Guardsmen Narrowly Escape Poisoning!
Free Ale Found To Be Not So Great!
Last evening the Yewish guardsmen were enjoying drinking a rather dodgy load of “free ale” they found in their tavern. Apparently this free ale was snapped up by the eager guardsmen but soon after they found them selves feeling sickly. Thankfully two higher ranked guards noticed something wasn’t right with this “free ale” and stopped the free for all as quickly as they could. It was later found that the Yewish rebels were behind the entire thing! One wonders what tactics these rebels will use next!

Rumours

Sources from Cove claim a courier from one of its colonies arrived a few days ago bearing the following message from its absent Baron...

Rumour has it that Van has the hots for a Trinsic woman named Maddy. He was apparently kneeling down and offering her a ring! One wonders where he got that from!

I’ve been hearing worrying reports that Captain Kaelyn is using rather underhanded tactics on prisoners these days. Better watch out all you criminals who consider entering Trinsic!

Jern Fretting, tinker and fully qualified blacksmith with arms lore, will be travelling the highways and byways of Sosaria, at odd hours during most days but never after 8pm. He will be available for making items free, if provided with the necessary raw materials and equipment. He will also provide basic free farrier services (horses only, both mounts and sumpters): simple sprains, sores, removal of stones and the like. Shoeings can also be done where there is a forge and anvil.

In addition to chance meetings on the road, appointments may be made either by notes left in the mailbox outside The Trinsic Rose Tavern or at the garden gate of Fretting Cottage in the Village of Silverleaf (postcode Slf) or by mail-carrier to 322791984.

No escape!
Traitor brought to swift Justice during escape attempt! (Source – A Notice in Yew)

Born to a Traitor and a Drow, was there any doubt Te’ani Lanoor would be a child of evil? Her Father Dominick Lanoor turned his heel on the Militia, the King and his Oath and his daughter has done the same.

Te’ani Lanoor, entertainer of many, lover to all, was found Guilty of High-Treason at the beginning of this week, a Yewish Guardsman has explained to me “it was revealed she was having “relations” with the leader of the Rebellion” – no surprise there!
One spectator of the trial even commented that “there seemed to be a red aura of evil surrounding the wench”.

(An artists interpretation of her trial lays below - )

Public Notice:
Yesterday evening, guardsmen were forced to exact impromptu justice upon traitor Te’ani Lanoor during a botched escape attempt ‘masterminded’ by the rebellion.

Sunday evening saw Te’ani Lanoor found guilty of High Treason and returned to her cell to await sentencing. However, as if to demonstrate her allegiances once again, Lanoor was spotted heading northwards from Stonekeep last night accompanied by rebels after having slipped undetected (or so they believed) from the cells.

A cleverly orchestrated diversion had been implemented earlier in the evening, luring the substantial guard contingent west to the Empath Abbey, during the confusion the rebels easily removed Lanoor from her confinement.

However, thanks to the vigilance (and sacrifices) of some guardsmen this traitor was finally brought to answer for her numerous crimes against Yew, albeit in an unconventional manner.

Let us not mourn the passing of a once promising guardsman but celebrate the death of a traitor.

----------------------------------------------

Rumours

A group of Covians led by their Captain were spotted heading into the Jail where it is believed they met with Duke Irvyn, question is what exactly did they have to discuss?
Irvyn is hardly known for his loyalties to the King, but private meetings with Covians? I think that says it all.

Love is in the Air for the new Baron of Vesper – he was spotted arm in arm with the beautiful Madeline.

Captain Kaelyn seems a little “off-colour” recently. Not a bad thing I say, let us hope the lovey-dovey soft touch Captain is gone for good and this new no nonsense tough mouth is here to stay!

Artemis is high deserving of a slap as it is rumoured he will be breaking off his relationship with his current lovely because she’s a little “too rounded” in order to hook up with a thin (if you ask me unhealthily so) typical wench. As a larger lady myself I find this ridiculous and this shallow self serving man should be avoided by all!

