away.

Anyways - Later that evening Tammy, Tessah and me was out... Looking for people.
I should - As always be the bait, which is fine enough. Tammy is pretty fast - Not sure with Tessah, as I never 'worked' with her outside the Swaggers.
So we went to Trinsie.. Noone was there.. Back to Vesper.. to Cove.. And then...
Then we decided to head back to Trinsie again.
Tammy and Tessah were faster than me, and I was out of scrolls so I had to run towards the portal.
Man - Did I get the shock of my life or what?! Seems like we had not been alone. Cause some Lass, who I later found out, was named Su-mi Park had been following us in the shadows.
She did mention both Tammy and Tessah and then I just got the creeps!
I thought, she was after Tammy and Tessah!
So I legged it and found Tammy at the Trinsie western gate. I was worried, that the wench would get there before me, but I think, I managed to get there first.. Or well mebbe at the same time - I didn't know, that Su-mi already was in the shadows. In my panic and fear for my friends - I told Tammy the whole thing - About the letter from Kyte.. About Su-mi and that was probably the worst mistake.

Several of insults were flying through the air and after a while, Tammy got bored and wanted to head back to Vesper.
She asked me to come with her - But I told her, that I would just go bank some stuff and then met her back at the Swaggers. At that time, I wasen't scared of Su-mi, but when she keept blocking the way for me, by stepping infront of me - No matter which side, I tried to move to.
Clearly Su-mi was annoyed that, I told Tammy. But what was I suppose to do? Letting Su-mi harm my friends, would make me as guilty as Su-mi for attacking them. I just couldn't do that.

She grabbed me rather roughly at my jacket and sneered at me and then things just kicked off.
I told her to release me - But she didn't and I reached out for her hair, pulling it as hard, as I could.
Then the Cow bit me! She bit me! Oooh, I got so angry so I went to scratch her face.. Shame, I couldn't scratch her ugly yella eyes out. Then I don't remember much. I get the blackouts.. I remember, she pulled this knife..
And then a sting in my stomach and the blood on my hands..
I don't remember, how excatly I got home... But Heddy was at my place and he tried to patch me up the best he could. During the night, I started to bleed again and I seeked a healer.
Apparently, Su-mi stabbed me worse than we thought, cause the Healer had strong doubts, that I would be able to get children in the future.

It's so strange.. I never really thought much about children. Hanse and I had spoken about them, aye - I mean, out in the future. And now.. With that sort of message from a Healer...
I haven't said anything to Hanse yet, He is busy with his work and I don't wanna worry him.
Afterall - Doubts ain't a entire no, right?

Thursday 25th. January.

I have been in Nujel'm helping my Dads sister, before her Son got marriged. I didn't really feel like going, but staying away would have been very rude and afterall, they are the only Family, I have left.
But now, I'm back in Vesper and God - It's great to be back home!

I really missed all my Friends..
Hmm, I do wonder, if the rumour spread so fast, that they already know, I'm back.
Guess we'll see tomorrow, when I go back to work.

As far, as I know - Hanse is the only one, that knows I'm back. Well apart from the few people, I saw in Trinsie.

Strange how fast things can change. Seems like Vesper is getting very unpopular for reasons, I don't understand.
The Alliance between the Vesperian Guards and Cove and the Kaldorians seem broken.
Hmm, I wonder if Kiran have been involved. I'll ask him, when I see him.
From what I understood, when Hanse was spilling the beans, The Covians threw firepotions on the Vesperians.

Not sure, what was going on with the Kaldorians. Guess they like Cove more than Vesper.
Hanse is seeking new Allies. I do hope he get them. Hmm, I should speak with Hedlyn too, mebbe he can come up with something usefull for Vesper.
Do wonder, where he is hideing.. Pfttt! No need to wonder, I'll see him at the Swaggers sooner or later.

So tired right now and I feel a bit sea sick.
It's like the floor is moveing up and down like that darn boat!
Hopefully a good night of rest, will make me feel better tomorrow.

