I was in the alpha stage, played around with it for about 4-5 days and uninstalled it. It seemed nice enough, though nothing special; better than most alpha/beta's I've seen.

I didn't like the samey apocalyptic feel, I didn't like the character skill progression tables (they were very badly conceived) and I didn't like the Pay-to-play/Get less for free idea.

The download was at the time very unreliable indeed, so I hope they've fixed it.

yes theres usually a free trail about, keep playing it for a month and then getting bored.

much more fun just to read about it than actualy play.

Im surprised no one (IE Futt) has come on ranting about the programs Hellgate installs that lets it scan your PC (software and periphials) and also fills the game with in game advertising (Both Demo and full on subscription version of the game)

Isn't DRM just to stop copying? This one scans your PC see what programs you have installed, and 'periphials' arguably so they can tailor games to 'meet you needs'

Didnt they have something like this in MMORPG's anyway though?

single player is ok, its a new diablo basically set in london

havent tried the multi, download spead of the 4.3 is basically quite good