The “Black Bandit” has been caught and brought to swift justice, though one has to ask how long it will be until the next masked nobody runs riot in an attempt to become someone.

Hearty Time Had By All!
Trinsic Plays Host To Joint Market
A few night ago trinsic played host to a market with a difference! It would seem the market was jointly run by citizens from both Cove and Trinsic, in what can only be an effort to keep the peace between the loyalist city and the northern city state. Even the baron of Vesper made a show and apparently told a few tales to boot!

Baron D’Gar Oversee’s Troops Fitness!
Guardsmen Not Allowed To Slack
Baron D’Gar has reportedly been overseeing the fitness and ability of the Militia troops this past week. One witness said “he knows how to push them and get the best from his soldiers”. Reportedly during a training session which took place a few evenings back, Baron D’Gar jumped into the battle training and showed the troops how it’s done!

----------------------------------------------

Rumours

Posters apparently spread around by the Yewish rebels have been found around the lands. They read –

Hear ye, hear ye, free peoples of the North! Our brothers in the township of Yew have, for some weeks, fought for The People against a tyrannical regime! They have rocked, quite literally, the foundations of Stonekeep with their bravery and now the arm of revolution must reach East to embrace all the brethren of the North.

Too long have our Southern neighbours dominated the realm with the power of their wealth. Too far has the loyalist influence crept from the throne to our blighted lands. Too often have the lords of Yew, Vesper and Cove forced our swords against each other's shields while the ignoble warts of Trinsic and Britain fester 'peacefully' in their vanity!

Too corrupt have the Barons of Vesper become in their quest for riches and gold that they would annex their Minocian cousins. Too drunk on the power in his arm has the 'Protector' of Yew grown that he would turn it on his own people. Too seduced has the Baron of Cove become by the King and his Trinsician lapdogs that he sells out his rebel cause for courtly status.

The true men and women of the North are steadfast. We are stout, we are brave, we are honest and we must not be moved! The People's Front suggests Northland, a united North to stand against the crown that would enslave us! For this nation we will fight, for freedom in Yew, Minoc, Vesper and Cove we shall battle!
The 'NPF' stand to:
• Overthrow the self-proclaimed 'nobles' of Cove and Yew.
• Bring elected leaders to the towns of the North.
• Free Minoc from Vesperian rule.
• Remove the 'Magistrates' from our fair Church.
• Establish a Northland Council for all our leaders.
• Defend 'Northland' from the loyalist threat!

Raise the banner of freedom, raise the banner of hope, raise the banner of Northland. Support the Front!

What’s on?

Friday 29th February from 9pm [GMT] The tavern can be found just south of the Bucs portal!

The Trinsic Rose Tavern

You enter the tavern and look around.
Behind the bar someone looks up at you and smiles.
This person gestures to you to sit down
and asks you if you want something to drink.

You name your drink and look around.

In the corner a robed man sits with his glass of whine,
on a soft note he speaks with a beautiful lady,
that could easily be a noble princess.
To your left a young couple in love is staring at each other
and to your right you can see elves talking in their own language,
laughing and enjoying themselves.
Surprised you look around some more
and notice an orc and human young woman chatting
about the size of their most prized gem....

It be a wondrous place where everybody is welcome ...
it is the Trinsic Rose Tavern !

The Battle For Moonglow Begins
Loyalists Battle To Save City!
Ever defenders of the lands that they are, the Guardsmen militia and Duchy of Trinsic have been seen fighting beasts in and around the fabled city of Moonglow. Apparently in an effort to hold back the vast amounts of foul beasts which now inhabit the area, these high risk patrols have delved deep inside the once peaceful city. I call on all who can wield a weapon to head to Moonglow and help those brave soldiers in the battle for Moonglow!

Rumours

Rabid wolves have been seen in the woods surrounding the city of Trinsic. Keep you’re eyes open when wandering alone people.

Kai of the duchy apparently got him self stuck in the form of a cat when toying with magic recently, lucky for him his friend’s tracked down some old wizards who could help transform him back. Better to leave the magic to the wizards next time Mr.Kai.

