Wednesday: Rain, flooded tent, wet.
Thursday: Day trip into leeds, new tent, dry tent, muddy ground...
Friday: Mud, mud, firey loud metallica, dry tent
Saturday: Drier mud, sun, bouncy rage against the machine, rain later..dry tent.
Sunday: Muds back, loud editors, papery killers, mud, fireballs at campsite, drive home.

Overall: Eardrums burst, mud allover, sunburnt and mud.

I never got the appeal of all the mud and hassle when you wanted to see a band. Just not my thing.

I figure there are only 3 or 4 bands out of the lot id actually want to go and see, and the total cost for those would be less than the ticket to the festival.

But as I say, just me, I'm getting old

Have to agree.

Never felt the need to saturate myself with 30 bands the majority of which arent really my cup of tea.

Rage and Metallica - Yes well worth seeing - but maybe with Rage back in their heyday and not today? Bit like the Sex Pistols reform shows...

Then again I saw the Buzzcocks in about '98 and they were pretty awesome still.

Thing about the bands, from the full setlist, must have been 10-12 bands I wanted to see, things like tenacious d doing their first real festival to rage's reformation. Compared to last year, this year completely kicked it's arse, even with the mud and kicking two frogs from my 1st tent If campings not your thing though, can understand the muck on and annoyance ended up with the biggest annoyance bring my miserable mate not even moving during one bands full set list and looking like he was at a funeral>.>
