Multiple Accounts

We have previously allowed the use of multiple accounts for the purposes of the Ultima Online Roleplaying Community hosted here. This will be allowed to continue. Multiple accounts for other uses are not allowed however (unless approval has been given by an Administrator), and will be removed. Actions caused on multiple accounts that results in infractions being awarded will result in the same infraction for all of that user's forum accounts.


Forums4Games Infraction and Banning/Re-banning policy

Forums4Games operates an infraction point penalty system. Upon reaching 10 infraction points you will find yourself banned from these forums.

The Forums4Games team reserves the right to judge accounts on an individual basis in terms of lifting bans. If after a period of time the Administrative team believes a user can have the ban lifted, then the account (and related accounts) will have the ban lifted. In most cases the infractions will also be cleared. However, the team reserves the right to not remove any or all infractions. They also reserve the right to place restrictions upon the account depending on the nature in which the account was banned. This can include, but is not limited to, a one-strike and you're out for good system, and limited posting ability/access to the forums and site.

Evading a ban through using an alternate account will result in that account being instantly banned. The ban will be permanent on both this account, and all related accounts for the user.

The infraction points are not new and have been used in these quantities as opposed to the % warning system.

Infractions placed on a forum account are removed after a period of four months. Users found to be abusing the system by repeatedly coming close to a 10 infraction point ban, then waiting for the points to decay before doing it again, will be banned from these forums.

Below are a list of rules along with associated infraction points for infringement.


General Board Behaviour

• Spam is generally frowned upon and is only tolerated in the correct babble threads within each Forum. In this case Spam is defined as posting irrelevant or inappropriate messages and dragging a Thread deliberately off topic. If you are caught spamming in any other forums, you will be warned by 1 infraction point.
• No flooding of threads and posts will be permitted in any forum (flooding means, creating/repeating threads/ posts), much like spam the warning given is 1 infraction point.
• Posting adverts is not allowed. All adverts will be closed or deleted subject to Mods desecration. Blatant Advertising can result in immediate banning of your username. Coming back and advterising more can result in an IP ban. In the least case advertising will give 5 infraction points.
• Post threads in relevant forums only. Moderators will close or move threads that aren't relevant to a forum. Please ensure you read the forum descriptions before posting. On first, second, or third offense Moderators may not immediately force the rules on you. If the rule often get's ignored, 1 infraction point can be given out.
• No posting in capitals. On the Internet, using only capitals is the same as shouting and as such is considered rude and offensive. Threads using only capitals are subject to closing as moderators see fit. This carries a penalty of 2 infraction points.
• All trolling and flaming, blatantly provocing and all other hostile acts towards other uses are intollerable on this site, no matter which forum you post in. This includes malicious and false information about other websites and forums, as well as Forums4Games itself. First offense will result in 1 infraction point, second in 4 infraction points, third in 5 infraction points and a ban on the last.

Audio and Software Piracy

Linking to any site that distributes illegal software, ROMs, media, or emulators is not permitted.

Abandonware: It's not legal

There is a common belief that 'Abandonware' software is legal. This is not the case. For more information on the matter please visit http://www.mobygames.com/featured_article/feature,7/ and it is regrettable that any links to abandoware sites will fall under this rule

2nd case ban.


Bugs, exploits, and all associated

No discussing exploits or bugs of any online game will be permitted in any forum.

Breach of this rule will result in the offender being warned by 2 infraction points.
Repeated offences, the warnings will go up accordingly.
