What's a Decathlon?

The Mexican Decathalon spider - called so because it's infact amazing at decathalons. The Olympic Commision banned them from entering in 1904 because they have an unfair advantage.

Other animals that could win a decathalon:

African Decathalon ferret (rare but very fast)
Spanish Heptathalon Shrew (They're always up for a challenge)
Animal from the Muppet Show

It's from Greek, "Deca" which means ten (10) and "Talon" which, as you may guess, means talon or claw. So any animal with 10 claws or talons would do.

Leopard. Not quite as fast as a cheetah but can run fast enough to catch a gazelle. Enough strength to drag the gazelle into a tree (and also good enough at climbing to be able to get into the tree whilst carrying said animal). Fierce enough to scare off most other predators.
Not really great at throwing spears, but hey, you can't have everything.

Tigers can do it all, perhaps not good in the throwing events but he'll make it back on the running and jumping.
