Suggestions - comments

Heya all,

In regards to the weird training i ran tonight, are there any suggestions or comment that might polish it up a bit.
I think most people found the fighting fun once it got underway, but i know the waiting and explaining was tedious and dull.

It was the first time i ran it, was bound to be a rather bumpy ride especially as i didn't expect the 20 odd people who showed O_o

I think perhaps it is better left to larger events rather then the weekly training. (Partly cause it's a pain in the arse to sort and takes hours to arrange everything)

Please comment.

Easy training is get everyone to line up, split them down the middle and say you side fight this side, go. With perhaps some small rules.

It did look fun once I realised what was going on, maybe you just went an arse backwards way of explaining it.

Good training - different and interesting. I think people had fun although not sure how "useful" to actual battle it was!

I suggest a more conventional training next week - basically we need to mix things up so people look forward to training and don't get bored.

I'd also suggest keep trainings to an hour so folks can get some RP in after.

training that has practical application isn't always the best way to train people. sometimes by doing abscure things and stuff that doesn't necessarily makes sense can make people think more and in a more imaginative way, which consequently could infact make them work better together and create new strategies.

This training is fine for helping you develop strategical insight. Who to target first, picking up a weapon so someone else can't use it against you etc. The weapons just need to be balanced out. As soon as someone gets reagents or a weapon, he wins.

Talking about strategical insight though, my superior strategy in the FFA should have been rewarded!

A bit like Battle Royale - they start with little and have to pick up the objects that are dropped randomly (could be a shield, a pile of bandages, a small bag of regs, a pink hat...)

well i'll try and come up wit summin else in the coming weeks.

The whole idea really was just to give people summin else to do rather then the box standard training that only the same 1 or 2 people actually show up for.

It was a good idea and once it got going it was fun. Thanks for putting the effort in to do it I agree it was a bit lengthy setting it up and explaining it ? and there was a problem with the venue, those of us sat in the stands couldn?t actually hear anything that was said from the other side of the pitch (unless that was just me, but I?ve noticed before that the Luna arena is a nice place to look at but no good for acoustics). I think though that it might be better suited to a special event rather than training but on the other hand, if you do it again, at least those of us who were there this time will know what to do and the rest can pick it up from watching and guildchat