Monday 29th. January

What a surprise I came back to.

Anna have stepped down and left me in charge of the Swaggers Inn.
I'm so nervouse and scared.
What if I can't do the job as well as She did?

The tensions between Kiran and I have eased alot, which is a relief.
He have been working there, since before I started and I really need his help, with the Swaggers.
Actually, I'm blessed - I really am.
I got my best friends at the Staff and I'm sure, if I ask them, they would give me a hand, with whatever it could be.
Bless them all.

There are some very disturbing things though.

Kiran told me, that while I was in N?jel'm the Guardsmen from Yew had been there and litterly forced the Staff into working as Hirelings for them. We should be in disguises, but If we denied, the Yewians would burn down the Swaggers.
Argh! Just thinking of it, makes my stomach hurt as feck!

I'm scared, that the Vesperians find out.
What would they do..
Behead us?
Hang us?
Or is hanging only used in Yew?

Hanse would be so dissapointed. Actually no - He would be so pissed, that I can't find words to describe it.
I first thought "Piece of cake, We'll just tell the Vesperians and they will smack some Yewian bum with help from theire Allies."
But were I in for a surprise or what - when I told Kiran about my thoughts... Vesper and Cove are in war.
And now, apparently the alliance between Kaldor and Vesper is broken.

All because of that bloodi Markie!

Kiran and I had been in Trinsie, speaking with the Elves as we was starting to run low on Ler Vontano, the Elvish wine.
When we came back to the Swaggers - Hanse and some of the other Guards was standing outside the Swaggers with a Markie from Yew, that claimed he wanted to speak with Kiran!

Argh! I thought, that was my last moment. Cause Kiran had a drink too much at the Rose and I was dead scared, that he - in his statement would tell the Vesperians everything.

We managed to make the Vesperians believe, that it was a plot - That the Yewian was only trying to cause trouble.
I was so releifed, when Hanse suggested takeing the Yewian to Trinsie.
Afterall, it sounded like a good plan. Yew have been attacking Trinsie a few times and mebbe they would have been happy to see - Least one of the Yewians back in Trinsie for justice.

They left and I managed to get Kiran inside. Where I tried to sober him up.
After a while Lyonya came back and dumped down on a chair at the Bar.
She told me, that now hell seemed to have been leashed and to be honest - I fear she is right.

Apparently the Kaldorians had attacked the Guards, as soon as they spotted the Vesperian Uniforms and ofcause the Vesperians had tried to defend themselfs.

Lyonya left the Swaggers and then a rather annoyed Ikus arrived and asked for Hanse or Mr. Twothumb. He wanted an explanation about what happened and why Hanse had ordered the Vesperians to attack the Kaldorians.

I went like, what the feck?!
And then I started to explain, what Lyonya told me.
Ikus didn't wanna disguss those things with Davions Lass and it ended up with me getting moody over, that Ikus apparently didn't believe much I said.
Even though, Hedlyn had been watching it all from the Shadows.

Today, I don't really blame him.
Afterall, I am Hanse's lass and I can imagin if he thought, I was just takeing Hanse's or Vespers side in those matters.
Anyways - I left Hanse a letter on his desk at the jail. Then hopefully Hanse will speak with Ikus and they will get things sorted out.

Vesper appears to be all alone and it seems so hopeless.
I feel terrible, with holding this secret with us working for the Yewians.
OH MY GAWD!
What if the Yewians, want us to aid them in some insane raid against Vesper?!
Oh Gawd! I'll jump off the roof, if that happens!

Hanse is seeking new Allies in the Dragoni's who have moved to Vesper from Haven, I believe it was.
But I'm not sure, that will be enough, if there is war with Vesper vs. Yew, Cove, Trinsie and argh Kaldor!

Oh This is bad! This is really bad!
Worse thing, is Kiran is takeing it rather relaxed! ARGH!
What won't Anna say, if she comes back on a visit and finds the Swaggers in Ashes?! ARGH!

