Yeah so, after they've been spamming me with invites for the last month or so i decided to give it a whirl and been playing the last couple of weeks.

Basicly it is what it says it is (big shock) FM08, but against other people.

The match engine and the database seem pretty much the same, as do the tactics screens and options tho training has disappeared in favour of an eve like skill system which is interesting where you training skills such as coaching,finacial management, physio etc in real time which give bonuses to each aspect.

The finacial side seems to be the only real let down so far, but also probably the bit they've worked on least. no stadiums, gate reciepts etc and the wages/ purchase prices seem alittle strange.

All in all if you like FM you'll like this unless your the type who enjoys winning the champions league every year with a world best 11 cause thats not really happening here

Its a great dip into for an hour, half an hour each night and play afew matches type of game if they prices the subscription price right it should do well.

Ever since FM 1 for the C64 came out I have wondered - Who needs these 'games'? Would it not make a lot more sense to build in management into EA's FIFA Soccer to add more than just kickin' the ball around ... next you'll start reviewing Ice Hockey Manager '08 and praising the new 'Brawling Training' with Wimote controls.

oh dear the game itself is actualy pretty good, finances and transfers are shall we say fucked, its as nice as i could put it.

Its all pretty much turned into a second hand car dealer scamathon of the newbies which has left the game world pretty dead.

Aeribian would probably love it.
