 | Aye, you are referring to the difference between the Sindarin and Quendi elves. Sindarin (Legolas's people in fact) are in fact a bit darker. Elves in Tolkiens world arent evil, ofcourse, but as is briefly shown in how they handle the dwarves in The Hobbit, and what you can learn from The Silmarillion (yep, read it years ago) they are more, during that Age of the world anyways, interested in their own secluded self interests. Elrond's elves are unique, in that they have more contact with the world of Men than other elves, hence why their culture is so different from Legolas and Galadriels people. Oh wait... I gave it away... Im a Tolkien fan :-P | ||||||||

| "fairytales" often make the most magical and best films and most films are somewhat based upon fairytales. i once read an article explaining how there are only actually ten original tales in the world and all other tales are based upon them- Faust being the only one I can remember off the top of my head. I would love to see films of: John Milton - Paradise Lost Dante Alighieri [sic?] - The Divine Comedy oh and I think Tolkein is overrated totally =P heh

| I agree with Tolkien..i also think he's well over rated when you compare him to other writers out there.