Cove And Trinsic Co-Market A Success
Grand Time Had By All
Last night Cove played host to the Cove and Trinsic co-op market. With a large turn out, varied stalls and a raffle it was easy to see those that attended had a grand old time. The visitors to the days events included Duke Irvyn of Trinsic, Iago of Cove, the barons cousin and Baron Van and Escaflowne of Vesper. Apparently Hoagie of Cove won the raffle at the end of the evening, his winnings, a basket of fine fruits and foods from across Sosaria, lucky chap he is!

A sketch of the joint market!

----------------------------------------------

Rumours

I’ve heard a rumour that the elven healer Ruadnit Troi has not been seen for some time. Apparently her presence around Trinsic has noticeably diminished and rumours have hit the winds that she is not very well. Updates to come!

Baron Van was seen cavorting last night at the Cove market with a as of yet unidentified woman, but reports say it definitely was not his wife. One wonders what the good people of Vespers money gets spent on these days! Fine wines for Vans many lady friends perhaps? One wonders, One truly does. Why not write in and give us your views on this situation good people of Britannia!

Captain Darts Imaginative Military Manoeuvres!
But Guardsmen Seem Less Than Enthusiastic!
Stonekeep last night played witness to a new kind of military tactical training, the dragon game! Apparently the aim of the game was to collect as much meat from the board area as possible while avoiding a make believe stuffed toy dragon! I don’t doubt that most of the guardsmen present spent more time chasing the female guards around the board! However, after the “death” of one guardsman a Mr.Fraser won the evening’s fun and frolics when he managed to collect five pieces of meat. Will this style of training catch on or is Captain Dart simply banging his head pointlessly against a brick wall? More to come on this dear readers!

Feluccia Caravan Carnage
Murderers Galore But No Match For Manly Militia!

Apparently the Guardsmen Militia have been at it again, defending the lands I mean! I hear they marched on Feluccia a few weeks back and aided a very risky caravan that had to brave the trials of the Feluccia facet! As you can see from the sketch below many a murderer leapt on the caravan from the wilds but were beaten back time and time again but the ever diligent Militia!

Vesper Make Peace With The Drow!
Historic Agreement Reached

I met Vierna Hun’ett, the leader of the Drow, at a secret location. I don’t mind saying that I felt a little apprehensive knowing the reputation of her kind. But it’s this intrepid reporter’s job to go into danger in search for the truth, so with fast beating heart off I went.

When I arrived at the location, which I was requested not to reveal, she was there waiting to greet me. I had never seen her before and was slightly taken aback at her clearly exotic beauty. She was dressed all in black with a hint of red here and there, blood red I should stress. She looked stunning no doubt about that but her eyes, they shone a deep violet colour but they looked ice cold and emotionless. There was no warmth or love in her and I began to feel a little uncomfortable. She appeared to be alone but I had this gut feeling I was being watched.

With no great show of welcome just the salutation “Vendui’”, she handed me a copy of a document. It was a simple, short, document declaring that Vesper was sorry for its crimes against her people. From now on Vesper would welcome drow. I asked her how this came about and this is what she told me.

“Van Cocidius, the Baron of Vesper contacted me expressing a wish to put matters right between my people and Vesper. So I invited him here to discuss matters. The document, which I showed you, he had drawn up in anticipation of our reaching an agreement. The Baron was extremely apologetic and felt it was time to put matters right. He felt as Baron it was his responsibility and that any reparations should be his to shoulder. As leader of Vesper he would accept willingly any punishment on behalf of his people. He said the crimes against drow were reprehensible and inexcusable and blamed the bigotry and ignorance of previous barons for allowing matters to get out of hand. He also hinted that Yew had influenced their stance. He was different he said and would not tolerate racial discrimination.

