Britannian forces Hold Back The Forces Of Evil, But For How Long?
Armed forces including the Guardsmen Militia, Britannia guards, People of the Duchy, Elves and many others have been fighting none stop in the last week to hold back the seemingly endless armies of darkness that have descended on Magincia. Enemy and friend alike seem to be working together to stem this horrid threat, but I wonder how long this relative peace will last!

Dear readers, as some of you may have noticed letters have been posted up around Britannia in the last week or so claiming that the drow goddess Lloth is behind the evil goings on in Magincia, could this be truth or do these drow just intend to fool us? The poster reads as follows

Civil Unrest In Yew?
Guardsmen Battle To Keep The Peace!
It would appear, dear readers, that a group of would be revolutionaries are attempting to bring down the powers that be in the Yew area. There have been a number of attacks on the local law enforcers and citizens of Yew town are reportedly very worried by the goings on. These rebels are known as the 'Free Yew paramilitary rebels’. These people should not be approached under any circumstances and are to be considered very dangerous individuals.

Magincia All But Lost?
Will The Once Great City Survive?
My dear readers, it is with a sad heart that I report to you this day that Magincia is almost completely destroyed! The bank stands in ruins, the old five aces club is all but lost, the old governors house, totally destroyed! Despite great efforts from the people of Britannia, Magincia seems all but lost. Just last eve I stood in Magincia behind the troop lines and could not believe my eye’s, the woodland area was overrun with daemons of many forms, the city, a mere battle ground! The Britannia forces would make a charge, then slowly be pushed back, the daemons would send in their biggest and most gruesome, whom would knock human, drow and elf alike more than 10 yards in a single swoop of their hands! I my self, almost fell foul of some form of beast, lucky for me the Duchy guards were on hand to help me! Will Magincia fall to the beasts? Will the Britannia forces repel this invasion? Will I get eaten by some foul daemon while attempting to gather more news on the ongoing battle for Magincia? Only time will tell dear readers, so keep reading!



Orcs No Match For Brave Guardsmen
Yew’s Guardsmen To The Rescue!
Reports have been arriving this morning for me from the Yew area good people of Britannia. It would seem those brave northern guardsmen yet again show why they will not be letting rebels bother them, for they are used to fighting the likes of even the fierce orcs without a second thought! Last eve a patrol of Yew’s guardsmen lead by Footman Eldric Samson, marched on an orcish hideout located deep in a dark, spooky cave in order, I hear, to clear the area of orcs. But upon reaching the bowls of the cave they found no less than a noble from Trinsic, whom off course was more than happy to see his rescuers! The noble reportedly was later to say “May the avatar bless those good northern guardsmen!”.

Crime rate has increased up and down the highways of Britannia. It seems those pesky brigands of the fort are still up to no good! Though they were defeated recently during a skirmish in trinsic with the Britannia Guards!

Where Are They Now?
In today’s where are they now, we look back at the exploits of one Sally Buttons and ask, where is she now?

Many a time the poor dear could be seen blabbering and screaming about one thing or another, some mean person had made her cry or she had got a stain in her apron, oh my!, the horror! She could always bee seen running her stall at markets around Trinsic and many a time you could see her handy work worn by the best dressed people of Britannia. Vesper Assault Militia Tavern!
Militia Training Turns Into Pub Brawl!
I’ve been receiving reports from the north that an alliance of Yewish rebels and Vesperians attempted to assault the Militia ale house in Stonekeep last evening but were soon “shown the door”. Apparently a small group of Yewish militia were already warmed up and ready for combat when the Vesperians and rebels turned up and assaulted a couple of militia trainee’s outside the local tavern. A battle ensued and the militia took the day, and some prisoners to boot!

Dear Poste,

There do seem to be a number of pickpockets active at the moment. My gold disappears at an alarming rate. The good news is that it’s all small sums of up to 500 gold a time, mostly - but not always - from the yellow bag that hangs at my belt, as anyone can see if they just look at me.

Only one thief has ever stolen something from my yellow bag that I treasure - a private diary - and even though I put a notice in Ye Poste offering 1,000 gold for its return, there was no response (not even to haggle the price up!) and I never got it back. You can read this appeal in 17 March 2007 issue of Ye Poste.

In case the pickpocket (whose name I have since been given) reads this (or indeed anyone who has found it or come into its possession), the offer still stands but now raised to 2,000 gold, given to anyone who shows me the diary privately to prove they have it. I can be found most Mondays and Fridays from 7 to 8 pm at The Trinsic Rose and Wednesdays at The Trinsic Rose Free Repairs Hour.

I guess I should be thankful that my experience shows that all pickpockets are small-time thieves with not much ambition...

