Its not a cake, nor a biscuit. Along with Jaffa Cakes there needs to be some sort of new classification on these type of produce

Obviously you have not watched QI like many of the damn people I know, it seems every time I eat a biscuit somebody wants to tell me the fascinating story about how biscuits go soft when stale and cakes go hard. This is how Jaffa proved that they make cakes and saved money on tax or something... It really is highly interesting. Oh how I love it when people explain this to me, it makes me all tingly and happy inside.

Bread goes hard, buts thats not a cake is it. Throw that in their face

Well clearly Jaffa Cakes and Teacakes arent neither, thats the point. Having "Jaffa Cakes ares cake because they go hard when stale" stand up in court is like getting away with telling a judge "Well she looked 16"

If a cake is by definition something that shares properties with the Jaffa then surely it is still a cake. I once bought tiny biscuit sized oven bake pizzas, is it wrong to continue calling them pizzas (regardless of how ridiculous such a food may seem) just because they were the sizes of a biscuit?
