I don't have a car to scrape...I just have a journey involving two trains and a 25 minute walk two and from work. Which isn't fun if it's freezing. And dark. Bleh.

I always poured warm water on my windscreen to clear it.

Kept awake by mice again. I went to investigate the sounds in the kitchen and one shot off the the work surface and scuttled under the fridge. Nearly gave me a coronary.

I don't have a Ganglion... which is nice. Its a bit of bone, which if I want it removed will take a nice operation and something akin to a rasp. Looking forward to that.

You dont need a cat Cal, I got rid of mice by using traps baited with chocolate. It works better than anything else. And yes I used humane ones and released them miles away.

Cen...last time I had a bad problem with them I trapped on humanely, but then the bastards were shitting in my toaster and I just lost patience. I got one with my Dyson and a couple more with poison.
Time to buy some more poison I reckon.

A microwave can be a good mousetrap if ye set it up right.

Once saw someone try to use warm water to clear thier windscreen...they'd boiled the kettle and poured it straight onto the glass. Some people really need to understand pouring boiling water onto cold glass will 90% of the time result in a new windscreen.

Cats are also pretty good at the unconditional affection thing, on their own terms.
So you get fewer mice and a small furry affectionate thing that sits on your lap. Sounds like a win to me.

The only prob, Cerys, is I'm in a tiny studio flat with no garden, and I'm out a lot. Otherwise I'd have got cats years ago.

buy a microwave a screw driver and a timer switch...

strip the case and protective coverings off the magnatron, and plug it into the timer... set the timer for half an hour and run like f**k! When you get back you should have microwaved your kitchen - that should get the little feckers
