It may be quite comfy, but I can't move !

I want it out now for the same reasons stated by Anorah.. the sooner the baby comes the sooner they can remove my galbladder and stop the pain from it.

The only pain killer I can take is paracetamol, which really doesn't make a dent on the pain.

You ain't watched Scrubs then?
And I'm with Busty and Cen - no babies for me! Best of luck to the mums here but that's something I'm just not cut out for, no pun intended!
Reed, if you want a lot of kids, there's always the Brangelina route - one or two of your own and then adopt the rest. But why do you want so many? Kids are bloody expensive, property prices notwithstanding (six bed house anyone?) and how can you feel you're giving enough attention to each if there are so many?

hmm so far having babies and children has been mostly something like this:
The Shocking discovery of being pregnant, an awefull lonely time during the pregnancy that ended with LOADS of pain to wich a docter actually said: don't be a wuss (i bet ya know my reply to that). This was followed by having to struggle with people constantly to convince them that even tho i was young i didn't need anyone to tell me what i should or should not do. Then the first years of their lives it has been a lot of work, but the older they become the more fun i have Its been well worth it and i wouldnt want different... but nuhu... no more babies or pregnancies for me again (can't keep a man anyway and one does require one of those for making babies). I find myself finally at a point where the kids dont need me all the time: they go to school themselves, no need to arrange babysit if i need to step out for a little while ( i never leave them alone at night tho ), no more feeding, dressing and so forth. Pfew !

And to Anorah: Good luck you really having a hard last time

First babies nearly always come late... no idea why!

.it'll pop out when its ready too...dun induce the poor bugger, got enough to put up with while tryin to put up with its mothers fer the next god only knows how many years...geeeeeeeeeeeeeeez
Well. Sometimes they have to be induced as the placenta can become inefficient which poses a risk to mother and baby. The baby does not get enough oxygen or nutrition. I think normally they leave it for 7 to 10 days over your due date, after that it can become dangerous.

Oh yes. I agree totally, it is so nice to stop being a slave and having a life finally! I would never want anymore babies! Of course when you have ageing parents to look after it all starts again, however this time nappy changing is not like it was before...... eeeewww.... but then there are old people's homes. hehe

The pushing stage is the best bit cause its gives you something to do rather then having to just stick the pain also because you know when it comes to that you know its almost over.
To the two women suffering at the moment you have my upmost sympathies its not easy at the best of times but with added pains it cant be nice. fingers crossed it happens soon and at this rate labours something to look forward to rather then be frightened of. Fear being one thing that can delay a labour due to the fight or flight thingy.

Aye. I was lucky with my second. Only lasted one hour and I had my lovely little ickle baby! That is the best part, for sure, when you finally get to hold the baby. Really nice, makes you realise how it is all worth it

I always thought new-borns look rather ugly. There's nothing cute about them until they're like 6 months old.

Slimy, pointless things. They just are. No fun at all.

If any of my pushing stages lasted an hour i think i would have a different opinion on it ouch mine where always in a hurry once i got to that bit i dont think its ever lasted longer then 10 mins but that idea from the Huichol tribe is fantastic though if it were implemented in the west the population would die out.
