What I mean is.... would you like 'perfect' 1:1 backups (including menus and extras)
backups of just the films

playable on DVD player or PC..?

Would rather do a straight copy to another dvd, but misplaced the DVD's was going to copy to so may have to settle for dumping them onto pc (minus all the extra gubbins

various choices then sir.
Obviously though, I must set out some terms and conditions.
If you read below the line that says "DO NOT READ BELOW THIS LINE UNLESS YOU AGREE TO THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITONS", then you automatically agree to these terms and conditions.
i) You acknowledge that you have express permission from the copyright holders to make a backup of the aforementioned DVD's
ii) OK, there's only one term/condition

DO NOT READ BELOW THIS LINE UNLESS YOU AGREE TO THE ABOVE TERMS AND CONDITONS

My recommendations -

1) DVDFab HD Decrypter(£0.00) This will copy the whole disc to a folder on your hard drive. No loss of quality, but it can take up to 9Gig per film

2) DVDShrink (£0.00) An oldie but a goldie - This will copy the whole disc or whichever parts you want to an ISO file (for burning), and will 'shrink' the size down to fit on a single-layer DVD, with very little loss in quality (and can often do so in less than 15 minutes)

3) Handbrake (£0.00) A new-kid to the Windows block, and I have only had experience of the Mac OS version, but I'm sure it works the same way. This will encode the main movie into either an xvid or h.264 file.

the thing i don't like about AutoGK is all the crap it installs with it for subtitles and stuff. Handbrake is an easier solution.