Friday, 16th. March

It's been a while, since I last wrote a page or two in the diary..

I needed some air and to get something of my chest. So I sneaked to Trinsie and entered from the south city gate.
I managed to find him rather easily and we found a place were we could speak alone. He gave me an advice, but I am not sure, if it's wise to follow it.
Afterall, Kiran seems to have the problems under control.

Anyways, I return back home and to my surprise, alot of Guards from Yew had lined up infront of the Swaggers.

In the beginning, I had no idea what were going on, but I found out.
It turned out, that Lance Sanders had been claiming to be a Commander of Vesper and that he had the athorities to give away land - So ofcause, He gave Minoc to the Yewians.

I were so shocked.
The Vesperians had been fighting for several of months and were able to fight the Yewians off. And then.. then he just gave it away, without even blink - or thinking!
Miss Tabbitha and me were protesting the best we could!
But it was like speaking to a door!
Sanders claimed, that if he had not handed over Minoc, the Yewians would have slayed us all. I don't know..
Mebbe he were right. I doubt though, that they would have attacked.

What I do know is - That Sanders is no longer within the Vesperians militia.
And I believe, he is very wanted.
Ugh! Guess, Hanse will be chopping his head off, if he manage to find him.

The whole mess have nailed the truce between Vesper and Yew to the ground.
From what I heard last night - The Vesperians are getting ready to fight
- And to throw the Yewians out from Minoc again. And I do hope - The Gods will be on the Vesperians side.

Hmm.. Heard the door upstairs, Will write more later..

Tuesday, 27th. March.

Ahh the joy! The last few days at the Swaggers have been great - Apart from late yesterday evening...
But the business is going well and I have hired a few more hands - Two Barmaids and a Bus boy.

The two new Barmaids are Cala and Tix.
Cala had no experience. But as she said, she is a fast learner and she is right. She's doing great!
Tix approched me the day after Cala and then asked, if we needed another Barmaid. I know, she have experience with the job and instead of 'wasteing' time on haveing two Barmaids without any experience, I decided to hire her.

The Bus boy is named Darien.
He claimed to be 18, but I doubt he is a day over 14.
And I found out, what he is.. Oooh yes, the eyes on my necklace..
The way he picked up the mug infront of him. I know his type so well.
He asked for a job and I explained him the rules for beeing part of the Veeties. He will get such a wack with the broom, if he steals from me or any of the others.

I told him, that Kiran wouldn't be fond of him - He just can't stand Elfs, Drows.. Hmm actually every creature, that ain't human.
But Darien didn't seem to be bothered. So, lets see how it works out.

Rumours about a new tavern, located in Yew reached me some nights ago and I decided to check it out.
That evening, had been a bit slow - So Cala and I closed the doors early and I asked her, if she wanted to come with me to Yew.

To be honest, I preferred to have someone with me, and I am happy that she came along.
I don't like going to Yew. The experince with the lashes are still very fresh in my mind - Even though, it happend so long ago.

We got changed and went through the moongate in Minoc. When we stepped through to Yew, I explained to her - That we would just ask the Guardsmen for directions to the Tavern, pay the tax and get out of Stonekeep.
That place - Just gives me the creeps!

When we arrived Stonekeep there was just one single Guard there. I asked for directions and she gave them to us.
Haha! She apparently forgot to ask about the tax! Take that Mr. Lord Protector!!

The Tavern is located between Stonekeep and the eastern guardpost.
It lays in the meadow in the forrest - No wonder, why theire village are named "Deepwood".
The Ranger is cosy - Not so large, but a cosy little place.

A older man came, while we was sitting there and I asked him for the Taverns speciality.
It turned out, that one of the girls there, brew some wine, named "Mandrake Wine".
The Man offered us a bottle and I must say, I am impressed.
The wine were grand.

I asked, if it were possible to get a word with this girl, as I would be interrested in buying a few bottles of it and then try sell them at the Swaggers.
Who knows - Mebbe they could be interrested in selling some good from Vesper?
Afterall, it is worth a try.

