This weekend I have drunk 13 cans of diet coke, was a slow weekend for me and I ran out at lunch time. All the cans are sitting on my desk ready for me to either stack them and fire rubber balls at them or clean them up (remindes me to find my gun). Anyhoo just knocked some over while trying to turn speakers off and noticed imprinted on the bottom of the cans are 2 digit numbers. Out of the 13 cans no two cans have the same number though I do have a 34, 35, 36 and 37 the rest are just random. What purpose do these numbers have, is there going to be a new craze of collecting coke cans and how much do you think I will get for a number 17 on ebay?

Hmm, i just checked the bottom of two coke cans on my desk

they have an expiration date and then a line that reads
238WA1 14: 37

I think its a time the cans were made

At a rough guess I would estimate that for insurance purposes if you have the number "13" you should have it placed at a value of about £1200.

Most other numbers are virtually worthless however, fetching between £10-15 each at auction in the Channel Islands mainly.
