Finally! I've been checking the local stores for this title since the Wii launched, and yesterday I got hold of it in a tiny toy store downtown. They had one copy left! The girl at the register was hot too, and she had a Wii, chatted with her a while when I had secured my Wiiplay box. Should have got her phone number. Damnit. But I digress.

For those not in the know, Wiiplay is a collection of fun little mini-games designed to showcase the capabilities of the Wiimote. It's a bit more expensive than other Wii titles, but it also comes with an extra Wiimote (sans nunchuck)! The games are Shooting gallery (yay, duck hunt!), ping pong, laser hockey (aka airhockey, but prettier), billiards (actually fun!), fishing, cow racing (!!), a mini-tank game and a couple of others (Pose-your-mii and a memory game thingy). Most of the games are designed for 1-2 players.

Wiiplay, like Wii Sports, uses your Mii to keep score and as avatar in the games. You'll also notice your friend's Miis in the audience and as part of some of the games. All in all this is a fun title, and the price is great (here it's around €10 more than you'd pay for the Wiimote alone). There's something for everyone in here. Me and my son loved the air hockey and the billiards. My daughter spent all morning fishing and racing cows.

So if you want another Wiimote, and you can find this title anywhere, go buy it! You won't regret it.

I also bought Rayman while I was at it - I'll see if I get time to play it today or tomorrow.