Oh my Gawd for an dissaster yesterday!
Gia, Kalam and me were alone at the Swaggers and ofcause I were in the mood for... Trouble.
Ack! Can't believe, I'm not over that stage yet! - Surely it must be some sort of fase.

I talked them both into go muggling a few. For some odd reason, we went to Stonekeep. Yaaar! Steal from the Annoying and Gia would be happy for the coins - Thats for sure.
To our large dissapointment, there were no-one around and then we headed to Trinsie.

The Plan were quiet simple.
Gia should ask for directions to the Trinsie Rose and lure the Victim with her.
Kalam and I would be standing in the shadows and wait for them to arrive.

We waited and Gia managed to find a red-kilt.
We jumped out.. and well, then it just went wrong!
I shouted "Pass the coins, or we will take yer loife!". The Elf just looked as us, as if we had fallen from the sky and said "No".
This is were it goes really bad! - We hesitated and as if she casted a spell, a friend of hers arrived! Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
Have I mentioned, how much I -hate- Mages?!

I managed to make her bleed once, but the Cow managed to hit the warfork out of my hands. So annoying!
I got away with a few wounds and bruises and Gia got out of the City unharmed.
Unfortunally, they arrested Kalam!

I found Kiran at his usual place, by the shelfs and asked him for a favor.
I wanted him to go to Trinsie, claim that he had heard some some woman, that his son had been arrested in Trinsie - Before Kiran could reply, the door to the Swaggers went open - and voila! Kalam was back!

That were such a relief.
I hate, when the Veeties are beeing held in the jails and since, it was my idea to begin with...
Thank Gawd, that they didn't decide to keep him there overnight and then he were to face some flogging or whatever they can come up with.

Thursday - 12th. April

Mmm, Who would have known, that a tip could almost start a fight between myself and Rand from the Vesperian Militia?

I came to the Swaggers and found Kiran standing at the bar and Rand sitting on the chair with his nose burried in the snow. Getting one lane after another.
This ofcause - Resulted in Rand getting really, really high.
He spend hours looking at his hands and why should I not take advantage of it?

When Rand was as high, as a man possible could get on the snow, I walked up to him with the sweetest smile, I could give and asked him for a tip..
Rand just nodded and staggered out from the Swaggers and a few moments later he returned with the best tip, I ever resived!
- A check on 100.000 doubloons! Hua!
I placed the check in a safe place and there I plan to keep it, untill something comes up and I need a large amount of money..

Ofcause Rand found out about the tip - It turns out that it was his Family fortune. He tried to make Partisan Macil beat me, when I claimed, that I had spend every diem of his family fortune on dresses, sandals, gems - All sorts of shite, that could cost a fortune and what I don't need.

He tried to threathen me, with burning down the Swaggers.
That actually made me worried and when I was about to come clean and go pick up the check - Esca and Draxen arrived.
Thank Gawd, I can cry on command!
I managed to get Esca and Draxen on my side, so the Swaggers is safe..

Draxen made it clear to Rand, that touching me - Would mean that the Captain would kill him 13 times, before he hit the ground.

I smile a little, when I think about what Draxen said, but it also stings alot inside of me.
I broke up with Hanse yesterday.

I am not sure, its a good reason, but I really feel, like I am the 'third wheel'.
Hanse loves the Militia - There is no doubt about it.
It just hurts, that I only get an hour with him, once a week - sometimes every 14. days.

I know, he is trying to make time for both the Militia and me.
And I do know, that the wars and such takes alot of work.
It just hurts, beeing the second choice.

Who knows, what will happen in the future?
Mebbe there will be peace, and we can have a change...
I don't know and I don't wanna think about it either, because that hurts.

Actually, I don't know, what I want.
I just hope, Hanse can cope with it. I hate the thought of him beeing sad...

