As most of you have probably already heard, Olk Samsca was elected as the new Baron of Vesper last night. Until that moment he was just another figure in the township, but now he's a man of importance. A man worth a royal ransom!

So, we need to move quickly now, before he realizes the situation and will start upgrading his bodyguard significantly. Tonight at 8pm, we shall make our move and try to snag him. Make no mistake, the ransom will be high, and if the Vesperians are not willing to pay, maybe the Trinsicians would be...

Well the kidnapping went just as planned... at first.

We gathered slowly into the Swaggers where I had spotted the Baron sitting idly. I instructed the men to wait, then Lady Jade Bastet helped us to get the Baron out of the tavern.



She took him to the bank and we followed, quickly snatching the baron in front of his bodyguard! We escorted him promptly to the moongate, through to Yew and to my hideout.



I then entered negotiations with the Vesperians for the Ransom, and to get Wilfred out of jail (he was imprisoned when we took the Baron). Our demand was one million gold for his release, which they agreed to too quickly. I smelled a trap and negotiated again. This time, Hanse of Vesper promised to come with just two of them to the meeting point. And I fell for it.

I took them to our gang and the Baron, and they promptly summoned a moongate, from which dozens of Vesperian troops poured out. How could I be so stupid?! We were forced to flee and the Baron escaped. A good plan folded by their incredible treacherous, wicked minds. Hanse will pay for his trick, sooner or later...
