I bought some tall shelving units for my son's room in the new apartment that we are moving into at the end of the month, wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to kids and begging, the small shopping area I live near is always swamped by kids doing Penny for the Guy, and they always have a few friends with them too. They have a habit of blocking the doorway to shops almost so you have to trip over them to get into the shop. Used to be one or two doing it, now its 3 or 4 different lots. Makes it annoying when you want to grab some milk and sugar and having these kids shouting penny for the guy.. which incidently is some ball with a mask and some t-shirt stuffed and tied sitting in a bread crate or some poor little kid's pushchair who's having to walk everywhere now so his older brother can scrounge money to buy cigs/alchohol/drugs with.... *rants on a tangent*

Riv's gone off (looking bloody fabulous, actually) to the funeral of the-father-of-Riv's-sister's-ex-boyfriend. We don't know the man, but for some reason Riv feels the need to be there, so he's buggered off. Knowing my luck, he'll arrive back with all of his siblings and his dad, and 4 assorted strangers in tow expecting Little Miss Sunshine here to just rustle them all up a spot of dindins and entertain them with my witty repart?e for the evening (as per usual). The only probby with that being that when you're eight months up the duff, all you REALLY want to do is tell them all to sod off and leave you alone with your video of Gordon Ramsey screaming obscenities at stupid Americans who can't even figure out the reason that the scallops WON'T stick to a non-stick-pan.

Well there's a week gone off Uni where I was meant to be catching up with things but didn't actually get round to much due to have the b/f around. Find it hard concentrating on much with him around but miss him too much when he's not here, even for one night.
Been trying to work on a storyboard for the video I have to do, plus this website stuff and other things. Beginning to wonder about my course and all the work in it but at least its enjoyable and not tons of boring essays.

My (up until now) very active 76 year old mum has had a massive stroke and is in hospital, unable to talk or eat as yet.
Give she's the primary carer for my dad, who had a stroke five years ago, this sucks on just about every level.
So there ya go. Just when things are starting to get better, life comes back and gives you a hefty kick in the crotch.

Hmmmm work was pure hell today. My first day on a new shift, and noone thought it important to run down what I needed to do (and when) to me, despite the fact that whats done on the 7-3 shift, is completely different than the 11pm-7am shift...... *sigh* It flew by quickly (a small blessing) due to running around so much (which hopefully will count for some exercise! -another small blessing) and I got out an entire half hour late due to stupid charting! So by the time I got home, I had a nice assortment of bodily fluids ranging from throw up to poop on me. Yay really.