We have a new Barmaid at the Swaggers - Her name is Shar-Tisha.
She don't seem so old, and I am rather concerned for her.

Yesterday, we had a episode which lead into arguements between Kiran and me - And ofcause Gerek had to get involved too. Darn Git - Why can't he mind his own business for once?

I were upstairs manding the bar when Ayseh come running up the stairs, claiming Kiran was beating Shar-Tisha. I went like, what the feck?
Follow her down and find Kiran twisting Shar's arm on her back.

After a bit of shouting at Kiran, this leaves me with the feeling of beeing really silly.

It turns out, that Shar-Tisha is Kiran's student and that he is learning her how to fight and how to survive.
I looked at Shar-Tisha and asked, if that was the truth. She seemed with with it.

I am just so annoyed that I didn't know anything about it.
If I had known, I could have calmed down the staff and let them know, that there was nothing to worry about.

Anyways, this whole misunderstanding lead into one of the larger arguments between me and Kiran.
And in the end, he took of his apron and left the kitchen and the Swaggers.

I walked upstairs rather annoyed and when they asked, about Kiran. I just told them how it was - That I didn't fire him, he just left his apron and then walked away and that it seemed like, that I was in need of a new Bar Manager.

Mmm, it turns out that Kiran regreted leaveing the Swaggers and I just pushed the apron back to him. Then he can take it or leave it.

We actually managed to speak without raiseing our voices...
I know, this aint right, but I can't help to wonder about, when the next arguement will come.

I still got Gerek's apron.
He gave it to me, when I refused to tell him, about the argument.

He claimed he could come back to the Swaggers now and then and that he hoped, I would tell him.
But why should I tell Gerek anything, that aint his concern?

Saturday - 21th. April.

Whoa! I doubt, things can get anymore chaotic, than they are now!

The Spring Festival in Trinsie is comming closer and closer for every minute.
The kitchen, is busy and there is a constant running of the staff - In and out, the Packhorses are ready and hopefully things will fit, like a hand in a glove.

I got worried, when I saw the poster outside the Swaggers.
Now it seems, like Vesper and Trinsie are in open war and ofcause the Vesperians are banned from Trinsie again.
Hell, even the Veeties got banned!

I do believe, the Trinsian Captain are doing it to annoy me and unfortunally it works! Argh! I hate, when wars harm my business!
Those damn wars! They ruin so darn many things!

Anyways, I wrote a letter to the Dukes son, Isidore.
I were a bit worried, that the Veeties would be arrested as soon, as we stood infront of the Trinsie Gates.
Thank Gawd, Isidore could inform me - That the Spring Festival would be running as planned and they still wanted us to deliver the food, wine, tables and such. What a relief!

Now, yesterday Kiran informed me, that we are in a little bit of finansial problems. Now we are keeping the cards close to our bodies.
As much, as I hate it - There were no other choice.
We decided, that all doubloons - Includeing the tips, the Staff pull in, should go into the shelf. With a little luck, we can pull it back on track in a month or two.

The Staff, were informed that it was not a permanent desicion and they seemed to understand. Ofcause they were worried for theire wages, but I promised them, that they would get them Sunday, as always.
Furthermore, the Swaggers would give them free meals, as both Kiran and I know, most of the Staff live of theire tips.

Kiran seems to have pulled some cheaper ales home from the Kaldorians.
But he needs a week or so before the ship with the goods arrive.
Furthermore, he also managed to set up some business with Rand.. Shadehead! I knew it! Major shade head!

With the Spring Festival and Abi and Conans wedding reception tomorrow,
I hope - We can pull in the coins, that needs to get us back on track.
Otherwise, we will have to set up an auction, like we did a year ago.

Like that wasn't enough - Yesterday, some Brigands arrived and litterly attacked our new Barkeep and myself and trashed the Swaggers.
Thank Gawd - The rest of the Staff managed to flee.
I resived alot of bruises - Mostly on my torso and my arms, as I tried to cover myself. I bloodi look like, I've been hit by a darn horse wagon and it do concerns me a little, that it hurts when I breathe.

