| Guitar hero 3 vs Rock band!
Forget the singing...and the drums..and go down to basics...the guitars.. solo play...the songs that you get with GH3...are to me a lot worse..than the ones on Rock band. Its got a much..wider variety in comparison, plus a lot better selection of songs, from the bands. Even though, such things as "when you were young" and "repitillia" and "cherub rock" are still there, the stones song is better, metallica..is so so.. but overall the songs to me are better. The sweet, the who, alongside queens of the stoneage and bon jovi, classic. Multiplayer..rock band is a lot more aimed towards the multiplayer than GH3, randomness in set lists, quest "goals" and it seems to be a lot harder to raise cash to get things too. The solo's are easier visible, but the skippynotes are buggers to play. Watching the bands "actions" while the songs playing is a lot better on RB than on GH3, they actually..work with whatever songs playing (tambourine on jet, cow bell on blue oyster cult) Downloads...RB already beats GH3...with a lot more songs coming out..with people releasing new stuff, purely for RB, which is weird...but good. ...aint trying to be a fanboi, but RB kicks GH3's arse in my mind, except for the online play..harder to get matches. BUT the fact that can do co-op online is a good addition too. Songs in GH2..were better than GH3 mind, so :/ ...so anyone wanna be in my band?

Hey I agree with ya. I own both games and the one I keep going back to is RB. Now don't get me wrong, GH3 as far as difficulty is MUCH higher on guiter than that of RB (I have 2 songs left on RB vs 5 in GH3 on expert). But the point you made about music selection, I have wanted to spend more on RB from the XBLM soley because of the wide selections of music offered. I give a thumbs up to Rock Band.

Guitar Hero is legendary, and Heidi Klum even more so... I'm working on a cool contest with GameStop that gives GH fans a chance to become a playable avatar in a future installment of the Guitar Hero franchise. Just head over to GameStop :: Guitar Hero World Tour :: check out the other submissions to see what you're up against, then pony up and throw down your best rock star video! Imagine, being immortal inside a video game... not a bad deal. Tom with GameStop

I don't think dying within a game would be much fun though in all fairness, would really defeat the reason most of us play games. Rockband or Guitar Hero, doesn't matter which is the best because on either one, the drums are bleeding impossible on any setting above easy. Not to mention having no choice but whacking them with unreal force, causing the whole house to echo and shudder in your wake.

Was on hard setting on drums over the weekend, only problem had was the double bass drum beats, or snare, followed by bass, followed by snare + cymbal, all in quick succession. Is wierd when you can play stuff like hand that feeds relatively easy then have a small panic attack on maps :/ do it on guitar and it's the complete opposite >.>

I guess it's all about training your brain to just naturally react to what pops up on the screen. If you think about it too much you tend to get off the beat and fail at life.
