![]() | My first pregnancy looking back was a doddle second wasnt too great as i had quite a few problems with hip pains and i started contracting irregularly from 35 weeks. the third one sucked big time i had spd from about 14 weeks irregular contractions from about 28 weeks heartburn that woke me up in the night and kept trapping a nerve in my back everytime i laid down which coupled with the spd made it very difficult to get up quickly in the middle of the nigth when bursting for a wee.

![]() | First trimester was awful, *horrible* morning sickness - bless my partners heart for sticking through that! Didn't help I ended up with a stomach bug as well. Like Anorah also had (and still have) gallbladder issues, is it common in pregnancy then? Quote:
Do have a strange amount of energy - which is great! Just wish it would hurry up now.. due next Thursday and it's showing no signs of wanting to come out! ![]()

![]() | Tanya - eat plenty of Apple Crumble - its callumf's surefire "bring on labour" food, or failing that lots of fresh fruit and vegetables! Also some gentle exercise can help and walking also!

![]() | Not even slightly, Reed. There's a large group of us that can't stand the little puking, crapping, screaming things *grins* But our pregnant ladies are more than welcome to share their experiences here and get feedback from others in the same situation.

| Senior Member Lady | Talking of being pregnant during the summer. My mum was pregnant with me during 1976 hottest summer ever. I was pregnant during August time with Mikey. I'm hoping to get pregnant in August if all goes well with having my coil removed (something I'm not looking forward to cause it'll be all icky and stuff). Which was meant to of happened two months ago except he keeps changing his mind *mumbles* Thankfully being around his sister's new baby has made him all paternal again so he's been brooding. (Tanya - if your still with the same guy he's a great dad and at least you'll have someone there who'll help in every way, also congrats to both of you as I didn't know ). |

Sadly yup, alot of issues like Gallbladder and Kidney stones seem to pop up alot more in pregnancy for some reason.. I was lucky I was pregnant during my last episode, otherwise it wouldn't have been diagnosed! Stupid doctors I tell ya... The problem with my doctor is she thinks because I was a bit, well maybe paranoid that things were okay for a good part of my first trimester that she associates me with being a hypochondriac or something, and ignored my gallbladder stuff for run of the mill heartburn... It landed me in the hospital on the baby ward for a good 4 days! 3-4 days after the episode started! And I have to see her today for the first time since then... (As we have four doctors that rotate) Got to love the extra energy though! I've been nesting on and off for about the last half bit of my pregnancy, which can get annoying when I get the urge to re-clean things between 1am-3am.. My house has never been so spotless in my entire adult life. Seriously. I've heard of raspberry leaf tea helping labor on, as well as primrose oil... So that's a thought! I'm hoping they check for progress today as they've yet to so I have some idea if all the pain and whatnot is actually doing something... ![]() Tanya, do you know what your having? Any names picked out? Ill most likely end up with a nameless child tbh at this rate. :S

![]() | I have to agree with Busty here. Babies = far to much effort. Besides I like my huge clean house and calm holidays whenever I like.

![]() | Well someone has to bring the next generation into the world Be glad you are not a seahorse! The males give birth! ![]() As Busty said not all women want to have babies, and I am so glad we live in a modern western society that gives you the chance to have babies or not have babies. HURRAY for contraception!!! Now back onto the topic ![]() Childbirth! My first pregnancy was really easy, no morning sickness, no braxton hicks. But the birth was appalling! And the nasty doctor sewed me up with no anaesthetic The BIIIAAAATCH!Second pregnancy was really bad, morning sickness, braxton hicks that were so strong I slept through the first half of the birth as I was used to the pain and only woke when my waters broke! Birth was quick and easy!

![]() | Apple crumble.. mmm yummy! Anorah - No idea what we're having, each time we went for a scan and the midwife tried to have a look-see the baby was covering itself with its hand/leg/umbilical cord etc! As for names.. does 'baby' count? No idea.. It's so difficult to decide.. and we both have large families so there is always someone else with the name! As for midwifes/doctors not taking you seriously - don't get me started! Though there is so much on the news and such over here at the moment about how bad labour wards/midwifes and hospitals are - eep! Meiko - Thank you Yes, same bloke and he has been great. (Including cleaning up after horrible bouts of morning sickness, bless his heart)

![]() | Like, fake contractions....... Not comfortable at all in the later stages.. Like labor, only not *as* strong or as constant. They say nearly everyone gets them from very early on and get worse as time progresses, but that doesnt mean everyone feels them or they get painful-my mother never did with me. Awww well, surprise baby eh Tanya? I dont know what it says about my little one, but she wasnt shy in the least and pretty much proudly displayed her goods.. I didnt even need the tech to tell me what it was, it was a really good *goodies* shot.. lol Thats ok, "Baby" is pretty much better than our "Gus Gus"... Which has been her nickname since before we knew she was a she... Poor kid I tell ya, nicknamed after the fat simple mouse on Cinderella... ^^ We must have a thing with rodents, as our first nickname (before we even made her) was Hamster... Though now Ive been feeling paranoid that she might be a he, and all my pink stuff is going to sexually confuse him (if its a him) as I dont have the money to get more, and I took everything out of the boxes and put it together ages ago, so I cant take it back to exchange it lol.. Anyhow had another doctors appt today aaaannnd I didnt have to deal with my craptastic doctor (she was out sick! yay!) who thinks Im a paranoid freak... I had to pretty much outright ask to be checked for dialation and stuff, as he (the sub doctor) wasnt going to do it.. but on the upside of having a strange man see me without pants, Im nearly 2 centimeters dialated! So he said odds are I wont be going past my due date, which is nice, since its nearly in the middle of August ... Last edited by Anorah; 19-07-07 at 09:05 PM.