I have no clue on who they were.
But I will speak with Kalam and hopefully he can find out, who the Bastards are!
I so want theire damn heads on a plate! All of them!

Hmm, where were the Bouncers, when I bloodi needed them?!
They are in for such a yelling, when I find them! Slackers!!

Sunday - 22th. April.

Today started out perfect and I honestly thought, we would get a grand evening.
So much to do, when you are suppose to hold a wedding reception.

Cala were so kind, giveing me a hand with the arrangements and I am thankful, that she took her time.
Like me - She wanted to give Abi and Conan a special day and hopefully something to remember.

We managed to get hold on Mic - the Craftie from Vesper.
I explained to him, what I had in mind and then we left him to alone, so he could work, while Cala and I splitted up in two.

Cala would go grab the cakes, we had ordered from the bakery and I went down to the butcher after the meat.
Returning to the Swaggers, we started to prepair the meat.
Bleh, I got so sore feet right now.

Abi were stopping by now and then - but Cala and I didn't tell her anything, apart from everything were under control and she could just look forward to the evening.

So the tables, chairs, plates, goblets.. the food were ready and I grabbed a fast bath and then got into the dress with the matching hat, that Abi had given me.
We left for Church and then.. then we started to wait..

Life can be so cruel. So terrible, that words can't even explain it.

So we were sitting there, people were arriveing and then..
Then he stood her up. I feel so terrible sorry for Abi and I wished there were something, I could say to make her feel better.

We went back to the Swaggers, after we gave Conan alot of time to get his lousy covian arse to the Church.
Cala went and spoke with the other Covians and then the sad news arrived.
The Covians had not seen Conan and they doubted, that he would show up.

Heartless, cruel fecker!
I hope, yer arse will itch forever and yer arms will be too short to reach!

We brought Abi back and then we left her with some of the other Barmaids. Cala and I rushed off to get all the tables away.
We didn't wanna hurt her more, than she already is.

All we can do now, is hope that Abi won't waste more time on that arse
and, that this episode haven't traumatised her forever.

With this turnout of what were suppose to be a memory, I now know - That I won't ever get married. I said it before - I know. But I am not sure, I could handle it the same way as Abi.

I admire her for keeping her head so high.
I would have been crying my eyes out, if I had been in her shoes.

I just hope, that she know, she got nothing to be ashamed of - that the huge mistake were not her fault.

Tuesday - 15th. May

Lately the conversations in Vesper have been about the election.
Politics aint my strong side and with the election moveing closer, I am still in doubt on where to place my vote.

There is a handful of Candidates and some of them are more fitted for the job, than others - thats for sure!

The campaigns laugh must be Rand and Draxie.
- Dear Gawd, have mercy on us!
I dont get along so well with Rand - and with Rand as a Baron, I would prolly find myself tied to a chair made of stone and then PLOP! Free fall from the bridge behind the Swaggers.

Draxie might have a chance, as I believe most people like him - I know, I do.
But mebbe his age is against him - His rather young, if you compair him to the other candidates.
And wouldn't all the paperwork bore Draxie to death?
According to rumours, Draxie and Rand have given up already.
Guess theire "Vote on us, or we will smack your skull in" backfired.

Olk is also a Candidate for the election.
He got some interresting ideas, but would they hold in reality?
He wants civil harmony in Vesper - Which sounds good enough.
More provincial titles - Mayor of Main and West Vesper and
Governorships of Vespenland, Vespenia, Vesparicia and Windemere.
Hmm wont all that just give arguements, when picking who gotta be in charge?

My own favorite is Ikus - Even though, he is from Trinsie.
But Gawd, the jewels we get from him are stunning!
I so far - resieved diamond earrings, diamond bracelet and two diamond necklaces. Yay! Lucky me!
I'm a little concered though - Is he gonna turn us all over to the Loyalists?

