![]() | Favourite Ads of all time So we have a negative thread about ads! Why not equal it out and have a positive one! What are your favourite ads of all time? Mine has to be R whites lemonade. The guy singing in his PJs that he is a secret lemonade drinker. And not forgetting Hamlet the mild cigar advert. The one with the guy trying to cover his bald patch whilst having a Passport photo taken, ending up with the seat falling down! Classic! | ||

![]() | Out of the recent ones I liked the VW one with Gene Kelly doing a remixed Singing in the Rain - it was just very clever and cool. I liked the transformer dancing car as well.

| I want a better title! Crackers | Some ads I liked a lot: The Super Noodles ads, especially the one where the bloke wipes his mouth on his wife's clean shirt and then blames the baby. The "Parklife" ad, with footballers like Eric Cantona and Ian Wright playing with pub footballers. An old Boots 17 ad from the early 80s, featuring a girl slapping on loads of make up and pulling faces. Very silly but cute advert! The Guinness ad with the bloke dancing while the Guinness is settling Commercialised crap it might be, but I do love the Coca Cola "Holidays are coming ad" with all the lights coming on as the truck drives around ![]()

![]() | I did like the surfing one. It was voted best ad ever a few years ago, but it was cool.

![]() | Nah greatest add was the 80's Carling Black Label one with the Cowboys. You'd thought the add was finished and they'd pop up on the next three, complete with a shoot-out in a Supermarket during a washing powder add.

![]() | I don't even remember that one! I remember a few of the "I bet he drinks Carling Black Label" ones like the window cleaner cleaning the windows of a plane while it was in the air.

![]() | Ah yeah, I remember that. That was a good one. Wasn't there another where the holiday makers were throwing their towels like bouncing bombs across a hotel swimming pool so that they landed on the sunloungers before the Germans could get their towels down there?

| I want a better title! Crackers | Just heard "Into the Valley" by the Skids on the radio and it reminded me of those great ads from years ago for cassette tapes(!!) where they had a song playing and these blokes were holding up boards for what they thought the lyrics were, because they were listening to the songs on inferior tapes! My favourite one was "Me ears are alight" (Israelites) and here it is!

![]() | I really did love the carling ads, and yes I remember the one that Laton's talking of, but I couldn't find it anywhere sadly. For other Carling ad fans, here's a few of the different ones we've had over the years... But I think one of my faves of all time has to be for
