Vassell Benjani Bojinov injured, Jo at the olympics I belive. Caicedo and Sturridge played, both meant to be really good talents, more then enough for an icelandic side imo. Bojinov got 25 minutes at the end tho. Not looking good for City atm. I don't envy them playing tho with all the bullshit their owners got caught up in. Promised them billions, fine, but isn't it all frozen in Thai bank accounts?

This sounds interesting, Spurs may be looking to sign Arshavin again. I would very much like to see him play, especially after talking him down a while ago only for him to prove me wrong in the euros against the Netherlands.
Oh and Chelsea may look to sign Kaka next summer for a meagre 1 billion squllion dollars, who although I am not a fan of Chelsea's superficial spending policy, would definately be an awesome player to watch in a different league as I don't really enjoy the Seriea much.

Hmm, I may have to rethink my stance on the champions, I would have thought Pompey would have been a tough nut to crack, but Chelski taking them apart with ease!

I think general opinion is Man U and Chelski 1st / 2nd in some order, Liverpool and Arsenal 3rd and 4th in some order, and there's no reason yet to see any break in that.

As for who will win that title, it's hard to pick between Man U and Chelsea, bit of a coin flip really.

I have no idea if he'll come to Liverpool or Villa will keep him.

Benitez wants him, Liverpool can afford him, but our owners don't want to sanction the 18 million. I am greatly glad of Manchester City purely for having a bigger tit as an owner than us.

Personally I do rate Barry as a player but will he improve Liverpool? Yes I think he may do, but will he significantly improve Liverpool? Is he that much better than Alonso? Is he a solution to the left side issue we have? No, I don't think he is.

If he comes, that's fine, but I'd much prefer we spent the money on a naturally left-side wide man.

If Liverpool do buy Barry I think it will hurt Villa more than it will improve Liverpool. There is no doubt in the current transfer market he is worth the £18 million, but they could get a better player from abroad for the same amount.

I dont see Barry being enough to help Liverpool push for the title, I can see him helping Villa push for a top 4 spot in the next 2 seasons
