| Why do women hate bonfires? Had a bonfire last night to try and get rid of some of the huge amount of garden waste in my garden from: A giant eucalyptus tree - now removed A huge amount of ivy from a brick wall that has been removed SO there was some smoke and stuff and it was a bit Apocalypse Now at times but my gf was having a semi-headfit - why?

| i like bonfires too ! only time i would ever moan about a bonfire is if i had just hung out some washing to dry and it all stank of smoke.

| Also love fires and bonfires... No idea why your girlfriend has a particular problem with them, but I can guarantee it isn't because she's female. *chuckles*

| Just to clarify It wasnt the actual bonfire it was more the embarrasment/upset/worry about the huge amount of smoke billowing about the back gardens of about 30 houses - even though it was a nasty night and there was no washing about.

| hmmmm.... was garden waste? why not compost it instead of bellowing out tons of carbon into the air? Doesn't sound like she had a problem with the bonfire, more like she worríed people may moan about the black smoke bellowing into their gardens. | ||
