"Pre-ordered" it a while back, just got around to seeing it this weekend. Regrettably. Not even Sarah Michelle Gellar could save this trainwreck of a movie. If you haven't seen it yet, please don't. There is no plot, no beginning, no ending, and the only "horror" in this horror movie is the scary feeling you get afterwards that you just wasted 95 minutes of your life. You'll never get them back!

I saw the original (Ju-on) which I thought was OK. Some creepy moments but overall rather confusing. (Trying hard not to be racist here but a lot of the cast look kinda similar so it's a bit hard to follow who's who at times, at least on the first viewing!)
The remake with SMG made slightly more sense but wasn't greatly different.

I heard in Grudge 2 the heroine is actually attacked by...some hair... o_O

Yes I liked the remake of Ju-On (never could bring myself to watching the original. There's just something about Japanese acting/voice acting that gets on my nerves heh). But #2 was just a complete disaster.

If you want a good oriental (Korean in this case) horror/creepy movie, I recommend The Eye. I've seen a lot of those Tartan horrors and most have been rather disappointing, but not this one.