I must admit I was somewhat taken aback by his frank and honest admission and actually admired his courage. That is extremely rare in a male. So I accepted his admission in good grace and co-signed the document. Afterwards he left happy and in good spirits”

Well. Quite a turn-around from Vesper, if, that is, this is all true! Considering i've heard rumours that the Baron was in fact kindapped i do have my doubts! Let's hope relations between the two peoples grow stronger and make this world a better place. As I left she said to me that if I saw the Baron to tell him to take very good care of his wife and unborn child. Later when I got home I suddenly realised there was something chilling in the way she said that. It sent an icy shiver down this reporter’s spine I can tell you!

----------------------------------------------

Rumours

Word on the street is the the Von Richter’s are back in Cove! Does this mean the return of the Baron? More to come!

Watch those money pouches folks; I hear the Brigands are up to their old ways again. Don’t wander the street late at night for heavens sake!

Seems someone’s been leaving nasty notes around the elven quarter again. Better put a stop to it whoever you are lest you get found out! Tut, tut!

Orcs have been attacking Trinsic so I hear, nasty things they are! Apparently they have some necromancers helping them too.! One wonders if this shadow being caste over Britannia in recent weeks will ever be lifted!

----------------------------------------------

Letters

To whom it may concern

I wish to dispel the rumours regarding my husband, Baron Van Cocidius. Despite his previous disposition and reputation, he has remained faithful to me and me alone.
I do not deny him platonic friendships with either men or women. He was in the company of Amarante of Buccs Den, the companion of his best friend Jackyl. I assure you, the Baron has not had time to carry out nefarious liaisons, and, should he ever stray, I am perfectly capable of dealing with this issue without the aid of gossip mongering.

We are expecting our first child and the stress of these rumours is not healthy for either mother or fetus.
Sincerely,
Baroness Madeline Warmbow-Van Cocidius

From the editor: There, there dear, denial is such a terrible thing. Men are such dogs aren’t they. Just remember there’s always a shoulder for you to cry on here at the poste!

Wild Rabble Raid Ragged Royalists
And Try Saying That After A Few Ales!
Reports have reached me this past week that a wild group of brigands lead by that old nasty outcast Henry Winter, attempted to raid a Britannia Guards and Skarian caravan on its way to Britain. After leaping from the tree line yelling threats at the guardsmen, the brigands apparently drew their swords and charged on in. Off course Baron Edmunds righteous royalists won the day, but only after defeating a second group of brigands that had been waiting a little further down the road. Is this the beginning of another crime wave? Will Baron Edmund hunt down these butchering bandits? More to come!

Vesper And Yew Face Off
On A Desert Island?!?
It appears dear readers, that the Yewish Militia and the people of Vesper cannot keep their contempt for each other aside even when stranded on a desert island together! In that sort of situation you would think they might work together, but no! Let me tell you more of what I have heard! Apparently a band of soldiers accompanied by Baron Van “The Lady’s Man” Cocidius set of from Vesper in search of an evil drow egg smuggling ring!

But as bad luck and perhaps, dare I say, bad sailing had cursed them on that very day, they were not to reach their original destination. Instead they crashed onto the rocky edge off a deserted, desolate, dangerous island. Oh how disorientating it must have been, I know that last line was! Apparently as they tried to find their way off this desert island they happened upon another band of lost soldiers! Unluckily for both parties, these two bands of brothers in arms were in fact enemies! The Yewish Militia had somehow also managed to find them selves stranded on the island. Now not only did Vesper have to deal with being stranded, lost and disorientated from a shipwreck, they now had to somehow outwit the larger Yewish force and make their escape! Alas things just never go that easily, do they dear readers? Baron Van “The Lady’s Man” Cocidius managed to get himself captured by the Yewish Militia, whom I assume were going to burn him or put him through some other horrible demise. Well anyway, after a sneaky rescue by Militia Comrade Damien Bedford, Baron Van “The Ladys Man” Cocidius was once again free to roam the lands in search of more innocent young lady’s! Watch out girls!

