Why, when people die, do people make it sound like they were the greatest person ever?

Now, dont get me wrong, I liked the chap, he was a good actor.

But at the end of the day he wasn't one of the greatest, there were not massive groups proclaiming his greatness before he died, so why do people make these groups nows?

Its nothing more than people trying to build themselves up on the basis of someone elses misfortune.

At the end of the day he was a good actor, but also lets face it, he killed himself on a drugs overdose, so not exactly the greatest role model?

Apparently it was accidental though. Heard some Americans being interviewed about it on the news when driving home, some of them feel the US Government needs to do something to stop these kinds of deaths. Not because random nobodys are being prescribed drugs that can easily kill you but because famous people keep dieing!

Well thats the problem, none of the drugs were stuff he shouldn't of had. Doctors had prescribed the drugs to him which could be and proved to be lethal when mixed wrongly

Don't get me wrong, I liked him, A Knights Tale is one of my favourite films. But the outporing of faked grief is sickening

Because he was depressed and couldnt sleep, when you cant sleep for days on end normal thinking goes out the window. These pills make me happy, these pills make me sleepy, I am tired and unhappy so will take them all. Rather than look to fix the problems long term and find out why these things are happening doctors these days just hand you a load of drugs which either help a bit or kill you.

But yeah the fake grief is nausiating, he seems to have more fans now than when he was alive

How many different states can you be in at once to take 6 different types of drugs? Seems fairly clear to me he wasnt using them for thier intended purpose,l maybe because of depression and what not. Probably sad about his life or something and didnt stop to reaslise its a hell of a lot better than a lot of the worlds population.

Yes clearly he had problems, he was quoted as saying he used to smoke 5 joints a day

Winehouse is different kettle of fish altogether, miracle she is still walking the earth though she does resemble a zombie these days and if I bumped into here walking down the street I would try and remove her head with any nearby objects out of fear for my life

Right no offence or nothing but bull shit speaking as someone who is depressed and rarely sleeps I can tell you lack of sleep makes you sleepy, irritable and a little crazy it does not make you stupid or stop you being able to read the fact that they call it an accident is laughable. Taking that cocktail of pills does not happy sleep time bring and anyone knows that. he knew what the was doing and what the outcome would bring they are calling it an accident to make it easier for family and friends to stomach.

As for the fake grief outpouring in my experience this happens when anyone dies. Someone can be slagging someone off one minute and then oh shes dead oh how tragic how will i cope without her etc etc Ive seen it happen alot at family funerals it makes me sick.
