| Senior Member Lady | Had my scan, it's put me at 12 weeks today, thought I was a bit further on than that. We've got the Pram/Pushchair already cost us half price at £224 and its one of the safest on the market with something like 24 awards from parenting magazines etc. I'll try and get the photo up here when I get it scanned. |

| I want a better title! Crackers | Good grief, if I was paying that much for a pram, I'd want it made of gold and encrusted with diamonds!

![]() | yeah pushchairs are expensive ! mind you the one i had for when my wee one was born was bought for me and that was about £250 new....it was one of those which had the car seat that slotted into the top. My lad is soon to be 4 and we still use the same pushchair if need be as its plenty big enough for him. So money well spent unlike some of my friends who seem to be buying new pushchairs every two minutes - must cost them a fortune !

| Senior Member Lady | Here's a picture of it, it has the only lie flat car seat, so the car seat converts into a carrycot like a proper pram and as lying flat is much better for newborns that carseats that are at an angle. The carseat/carrycot attaches very easily to the base and you just press and hold in the button on the top of the handle to release it. Its all very hightech looking and a bit space agey, hehe. For Micheal I had one of the old clumsy frames with the seperate carry cot and pushchair part that slid over the frame. Silly amounts are being invested into prams now because of all the career type women who want them to be in a particular way etc, hehe, even the old Silvercross pram can cost £1000 these days. |

![]() | Thankies Melster! Babies cost way too much.. I dont even want to think about how much we spent (or was spent on her by her Nana). We just got a new carseat for her and it was like 189$ US for a .. carseat... To replace the one we had that went with her stroller/pushchair which was a set for I think I got it for around 160-170$.. The stroller is still quite nice but its huge, so we just bought a smaller more compact one as well to keep in the car for shopping and whatnot.. And its way too easy to spend your life away on girls clothing.... As there is so much pretty things out there.. I spend alot of my time in the consignment shops for clothes now, and toys especially. I bought things at Christmas time that I later found in the consignment shop for 75% less than what I paid for in the store, and Alexandra doesnt know the difference, new or not.. Just as an updated picture for my little rug monster .. :P They grow up waaay too quickly. Its highly unfair.. ![]() ![]() Sorry for the size... Meiko, will you be getting another scan to determine the sex of the baby? Or are you interested even in finding out? So are you looking at an early October birthday for your little one? and I wonder where Tanya is hmm! I want to see her little one too!

| Senior Member Lady | Aww she is so gorgeous. I'll get a date to have another scan around week 20, I don't want to know the sex but Mark does so not sure if to let him find out. If we have a boy we're calling him Alexander, hehe, popular kind of name I guess, Abigail for a girl though. I'd like to have another boy so Micheal can have a brother and I think Mark would love to have a son too. Micheal (11) has been really good so far, he carries shopping bags for me and gets all concerned about if something hurts my stomach. I was first given a due date of 25th Sept but thats moved to 28th now, so it could be early October if I'm late. |

![]() | Aww Alex was born on the 5th of August so they are only a few days apart! Yes pictures of Squishy are required as well! I cant wait to see!!! Last checkup she was just a bit over 6 months and she was already 17 pounds and 3 ounces, and 26 and 1/4 inches long! I remember when you picked the name Eloise but you hadnt picked a middle name... What did you end up picking? (btw Eloise is completely adorable!) Oh and she has 4 (FOUR!) teeth now.. 2 up, 2 down... She just got her second upper tooth last week. Which needless to say, has made things painful at times.. >.< Daddy picked out Alex's first and second name in the hospital, as we went in with no name picked out... I -thought- I might of come out of there with an Elisabeth, or an Emmeline, or even an Audrianna... But she didnt look like either the first or last choice, and noone but me liked the middle one.. I love Abigail as well for a girl and was one of the choices we went through when we first got pregnant. But it came down to Mike knowing a few Abby's so it seemed alittle weird to me. We had Gideon Alexander picked out for a boy, so we loved Alexander as well (And got Alexandra out of the deal I guess due to that)! Phoebe is pretty adorable as well for a girl Ill agree, sadly I will always associate Kai with well, that big ole' Kaldorian... hahaha So dish details please on all your little ones please!