Baron Twothumb himself, is also running a campaign.
To be honest, I like things, they way they are - Well, I could do without the wars as they are bad for business. But I am sure the Baron have his reasons. Just wished others wouldn't punish the civvies from Vesper, because of it.

Ugh! Enough about politics!!!

Good news!
Abi stopped by Sunday, with some grand news.
Her and Conan are expecting theire first baby! I am so happy for them.
Furthermore, she asked me to be the Baby's Godmother. Aww, thats so sweet! Oh! It's gonna get so exciteing!
I just hope the baby aint crying, when I am holding it in the Church.
If the baby is crying, I fear - I'll burst into tears aswell.

And more good news!
Shar and Wayland are engaged and are planning theire wedding.
Bleh! Everyone is getting married or haveing Babies!
I guess, we can say, that Spring arrived to Vesper.

A bit of mixed news.

Lisa have stopped working at the Swaggers. I haven't heard it from herself, but from Jackal. Apparently there have been another episode, between Kiran and the Staff. Gawd dammit!
According to Jackal, Kiran should have slapped Lisa - And then she didn't wanna work at the Swaggers anymore. Jackal is going with her to Trinsie. Guess once a Loyalist - always a Loyalist.

I spoke with Kiran about it. And he explained that the Swaggers have had a visit from the Church in Cove. Apparently Lisa should have been cheeky to the great annoyance of the Templar - Bleh, I do wonder why, they come in the first place.. I thought the Churchies was staying away from the Swaggers - As drinking is a sin?
Oh well, I will end in the Abyss then - for lureing Lads to drink more. Atleast, I wont be alone - Bet Kiran and some of the others will be there too!

I am a little concered for both Lisa and Jackal.
Jackal is wanted by the Guards in Vesper - They claim he is a Traitor and that he had been giveing aid to the Trinsians and apparently wounded a Guard from Vesper.
Hmm, better tell Jackal to be careful. You never know, what the Guards will do to him, if they find him - So mebbe, its better he avoid Vesper for a while..

I found a replacement for Lisa. Her name is Angelica Wish. And She seems like a nice lass. I gave her the whole tour yesterday and ofcause there is alot to remember with the prices on the diffrent rooms, drinks, meals and such. But I am sure, she will be fine. Like I told her, she can just ask me or any of the Staff, if she got a question.

She apparently know Kiran - And Gerek.
When I told Gerek, that we got ourself a New Barmaid named Angelica Wish - He was in panic!
Apparently he thought, he had been in a relationship with her and cheated on her. Turns out, that he cheated on someone with her.

Right, more later...
Gotta pick up some crates with ale and stock up..

Friday - 18th. May

So it's the day after Olk's election party and I feel somewhat tired.
I believe some Vesperians, will have some nasty hangovers, but atleast there is a cure for that
- Deuce's life elixir. Yup, yup - That will cure it!

From what I heard, people consider the party a success, which is a relief.
I was a little stressed in the beginning, because it started out with rain.
God got a sick sense of humor - But apparently, he reconsidered, when I threathend to burn down every Church, I could find - if he didn't stop the rain.
Tadaaaa, that worked!!

I asked Dalla, if she would get the Packie and then start to pack the bottles in the bags, so it was ready.
The furnitures arrived and then it hit me.. We needed some decoration for the tables.
Ahh, Lyonya and a handful of Guards came to my rescue.
Instead of flowers - They went to get the mushrooms, Olk love so much.

Angie, our new - But hardworking barmaid helped painting and setting up the furnitures, while I went to get bedrolls and towels.
When I returned with it - I struggled with the colour of the towels.
I asked Olk, if he could help me and get the towels in the right Vesper-red.

Gnomy - That lil' Darling was running around and from what I could see, he was a little restless. So I asked, if he wanted to lend a hand.
This is what I love so much about Vesper - When there is a event, people can stand together and help eachother getting things ready.
Gnomy was laying mushrooms and placeing lanterns on the tables..
And then he helped with the bedrolls and towels, after I told him how I wanted things.