Magincia Still Not Safe, Mages Warn
Magincia Reaches Stalemate
The battle for Magincia seems to have reached a stalemate. Most of the city is shattered, and looting has been regrettably prevalent, but the stalwart defenders of the city continue to push back the invading hordes. However, all is not well, say the leading researchers of the Mage Council. "The moongates have been warped into a form they were never intended to hold. The etheric disturbance is tremendous, and we fear that it will get worse before it gets better," warns the Mage Council's spokesman. The Royal Guard has ordered all nonessential personnel off of the island, and is maintaining a minimal force to secure the city. "Daemons - even big daemons - my men can handle," says Sir Brendan of the Royal Guard, officer in charge of Magincia's defences. "But once the mages start talking 'unstable planar rift' this and 'etheric resonance crisis' that, I get my people out of the area before they get blown clear off the map."

Healers Abandon Magincia
Brave Protectors of Magincia Left To Die In The Streets!
Seems to me the healers have abandoned Magincia, as I made a visit to the city last eve and found wounded people simply lying around unattended in the streets! I managed to catch up with a healer who had been serving in Magincia, one William Lalley of Haven. He had travelled to Magincia at the start of the invasion but said he had left for fear of his own life. The invasion force of daemons had apparently gotten so close to the docks that it became a matter of personnel survival and the healers simply had to leave, according to this fellow. One wonders if the daemonic invasion will stop with Magincia, if not then who is next!?!

Word on the street in Trinsic is that Vesperians have been heading to Magincia not to help defend the falling city, but to loot barrels of ale! As if they don’t have enough in Vesper already!

I met a man who called him self "The Grey Wizard" today and he asked me to pass on a messege to the Deuk of Trinsic. He said "The Gargoyles have the truth, i sence it. They and the spider queen work together. Seek the gargoyles duke!"

Loving Pair Tie The Knot!
A few night’s ago Yew town and the surrounding area rung to the sound of wedding bells with the joining of Radek Wilkes and Cordelia Cade. In a ceremony that had obviously had much effort and preparation put into it, the pair made their vows and exchanged rings in what can only be described as a touching show of love. We at the poste would like to wish you many happy years together!

Trinsic Make A Clear Statement To Brigands!
In the last few days it seems Trinsic has played host to what can only be called a mini crime wave focused on the guard force! Not only was a guard jumped upon by two hooded brigands in a vicious attack, but last eve the same guard was again the target for a would be attacker. But this time the tables were turned and the lone attacker found himself swiftly arrested and locked in the stocks while citizens threw old cabbages at him! Will this group of brigands learn their lesson and stay away from the city? Do the guards enjoy locking people in the stocks? Will they ever get the stink of old cabbage of the wall outside the jail? Only time will tell!

Many a fine ale flowed at the swaggers inn a few nights ago after the “successful ” execution of an Avatarian monk! Apparently the guardsmen militia attempted to free to poor monk but were too late to make any difference to the mans abruptly ended life! A short skirmish followed and the militia were forced to make a tactical retreat. Will the blood shed ever cease dear readers, will it!?

Drow Leader Jailed For Murder!
Or Is She?
The drow leader known as Vierna was jailed for murder just a few night’s ago in Trinsic after turning up in the city with the body of her victim! Yes, can you believe it? She turned up with the body of a duchy guard known as Brynhild, in the duchy lands! Talk about caught red handed! Off course the guards didn’t give her a chance to speak and promptly threw her in jail while the body was taken to the local healers for further investigation. But, in a strange turn of events, by the next morning the body had vanished from sight and was no where to be found! Now from what I can gather, the guards seem to think they had wrongly assumed the motionless body of Brynhild was dead, and in fact, she is alive and well some place as yet unknown. After all this the guards released Vierna due to a lack of evidence! A very odd tale indeed might I say!

Yet Another Blessing From The Guardsmen Militia Has Come Forth!
The People Of Yew Rejoice!
I’ve been hearing reports that go completely against the words these leaflets that have been handed out around Britannia would have you believe! It seems that during this last Yuletide militia soldiers were seen taking it upon them selves to see that no Yewish person, man, woman or child, went without warmth and a full belly! Apparently one or two militia troops were seen in the dead of night carrying around boxes of collected goodies such as wood for fires, fresh meat and vegetables, these guardsmen then proceeded to knock on every door in Yew and hand out these goods! Our witness to these events stated “How good it was to watch those guardsmen at work, they truly are good folk!” We would like to hear what the leader of the Yewish revolt has to say about this very public show of goodness by the militia!

Trouble In Trinsic!
Crowd Gathers To Sling Rotten Apples!
Last evening while I was taking a stroll through Trinsic I happened upon a crowd gathered at the main gates. They appeared to be standing around a couple of brutish looking men who were tied to the stocks! Apparently there had been a few attempted muggings in the early hours of the evening. It seems these bandits were trying to take advantage of the extremely busy streets and taverns of Trinsic that have been a wash with activity in the last few days. One of them even tried to mug Lord Ikus! Though it would seem they failed in their endeavour and ended up being pelted with rotten apples instead!



