Lucasarts have been hyping this game for the best part of 18 months now, and the worry with a game hyped for that long is it will never live up to the expectation. But since this is a Star Wars game, in which you play a lightsaber wielding hero the expectation is always going to be higher than whats delivered.

First thing you notice about the demo is the bad voice acting, it kind of sounds like Darth Vader but then so do I if I speak into an empty coke can. Ok so James Earl Jones was probably busy but since Lucusarts is the home of all things Star Wars you would think they could get the voice done a bit better than it was.

Force grip is amazing, pick something up using the right trigger than use the left analogue stick to hurl it at something else, first time to my knowledge a Star Wars game has got it so right. The other force powers on display are lightning (which is pants, but put it down to being an early level maybe) and some force push thing which is mostly used for breaking doors and pushing people over. The game plays very much like Jedi Knight games on the PC and it is rather good fun.

Don't get to do any Lightsaber battles in the demo, which is where the game could come unstuck as there are times the camera does a really crap job of following you around especial when you go to use a force power (as you can tell from the end of the video). Heard some good things, and bad things about it so was a bit unsure before I played it, as a fan of the Jedi Knight series though don't think this is going to be a let down

Demo is on XBox Marketplace and Playstation Network at the moment, game is out September 19th

Finaly conned the missus into getting me a 360 this weekend which came bundled with this game.

After years of only PC gaming (last console owned was the original Playstation) and therefore very little console gameing knowledge i'm really enjoying this game.

Force grip is sweet as,not alot can beat grabing the enemy from a distance and throwing 'em across the terrain.Force push seems pretty handy for the harder to take down mobs for me. Lightsaber battles get very confusing...though maybe thats down to me not keeping up with the camera.

As a complete console novice i gotta admit i think the aparently harder mob fights seem alittle too easy,especialy the finishing moves that tell me which buttons to press (maybe numbnuts 'ere has it on easy mode or some such).

From a Noob,in summary a pretty sweet game though not as challengeing as expected.
