Books on Drow history etc (and other subjects) are now available in Faeryl's library.

These books are for study by those loyal to House Hun'ett only. They must not be removed, copied, defaced or made known to those outside the House. Any who do not obey this rule will suffer pain beyond imagination.

Other tomes, of a more sensitive nature, are also available and can be studied only, by request in person, to Faeryl.

LLOTH – SUPREME GODDESS of the ILYTHIIRI.

Honorifics - The Spider Queen, Queen of Spiders, Demon Queen of Spiders, Demon Queen of the Abyss, Queen of the Demonweb/spawn Pits, Weaver of Chaos, the Hunted, the Mother of Lusts, Dark Mother of all Drow and Lady of Spiders.

She is leader of the Dark Seldarine, the pantheon of Drow gods who comprise of: Eilistraee, Ghaunaduar, Kiaransalee, Selvetarm and Vhaeraun. Vhaeraun is her son and Eilistraee her daughter. Selvetarm is her grandson and champion. All bar Eilistraee reside in a region of the Abyss known as the Demonweb Pits.

All desire to usurp Lloth and rule although she is nominally supported by Kiaransalee and championed by Selvetarm. But the gods are weak in comparison and even their combined might would not be enough to defeat her.

THE DOCTRINE OF LLOTH

All drow who do not worship Lloth must be converted or destroyed.

All weak and rebellious drow must be weeded out. All who impugn the faith must perish. Males or slaves of other races who act independently of Lloths dictates (and those of her priestesses) must be sacrificed to Lloth.

Those of the faithful whose loyalty is weak must be eliminated. Children are to be raised as loyal worshipers of Lloth, and each family must produce at least one priestess to serve the spider queen better than her mother.

Arachnids of all sorts are to be revered, and anyone who mistreats or kills a spider must die.

A mother may have as many daughters as she is able, but no more than two sons. All subsequent sons must be sacrificed to Lloth upon his birth.

The Ilythiiri of Lloth are the supreme race of all including other Ilythiiri and elves.

This is her Elamshin (Lloth’s destiny).

LLOTH AND CORELLON LARETHIAN

Back in the midst of time when she was known as Araushnee, Lloth was consort to Corellon Larethian. She bore him a son, Vhaerun, and a daughter Eilistraee. Corellon Larethian is head of the Elven pantheon of gods known as the Seldarine and made Araushnee goddess of the Ssri-Tel’Quessir (Dark Elves). Araushee favoured the Dark Elves above all else and she became their Weaver of Destiny.

But Corellon Larethian was a jealous god and soon resented the worship the Dark Elves bestowed upon Araushnee. By cruel subterfuge Corellon Larethian banished Araushee to the Abyss, stripped her of her divinity, transformed her into spider form and renamed her Lloth.

Many millennia passed in the Abyss and fuelled by her desire for vengeance and her existence with the Tanar’ri (the dominate race of demons in the Abyss), Lloth began to regain her divine powers. When the Crown Wars erupted, Lloth seized her opportunity by appearing to the Dark Elves and enabled them to wreck terrible vengeance over all the Elven Empires. Lloth had returned, stronger than ever.

Lloth then withdrew her followers, the Ilythiiri, to the realm of the Underdark where she demands complete obedience. With the philosophy of only the strongest will survive she began to hone a race that would be supreme to all races.