Militia Guardsmen Chase Off Attackers
Yew Once Again Safe, But For How Long?
Yew’s troubles are never ending it would seem! I’ve been sent word that a troublemaker yesterday attempted to talk his way out of paying his taxes by posing as a “night of the realm”, claiming he was on some sort of important mission to Yew town. Lucky for us citizens, the Yewish Militia were having none of this and after a militia officer by the name of Gotrek had questioned the man for a short time, his arrest was ordered and a skirmish followed. I think we can safely say the king’s land to the north is well protected!

They say on the grape vine that Captain Dart is having women problems at the moment. Perhaps in the near future he will live to regret being such a ladies man!

Word on the street is that someone’s out to get a few well known members of the duchy guard force. We can only hope these rumours remain just that, rumours!

It have come to our attention that William Twothumb is finally fed up with beeing single.

Strong Military Presence As Militia Try Eradicate Southern Yew’s Unwanted Inhabitants!
Lord Protector Klion D’Gar has issued a declaration that states the Militia will soon be rid of its rivals, the rebels of Yew. In an effort to clean up the south side of Yew, a known hideout for the likes of rebels, a strong military presence will be actively patrolling the area south of Stonekeep! Trinsic Guard Force Under Attack!
Criminals Target Duchy Guards!
The Duchy Of Trinsics finest, the Duchy guard force have been the target of a vicious onslaught of beatings, kidnappings and foul play of late. It would seem that not only was there a kidnapping made on Guardswoman Hildy, an attempted kidnapping made on Captain Kaelyn, and an attempt made on the life of Mordred, ex Kaldorian turned Duchy guardsman, but Captain kaelyns family have also been targeted. Sadly two members’ of Kaelyns family were murdered in Minoc just last night! Let’s hope the vindictive thugs behind all this soon come to trial and then the noose!

Militia Patrol Turns Nasty!
Brave Guardsmen Defeated In Ilshenar
I’ve been hearing reports that a recent Militia patrol to the lands of Ilshenar ended badly for the Yewish guardsmen. Gathering in Stonekeep a small band decided to make their way to the Ilshenar lands, through the Spirituality moongate. But on arriving at their destination they found they had bitten of more than they could chew. I hear they found them selves facing some of the truly foulest beasts of those troubled lands! But after a well executed retreat, a few scratches and bruises, and maybe a bump on the head, or two, the guardsmen picked them selves up and managed to make their way home, back to the safety of Britannia!

It appears that the well known Lady Jade of Tremere has literally been branded a criminal by the duchy! She was arrested under suspicion of dealings with a criminal gang, tied to the stocks and branded with a “B” for brigand! One wonders if this will only escalate the already hostile under current in the Trinsic area.

Duchy Raid The Rusty Dagger!
A few days ago guardswoman Hildy of the Duchy guard was apparently kidnapped by a gang of brigands! Not only did they rough her up and force her to work behind a bar as a tavern wench, they also forced her to knife fight with Kaldorian Corwin, after he was also captured during an failed rescue attempt! Luckily for guardswoman Hildy and Kaldorian Corwin, the brigands showed some element of mercy when they dumped the wounded pair in the local woods, later that day.

Yew Enjoys Peaceful Day
Rebels Quiet, But For How Long?
Yesterday Yew enjoyed a peaceful market day hosted by the guardsmen militia. Though the day started off relatively quiet, it soon picked up! The boxing competition drew many spectators and apparently a Mr.Walker won the days bare knuckle fights snapping up a fine check of 10’000 crowns! One wonders how long the smiles and laughter will last in the northern city and it surrounding lands.

I’ve heard that a certain Carn Helmingas is now incapable of harming any living being; apparently a spell has been cast to prevent him from doing such things! Better watch your back hey Carn, many out there I’m sure owe you one dear!

A new order of knights seems to have appeared around the Trinsic area. One I personally spotted walking the streets not two evenings back! True knights of compassion or those that cleanse through fire? One wonders.

Govenor Claims Victory In The Vesperian Election!
- Candidate E. Heath storms of furious!
Sunday evening the two Candidates - Elliot Heath and Deacon Van Cocidius were found sitting at seperate tables enjoying
a drink, while Vesper's Citizens went inside the Town Hall to set theire mark on the Candidate they believed would lead
Vesper best. There were however, no sign - what so ever of the third Candidate, Amarante from the Swaggers Inn.



The peace were disturbed, as Civillians reported a Theif lurking around and naturally the Guards of Vesper
searched the place and around in the nearby forest. Unfortunally, the Guards didn't have any luck finding the Theif and once again
a Theif left without beeing brought to justice.
