Iron is the only colour for a knight's set of armour

I like the picture at the beginning of the thread, really brings home what KT once were!

One of the people there, Ultramar, I remember I was going to join KT at the same time as him. I spose that's 4 years ago now, or is it 5? We were chatting on the ground floor of Beaufort, or somewhere. and I remember deciding not to join when I went along to the mass gathering before the battle of minoc where I found out KT along with tons of loyalists was going to attack the Vesperian garrison there and me being from Vesper couldn't bare it so I decided to join -V-.

In some ways I regret that, but in another way it pushed me into something that was more original and quite interesting because I still wanted to do the knight thing, but from a non-loyalist view.

Reading your replies also reminds me how much I'd like to come back ot UO if i had the time to really do stuff properly. I miss all the knights, the chivalric council, which sadly seems to have gone ( ), and the wars.

How amazing would it be if the original idea for the chivalric council was followed through and we had one giant knightly order again? shame pelleus isn't about really

anyway, very nice thread and nice to see that knightly RP still lingers in some corners of the community!

I think theres a fair few Knightly types scattered about the shard but they are all split between several guilds.
I am dreaming i know but wouldnt it be wicked if they could all pool to one guild

i reckon it could happen tbh, you just need a few GMs to forget their pride and make the IC decision to merge and then get them to work together in various roles to pull the new joint guild together.

anyway, this is kind of off topic hehehe

would be great to see something happen that could bring together knights, even if it only did it to a half or a quatre of the extent the old KT did, it would be great!

That would be kinda sweet if all the Knightly guilds all joined up! Just imagine the mess and the arguments that would cause...would be brilliant *grins*

Would be really nice tho....

Yes it was Justinus in the yellow hat. And i remember that event very well since it was the first event i ever organised back when i was in W^B wth lots of help from Quelle and Berek.

We went out twice, once to find two parts to a scroll and then again to Terrakeep to rescue a girl named Mercia

Yes that hat was well funny, very distinct.

I remember Quelle well, it took me ages to persuade her to join KT. I first met her helping people at Brit Graveyard back when newbies used to train there. I used to pop along and chat to her most days explaining about ERPA and KT. Eventually she agreed she liked what she saw and agreed to join KT. Was the hardest and longest recruitment ever but well worth it.

Old Knights that come to mind were
Manderville, Atreyu, Ao, Valac, Quelle, Kurt, Mithrim,
Will add more once i wrack my brains and am not so tired

Berek and Tabbitha used to get kidnapped a lot hee hee, but i recall Berek was the worst for it lol.
I missed Kurt when he left KT, he was like the old wise one of the Guild, and a good character. My characters learned a lot in game from him.

Well its a real testimant to how good KT was in its day. How many of the young turcopoles went on to create and lead their own successful guilds. I for one learnt all i know from watching the likes of Orlando, Zak, Kurt, Lorval and Katherine/Decardo.

But one person always sticks in my mind when i remember my young days in KT, thats my first mentor Kalidor . I blame him for everything i am today, it was hilarious to be mentored by a crazy German Paladin, who's English was very questionable.
