I iron twice a week for at least an hour each time. Cook and clean! Wash up, do the washing, vacuming, and best still. Never moan about it because at the end of the day it has to be done! Actually it is not that bad. Now changing nappies... that is a whole different story!

To be honest I don't know what the fuss is all about! And women's work? bit stereotyped eh? Anyone can hold a loo brush and clean! Not everyone can cook though, I know some people who would burn a bit of toast!
*Chuckles*

Keeping the place clean is a must! Unless you want roaches..... eeeewwww....

I often wonder how true that is... I mean is it like your house gets to a specific lack of cleanliness then suddenly cockroaches lock thier little buggy radar onto it... and a clean house is like a stealth jet, they could walk straight into your house and still not see it?

I mean getting flies from leaving meat say, that works, because rotting stuff attracts flies and they lay eggs, so even when the first batch die another hatches...

But it's like head-lice, I seem to remember as a kid being told that you need to wash your hair or you'd get lice - but then a nature documentary said they preffer clean hair... since then I've always kind of wondered about things that we say, or think about one thing causing another...

Well. Even a clean house can get infested with roaches, but food lying around on the floor like crumbs etc does attract them more. Kitchens mainly for obvious reasons, and if you get them, they are a bugger to get rid of.

Well I've got mice, nasty little bastards, but as it's a converted house with five flats, one of which is empty most of the time, there's not much I can do as they have four other flats to run to if I try to clear 'em out.
I guess I need to start buying poison again.

My flat is a bit small for either. I might see if I can borrow Fred's rats though!

Some rats living in your flat for a week or two will quickly drive the mice away *grins*
If its space you are short on, that might be the better option, especially if you can get access to some on temporary loan.

* sighs* I miss having rats...just don't have enough time to give them these days and an interferring old woman next door with a rodent phobia that I really do need to keep on the good side of.