![]() | My mate is pregnant at the mo, is due in June, and has invited me to be present at her home birth, which will be cool (i hope!). I also get to babysit for her little one in july when she has to take her toddler to hospital for checkups on his birth marks (poor Marshall). She is expecting another girl, who is she is going to call Jessica Jodie (or JJ as her partner has already started calling her), she has another 4 year old called Chloe. Cant wait to get a place with my fiance, me and Carl want about 2 kids I want one now lol, but aint in the position to be able to afford it, but doubt i will ever be so will just have to muddle through when it does happen. He likes the name Adam for a boy, but I know about 5 Adams so its quite a common name. I like the name Alexander too, but it is also the name of my ex... never mind... Maybe could go with Xander instead? Is gonna be fun finding something to go with Moll, which is Carl's sirname

![]() | We chose Alicia as her middlename. We had all sorts of names picked out as well, we had "Amy" as what we were going to call her.. but when she was born she just didn't 'look' like an Amy if you get what I mean.. and wow, Alex has sped along in weight!! She was 6lb something when she was born wasn't she? Eloise was 8lb 3 and when we had her weighed last week she was 17lb 1oz, cute little thing that she is! She's only got the two teeth at the moment (bottom two) which can be very painful.. dreading her getting any more! Has Alex started crawling or anything yet and do you plan on having any more? ![]() | Aww wait for the top ones, then the fun really.. begins.. ugh lol! She got her top two in a span of like 2 weeks time.. I get what you mean about the look like thing.. I stared at Alex for a day or two before her daddy just piped up and said he thought she looked like an Alexandra Grace (He had been pushing for Alexandria instead of Alexandra up until she was born) and since I didnt have a better solution I agreed to it.. hah Im still not sure if she looks like an Alexandra... Alex gained I think 3 lbs a month for her first 3 months! She had to be rehospitalized at about 5 days old I think for jaundice, so I was not only nursing but I started to pump as well and feed her that too.. She gained really quickly from there! She was 6 pounds 10 ounces at birth! And all that 17+ pounds of her is all mainly from nursing.. Im still really bad with having her eat solids on a schedule.. I cant wait to see pictures of Eloise! Im so excited as they are so close in age! Alex looks pretty much nothing like me, other than her nose, and she has a rounder face, and possibly my jaw line.. Otherwise its all Michael.. Same exact eyes, head, hands, feet, and dimple chin. She even has his blood type. Otherwise Alex kind of scoots, and now uses me for a ladder to pull herself up, thus pinching me repeatedly in the process.. haha.. She can stand holding on really well, as Michael has been making her do "baby exercises" from situps... to standing since she was like a month old.. She just started attempting to wave hello or goodbye but its hit or miss. She otherwise rolls around the house and pretty much can get anywhere by just rolling. Which is funny until you realize shes made it halfway under the bed or something.. So I think shes maybe a few weeks off from crawling. She occasionally gets on her knees while on her tummy but it doesnt last long. Shes also now trying to get into a sitting position from laying down by pretty much trying to do a situp.. Which generally just angers her and she ends up crying so that I will help her, or daddy will. Hows Eloise doing? I wonder if doctors there recommend other things than they do here, and if it effects development and all that.. For a long time Alex hated being on her stomach. Its only been recently that shes started to enjoy it really, maybe in the last 2-2.5 months or so. As for another... While I was pregnant we thought maybe.. maybe when she was a year old we'd start to try for another.. And then I had her, and half the time Im still overwhelmed... She is a demanding little thing.. So I think it will be atleast another year from now, but no longer than 2 before we try again.. I do want one more. And Melster, for normal folk, I honestly dont believe there is ever a great time money wise to have a baby. Haha there isnt enough money in the world, yet you will find a way to make it work.. Well, thanks for reading my babble about my small rug monster. Love her, I do!