Gia arrived - Thank Gawd, before the Guests.
I asked her to go find the books, we had used for the "Twisted Swaggers".
So the whole thing was ready. We had the tables and chairs, decorations, bedrolls, towels and the drinks and torches leading people from the Swaggers down to the beach.

Then Sir Llandrell arrived and asked what we were doing.
Ahem! Another little error
- I forgot to ask Lord Desuri premession to use the beach for the party.
I was somewhat worried, when he lead me to the office. Thought he was gonna yell at me.
Bless him though, we got the premession and he saw nothing wrong with it aslong, as we didn't breake the Dragoni laws.

Outside again and then get changed into some bathing clothes.
There was hawt guys in shorts. And a topless Vesperian - Lyonya!
Oh speaking of her - Rumours are saying, that Rand boinked Ly on one of the bedrolls!

The guest arrived and so did more of the Staff.
Lyim - That git picked me up and litterly throw me into the sea! And all I did was sting some water at him with my fingertips!
Men overreact! Seriously just a few drops of water!

Then we began to play Twisted - The books were sold for 20 doubloons
and I believe, the guests had a great laugh. I know - I had.
I think, some of it was way too much for the Lads, I mean Van had to walk off and Gnomy had to run to the sea to cool down.

So late in the evening, the Guests started to head - or stagger home.
I had given my word to Llandrell, that the Dragonis wouldn't notice we had been there - apart from the footprints.
So when the last guest left, I began to tidy up after the party.

I returned to the Swaggers afterwards and picked up the shopping list Gerek had made for me earlier.
I enjoyed a goblet of wine, while I waited for dawn. Then I grabbed the Packhorse and went out to fetch supplies.
When I returned, I had everything on the list.
Gerek emptied the bags on the horse and I went home and collapsed on my bed..

Right, I need to check the papers so I can see how much Olk owes the Swaggers..Hope he won't get a heartattack, over the bill...

Thursday 14th. June

Bleh, some weeks it have been recently.

Since the explotion, that blow a wall of the Citadel in Stonekeep - the Yewians have been visiting Vesper the last few days.

Tuesday they arrived with more than a handful of Guards.
The Vesperians were a bit outnumbered, but I had faith in them - It takes more than a little outnumbering to get Vesperians.

The Yewians wanted to ask questions to both the Veeties and the Guardsmen of Vesper, but Draxie wasn't really in the mood for haveing a chit-chat with them and in the end, it did show.
I doubt, there will ever be peace between Vesper and Yew - Our believes and goals are so diffrent..

I didn't agree with the tactic Draxie had in up his sleeve.
Gawd did we pay for it yesterday - Yeeeeeeeeees Sir!

The Vesperians were going inside the Swaggers - Leaveing the Yewians outside and then they started to disguss how to deal with the Yewians.

I tried to protest, as I really felt, they were bringing the Staff and the Swaggers in danger, useing the Inn as theire battlefield - But the time was really, really bad... and Draxie was about to fight the Yewians and my guess is - he just thought I was beeing hysterric.

Well, In a way - Draxie's tactic worked. The Vesperian Militia didn't suffer any losses and the Yewians had to limp home without any answers to theire questions.

I had a bad feeling about it and I tried to explain my frustrations and my worries to Olk. Things just got very misunderstood and yesterday my fears became a reality.

We were at the Swaggers and chatting with the few Vesperians who were inside and then the Kaldorians who stopped by for a pint and a chat.
They are great, I like them.
Anyways - The Yewians arrived and a Yewian Footman came inside and ordered all Staff at the Swaggers outside, as the was a message for the Veeties.

They wanted to line us up outside, but a Yewian must have grabbed for Cala - Because all the sudden the Kaldorians was attacking!
I were like "What the feck?!" When Draxie ordered the Vesperians to step down and not take part. Thank Gawd Esca were there, he ignored Draxens orders and the Vesperian Guards started to chase the Yewians.
