Got me letter this morning to say my line is being switched over next Tuesday, so from the reports I see on the interweb, I should be back online within about 3 years.

I know, and I have a feeling thats what they will say too.

Reading into it on t'interweb, looks like my line is capped at 2mb. The router says it's capable of about 8.6mb when I look into the stats, but only connects at 2mb

Idiots.

I call sky up, explain my 2mb problem, and ask if my line is capped.
Bloke puts me on hold while he checks my line, comes back and says he can't see a problem, 4mb is the most I will get.

Fine I say, so whay am I only getting 2mb?

He says "Is there any other problems you're having with your connection?"

I say "No, It connects fine, just only at 2mb"

He sayd "Then I can't help you. I can only help if there are problems connecting. You need to call the sky engineers on this number ......"

Ok I say. I call up the sky engineers on their number, and the bloke there says "I can't help you, you need to call the generic tech support number"

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH

So I call back the generic tech support number, where the bloke I speak to this time tells me the DSL checker program they have hasn't been working all morning, and I should call back later.

Annoyed? yes.

Im with Bulldog, for two weeks they couldnt even tell me what password I need to use to connect to their service. I have a customer account username and password, and a connection username and password both of which are different, when I have called them up they have given me the password for my customer account which I know, reset my customer account password, told me 3 times that the username and password to connect are admin and admin (nope that was the username and password for the friggin router) and to call back later as their systems are down. I have given up now, dread to think how cancelling is going to go apparently it can be a bit of a nightmare, oh joy. Was hoping that Sky would buy pipex but looks like carphone whorehouse are going to get it instead so I may just settle for a bit of string and tin can

I called them back, and was told that I was lucky I was even online, as I need to wait 3 days after my activation date until I'm activated.

confusing.