I also hear that Vesper made their own revenge attempt on the Militia by marching to battle with a band of gorillas, off course that didn’t go to well at which point Vesper decided to build a raft and at the very least, get off the island. Off course that didn’t go well either, unlucky lot aint they! The Militia showed up and nicked their raft, after poor old Van had spent hours building it too, only to send it off to bring in more Yewish Militia reinforcements! Anyway, I hear the Yewish lot only managed to capture Militia Comrade Damien Bedford while Baron Van “The Lady’s Man” Cocidius and the rest of the troops found their ay home with the help of Captain Escaflowne. What a day hey dear readers!

Cove finally free!
Vesper step up their campaign and free Cove!

Earlier this week, Vesperians were spotted showing Covians just what they thought of their double standards. Supposedly ‘free’ Covians have been teaming up with Trinsic and all other Royalist forces (anyone notice how friendly they were with Yew a few weeks back?) and finally someone has put them in their place.

After ruining the Covian barracks, they set upon some of the Covian guards and made their stand. About time I say! Finally, in a great act of freedom, the Vesperians declared Cove as South Vesper and showed the Covians the way out!

(An artists interpretation of events are shown below - )

Yew is balding!
If the trees fall, will the swamp rise?

The Yewish Militia are being frowned upon for their constant chopping and hacking into the lush forests of Yew. Some local citizens of Yew are saying that the militia are happily going to hack away at the forests until there is nothing left! Many fear that Yew will return to its former swampy days! Many citizens remember the days when the terrifying swamp beasts used to attack their buildings and sometimes murder their friends, the citizens’ claim that they would rather see the tyrant Lord D'Gar strung up, than the swamps of Yew return! However the tyranny under D'Gar is another matter entirely. Should we really stand by and watch a thing of such beauty torn asunder under our very noses?

Reliability in unreliable times
Britannia Guards still saving the world, even when others are breaking it.

It would seem that whilst the rest of the world bickers and battles away, the Britannia Guards are quietly working for a better tomorrow. With their patrols having been spotted defending Nujel'm and Feluccan caravans, it is reassuring to see that no matter what might take place our faithful Britannia Guards can always be relied upon to be quietly protecting the innocent away from the public eye. They're not in it for the fame or fortune readers, they're in it because it's what they signed up to do.

Odd structure found in Trinsic
Can it get any stranger than some of the citizens houses around it?

Seems so..

Covian Caravan Recovered!
Orcs found to be not so tough!
[Report by Raiden Morana]

Led by:

Raiden, Grenadier Captain.

Attended by:

Hoagie, Sergeant.
Marcus Tel'var, Junior Guardsman.
Justice Forum, Watchman.
Takeamada, Watchman.
Alex Vericious, Guardsman Recruit.
Crest Turelli, Guardsman Recruit.
Noxarion, Guardsman Recruit.

Dawn, Duchy Captain.
Goober, Duchy Squire.
Alusair, Duchy Guardswoman

The guardsmen that returned from the cleansing of Humility in Ilshenar replenished their supplies and replaced their armour then lined up in front of the barracks along with a detatchment of Duchy forces. They were to transport a consignment of "Covian Spa", fresh Covian spring water by caravan to aid the Duchy during it's drinking water crisis.

However it transpired that the Covian peasants who had been bottling the spring water had been slaughtered by orcs and the kegs and bottle filled crates of "Covian Spa" had been looted and taken to the orc fort.

Nothing is ever straight forward observed one of the Duchy guardsmen and so the allied forces of Cove and Trinsic headed to the orc fort. They battled their way inside the fort searching from room to room for the precious stolen spring water. At last the cargo was located at the orc docks and carrying it as best they could the brave group battled their way back out of the fort leaving a swathe of dead and dying greenskins behind them as they made for Cove town.

With the guardsmen regrouped and a pack mule purchased the party at last headed through the shire enroute to the Minoc portal from where they would reach Trinsic. The caravan and escort kept their wits about them at all times, but apart from a few roaming ogres and undead there was no threat and the goods were delivered safely to the Duchy authorities.

Duke Irvyn had kindly arranged for refreshments to be served by the staff of the Trinsic Rose tavern to the road weary Covian and Duchy guardsmen upon their arrival. Meanwhile Grenadier Captain Raiden Morana and Isidore, the Duke's son, oversaw the handing over and safe storage of the "Covian Spa" spring water, before heading to the bar for refreshments.

