Other than that, there's more chance of a complete and utter ban upon alcohol and cigarettes being banned in the uk, completely, not just in public/enclosed areas (re: cigs), but...all over, than a ban in where and when a mother can breastfeed a kid....


....unless its not their kid, then, well, thats just sorta...bad.

That's the point, currently there is no law with regards to it. After this it will be illegal to breastfeed a baby older than 6 months in a public place! You can be charged with indecency! *Has visions of mums carrying round baby I.D'S* lol!

Apparently a lot of women do..! Especially other family members' children, with permission of course. Not my cup of tea personally.

What is wierd however is there is apparently a huge sex market for breastmilk, women make thousands selling it! Disturbing.

At the moment, guessing at the state of current legislation, "technically" dependant upon the officers and the magistrates (dread to think that it'd go as far as an actual judge to put their thoughts and judgement upon such a thing) who deal/dealt with the breastfeeding at the time, can...based on their own judgement, try and carry out an arrest, based upon public indecency.

...although also, technically at the moment too, being naked is not actually against the laws stated in England and Wales. Its the act of being naked, with a direct aim to intimidate, scare, whatever else, someone of the same sex/opposite sex...thats if your being done over through the criminal law (which also states women cant currently do this..disgrace!). Common law..is even worse with what is and isnt indecent exposure..

The bill shouldnt come through, with no doubts some womens rights (not being a bastard here, but, they always come through eventually :P) movement bringing it forefront, pointing out even more flaws with Mr Browns agenda and push more towards his early retirement in the end :P Politics, biggest load of bollocks ever really :/

...as far as the other stuff..

Anywho, I would never, ever ever EVER feed a child that wasnt mine, breastfeed it that is. I will give cookies an juice if asked.. That is beyond weird.

There is also a market for breastmilk for mothers who cannot breastfeed as well. Such as in the case of premature babies as in milk not coming in, or perhaps cancer survivors or just women who find out they cannot breastfeed. I heard about an organization you can donate to while I was in the hospital to give birth to Alex.

Oh god no, Alex is down for the night thankfully. Breaking the cosleeping thing was so much easier than I expected, but shes staying up later and later lately, and still waking up at 6:30-7:30am! Poor Eloise! How is she doing? The only time I can get on anymore is if Alex is asleep. I was wondering if you couldnt girl up her cast with paint? Or markers... or something! Stickers? If you sew or could sew I bet it wouldnt be hard to make little skirts to cover it up? Also for her little hair, Alex doesnt have much either.. Ive found I can buy the little bows at the store, and hot glue in velvet ribbon... and it will catch the wispy hair and hold them in!

their was a women in china not long back after the earth quake who was breastfeeding 9 babies who had been orphaned. In those sort of situations i would feed another baby

The whole 'oddness' (to me) of it changes in those sort of circumstances. I would too.