Thus concluding another favourable endeavour between the city states of Cove and Trinsic, a most unlikely yet formidable alliance.

Citizens Beware !
Strange zombie like creatures covered in fungal growths have been attacking citizens and animals in and around Trinsic.

Although we don't know for certain what has caused these new forms of zombie to appear, it is suspected to be connected to the recent deadly growths around Trinsic.
One popular theory suggests that they were livng humans who came into contact with some form of fungi which then infected their minds and began to take over their bodies.
No one has yet discovered the source of these 'Fungi Zombies' although recent sightings suggest they come from somewhere in the North East of the Trinsic area.

Although the Fungi Zombies do seem to be quite weak if you do happen to spot one please alert the town guards so they can kill and dispose of the corpse.

Rumours

Britannia Guardsmen have relocated their headquarters to just outside Britain, on the doorstep of Altmere, the Covian province. With Vespers new reign over Cove (sorry South Vesper) what will it be known as? Will they have to relocate once more?

Covian Captain's marriage to the beautiful Flina Trix fell through recently, and this reporter has discovered the real reason. Flina told us “he was not 'up' for the task!” We wish her luck in finding someone able to satisfy her.

Around Yew, it’s been heard that yet another love triangle has formed, Timothy Young and Kevin Longshot seem to be at odds for the affection of a Footman, Kyra Hacke. Speaking of Kevin Longshot and love triangles, until recently he was engaged to Miss Holly Swayne, yet shortly after the arrival of Hacke she disappeared only to return recently battered and bruised. Did Kyra do away with her to get her claws into Kevin? We’ll keep you informed as this unravels!

Unlucky in love, Trinsic rose 'sweetheart' Gwen is rumoured to have taken a vow of celibacy after being abandoned by her recent lover, Mordred of Kaldor.

An interview with…

Due to the high volume of activity from Vesper we’ve decided to scrap this month’s interview with controversial drwo and instead bring you:
An interview with Captain Escaflowne!

Gretcha: Getting straight to the point, why have Vesper have taken over Cove?
Escaflowne: Well it was agreed with Cove that we needed to unite if we were to finally defeat the barbaric Yewians and since Cove were floundering we invited them to join the Republic. Knowing what was good for them they accepted. Now we have the resources of South Vesper to use in the fight against D’Gar and their citizens will finally have a trained military to protect them.
Gretcha: What is your next move, any future plans?
Escaflowne: Obviously pushing Yew out of West Vesper is our most immediate plan but we’ll be holding talks with Trinsic soon too and offering them an opportunity to join us and the Republic’s fight against Yewish tyranny.
Gretcha: Baronial elections, who do you think will win?
Escaflowne: Well Heath’s the only man in the running isn’t he? So he’s bound to win.
Gretcha: Is Heath the right man for the job do you think?
Escaflowne: It depends really, if he ditches that slapper he’s engaged to he might be a success but we all know Heath will never have the balls to put his career before that tart.
Gretcha: So speaking of women, is there anyone special in your life at the moment?
Escaflowne: Not really, my heart is still with Ria’hnon
Gretcha: Thank you for your time
Escaflowne: Cheers

New inhabitants from the new lands?
New inhabitants from the new lands?

Last Friday evening, two strange creatures were spotted at Trinsic's foremost tavern, the Rose. The creatures, with their purple skin, and tentacles protruding from their faces, made little upstanding. The night's taverncrawlers, represented by both Covians, pixies, Briannian guards, former Vesperian barons and local elves and citizens, took little note of the creatures, who were seemingly friendly and speaking the common tounge well.

Much thanks to Trinsic's including and multi-racial politics in the Britannian society, no beings, whatever creed or race, should feel left out.

(Rough skwibble)

Oomie, Smash!
Orc activity in Trinsic?!

Last Wednesday, an Orc wrecked the bakery in Trinsic, scaring the poor employee of Stewan Seagull, newbie baker Colin. When questioned on the attack, Colin didn't reply.. He just tried to flog me some food! Poor chap must still be in shock.

The following Friday, the very same Orc supposedly tried to enter the town through the southern gate, but was turned away by the Paladins posted there by the Duchy.

There's also another strange Orc that dwells around Trinsic, going by the name Grukthar. Unlike the average Orc, this one shares tales of wanting to be a guard of the Duchy, but after being refused by the Duke he now rambles about becoming human, and a Paladin! He also tells people of his love for a fourteen year old Orphan called Jane, who's supposedly carrying his baby - The Horror!

Is this Orc the same as others? Or maybe he's related to the recent goings on of the so called "Wood spirits".

Preach It!
The Church Fights Back!

A female, dressed in black robes and a skullcap hath been a thorn in the Church's side since her arrival in Cove, preventing the rightful work of our Lord, Higher Being.

The female is known to be called 'Sonja', and below is a sketch of the individual in question.

WANTED: "Sonja"

I, Father Siegfried, Templar Seneschal of the Church of Cove, declare this woman to be a wanted criminal. All honest citizens and guardsmen of Cove art hereby ordered 'pon her sighting, to place her under arrest and shackle her in a cell, where she shalt remain, for days if need be, until a member of the Clergy is informed of her capture either on the bottom of this warrant, or through another means.

This female is guilty of insubordination, open disrespect to the Church, suspicion of heresy, and suspicion of conspiracy to commit vandalism, arson, and murder.

Any individuals known to be assisting the criminal must be reported hither immediately, so that they shalt also face punishment on grounds of conspiracy to pervert the cause of Justice, and aiding and abetting a known, and wanted criminal.

Shouldst this female present herself before this Saturday, drop down on her knees and beg Avatar for his forgiveness, the above charges may be wavered; though any future outbursts WILL result in a full trial before The Magistrate.

† Signed †

Father Siegfried,
Templar Seneschal

The Six
Well.. Five..

The so called "Six" are a growing threat, but only five of this so called six have been sighted. We do not know of their origin or their purpose, but they must be taken down before they cause any real problem! Their locations are: Depise Dungeon, Destard Dungeon, Fan Dancer Dojo, Luna and Heartwood. So, protectors of Britannia, call upon your beasts, pick up your swords, and fight for your freedom, your pride, your Britannia!

Wedding Bells!
Another Wedding..

Lord Kai, a guard of the Duchy and his girlfriend Virelle, finally tied the knot in a local teahouse. Unique setting, and apparently a "spur of the moment" kinda' thing. We wish them good luck on behalf of the Poste!

Calm Before The Storm..
It's Gone Quiet In Minoc..

It's gone all quiet in Minoc recently since the Yewish took over, the constant conflict that has been hammering through the town over the past few weeks has finally subsided, for now atleast. Will Vesper and Cove try to make another assault attempt on their neighbouring town and kick the Yewish out?

If they are going to do so, maybe now would be a better time than ever? Klion and the D'Gar tribe haven't been seen for some time now, who knows where they are? This upcoming week should plan out to be very interesting in this plot!

Warning To All Heading To Cove!

Travellers returning from the north claim that the coastal town of Cove is being gripped by a mystery disease.

It is thought that the Guardian's spawn that have sought to besiege the town in recent months have brought the illness to Covian shores.

The symptoms are said to be: nausea, the coughing up of blood, extreme head and stomach ache, diarrhoea, severe loss of appetite and weakness.

It is rumoured that the affliction is highly contagious and that the night sky above Cove glows bright with the pyres of the dead.

----------------------------------------------

Rumours

Trinsic's leading hero, Devante Stirling, have returned after an unusually long bed-rest following his recent illness. Now back, in the good custody of Gwen Irima, one hopes he will follow doctor's orders with plenty of rest.

Apparently the citizens of Trinsic are getting fed up with the conservative nature of their guard force. Some are even threatening to move elsewhere.

Staying with Trinsic, there's been whispers of the chance for an election for a new mayor of Trinsic in the near future. It's not been decided yet, but stay with us to find out soon!

Also, retired Duchy Captain Kaelyn hasn't been seen for some while. Maybe she's finally died? One can only hope..

Apparently all the rum is gone. If anyone knows why the rum is gone, please notify me.

Sosarian Olympics in two weeks
New inhabitants from the new lands?

In two weeks time, Vesper is the location for the next series of Sosarian Olympic games. Monday 21st of July is a date worth to reserve for the official opening ceremony of the land's well-known and treasured games. After the ceremony, the city's finest tavern, the Swagger's Inn will be open to provide refreshments to guests. According the programme, the games will continue on Tuesday with single fights to determine Sosaria's best fighter, followed by darts- and archery contests on Wednesday. Thursday will be Mage's Night, with both wresteling and summoning contests.

According to the posters, this will be the second olympic games in Sosaria's history. According to the Poste's archives, on the other hand, it will be the third. The first, held back in 2003 in Luna, was a tremendous success. We question whether these games held in Vesper will have the same success, considering Vesper's strained relationships to Britannia, and their recent feuds with the Britannia Guards and the Guardsmen Militia.

The Poste will return next Sunday with a more in-depth look at the full programme of the Olympic Games.

Trial by Combat introduced in Vesper
Vesper getting more uncivilized by the hour?

Worried about robbing the jeweler in Vesper? You shouldn't be. Just recently, the new Baron of Vesper, Elliot Heath, introduced a new law, letting any citizen of Vesper defend herself if accused by requesting a Trial of Combat. According to the baronial decreet, "[a]ny citizen of Vesper may, on being accused, or wishing to accuse another, of a crime or civil dispute, may request a Trial by Combat." The trial would then take place as a fight to the death by the accused and the accuser. The only downside to the whole thing is that both sides must agree to take part.

In the decreet, Heath calls upon that "Lord Greenie", who is "wholly good", to look upon the trials, and that he would "intervene to ensure that the victor of the combat is righteous in his cause".

The Poste has previously looked in to whether a religious mindeset is now coming to Vesper, but we have found little proof that these rumours were true. Is Heath now attempting to force his dominions into religious belief? If so, will the last frontier of freedom in the north, fall?

We encourage our readers to provide input. Send your letters to the Poste before our next issue, on Sunday the 13th of July.

Outbreak of plague in Yew
Church blames faithless immigrants

Just after the Poste went to printing last week, we were informed of an outbreak of a contagious plague in Greater Yew. The disease is thought to not only affect the body, but also the mind, with "sufferers demonstrating signs of madness and poor health", according to the clergy in Yew.

Known symptoms of the plague are sneezing, coughing, scratching, signs of fatigue, agitation, a dry tounge and insolence. According to the Yewish church, the disease can grip the infected in a varied amount of time: "[A]nything from only a matter of minutes to a number of days, apparently dependent upon your Avatarian faith", a spokesperson from the church told the Poste.

The advice of the church is to report any symptoms as early as possible. The dedication to prayer can easily cure the disease, according to the church, but "should the disease continue to ravage the body and mind unchecked, it is thought that burning of the skin is the only natural cure".

The Poste would advise all travellers to Yew to keep their Avatarian prayerbook close in case one would encounter the plague.

Disaster has been averted!
Yew drinking waters cured by "Higher Being"

According the official Militia posters, a "Higher Being" has cured Yew's poisoned water sources, the "cause of the ghastly plague that cursed not only the able-bodied of Yew, but the vunerable minds also". (Ed.: See the article above, on the outbreak of the plague in Yew.)

A sketch of infectious Yewish deranged madmen attacking the Militia.

According the the same reports, many areas of Yew are still infectious, and other places have gone days without food or water. The Militia, we are assured, have called in extra forces to deliver aid wherever possible.

Cove-Trinsic market a success
Cove-Trinsic relations improving well

Last Wednesday, the first Cove-Trinsic market was held outside the w
