The demon formerly known as prince.

"Hurry hurry, they'll be here soon!" yelled Aran as he strode briskly through the arching corridors of Karazhan.
Rounding the corner he came face to face with a giant metal construct bristling with Arcane Energy.
"Robert!" he yelled. "Hang up that cellphone, they'll be here any minute now!"
The construct looked abashed and hung up the cellphone, storing it in a small compartment on his right leg.
"Sorry Aran, I was just reading the kids a bed time story." he said in a low rumbling accent that sounded like heavy machinery grinding together.
"No problem Rob, no harm done. How are the little nippers anyway?" asked Aran, not really interested in the answer.
"Oh they're great! We took the training wheels off James this week, hes walking on his own two legs now! Timmy just came off his mothers oil, we've got him on a proper diet of battery acid and arcane energy now!" the curator exclaimed excitedly, hopping from foot to foot and causing the room to shake as he did.
"Thats great" Aran coughed as dust fell from the ceiling, "Just make sure you're ready!" he said over his shoulder as he strode onwards through the library, his robes swirling behind him as he came to the balcony overlooking the library. Elementals and Arcane constructs stood milling about, some reading books and others playing marbles.
"Everybody!" Aran yelled, casting a quick thunderclap spell to get everyones attention.
The boom resonated through the room and the creatures came to a silence, the only sound being the still echoing thunderclap and a marble rolling across the floor.
"Show time in five minutes! They are just finishing their summoning and then they will be in here. Get this place looking messy again! Move some books out of the shelves, tip over a few chairs, you know the drill!".
Striding through the library he watched as the elemntals flung books about. He hated to see them treated like this but if they were to make it look like this library had been ransacked and haunted then they needed it for the effect.
He continued upwards, all the while the swish of his blue robes against each other was the only sound to be heard.
Coming to a small room with book shelves lining the wall he searched for the book he was after. Finding it, he tugged on the corner of the book, entitled "A Tourists Guide to Deadwind Pass" and the library panel receded away with a loud click revealing a downward sloping corridor behind. Quickly advancing he yelled out as he went.
"Terrestrian! Are you there?", the yell echoed slightly down the corridor.
"Aran baby! How lovely to see you!" Illhoof yelled as Aran rounded the corner, the satyr embracing him in a hug that knocked the air out of him.
"You must see these new dr@pes I bought, they are to die for! Care for a muffin? Baked them myself this morning, don't you think the sprinkles on the top are just darling?"
Aran sighed and rubbed his forehead with his hand, he hated coming to Illhoof's room.
"No I've just eaten, but thanks. Just to let you know they should be here any minute now. I don't think they'll come to you as they are a newish group but just in case we need you to be ready."
"No problem love", Illhoof cried as he turned and dashed towards a wardrobe, digging through it and throwing clothes out behind him. Standing he turned holding up two items, one was a black leather harness adorned with skulls dripping blood from their eye sockets, the second was a pink sleeveless vest with a Hello Kitty motif on the front.
"Which do you think? I always wear the black, I was thinking of going with the pink today?" he smiled innocently, knowing what Aran's answer would be but trying anyway.
"Black! If i've told you once I've told you a hundred times, no pink in front of the outsiders! Its bad enough you prance around all day in it yourself, we'll be the laughing stock if they see you in that".
With a final glare Aran turned and walked off.
"Oh Aran, I forgot to mention. Apparantly Mals been at the bottle again."
"WHAT?!" Aran shouted. "How did he get Alchohol, I took his ID off him last time this happened! Illhoof!?!"
Illhoof looked at the floor guiltily.
"Its not my fault!" he protested. "He came down earlier and mentioned how shiny my horns where and something about my eyes being blacker than the night sky, the next thing I knew he'd made off with two bottles of my Peach schanppes!".
Muttering to himself Aran began waving his arms in the air, casting a teleportation spell to the roof.

A flash of bright white light filled the area and as it faded, Aran glanced around. He was in the right place, and Mal was stumbling around the far end of the balcony, a bottle in each hand and singing terribly.
"Nobodyyyy....knows the trouble..I've...I've....hic!" he shouted as he stumbled and tripped over an axe he'd left discarded on the ground. He didn't appear hurt as he sat up againt the wall and started giggling to himself.
Furious now, Aran stormed across the balcony towards the prince, but it wasn't until he was upon him that Mal noticed his prescence.
"Araaaaaan! Peach Schnappes?!" he mumbled, before letting loose a gut wrenching belch.
A flick of his wrist and the bottle flew up into the air, exploding as it reached the peak of its flight.
"Awwww maan! Why you always such a square, never let me have no fun..."
"Whats wrong with you, they'll be in the dungeon by now and you're in no fit state for a fight! You do know they'll be heading straight here to try to get their warrior a T4 tanking helm!"
"Its not fair..." he trailed off.
"What isn't fair?" Aran asked.
"Well every week its the same. The guilds that have learnt my strategy can kill me usually pretty easy. Which is fair enough. Thats my job, to go down and give them loot. But its the ones who can't kill me that are getting to me. Every week its the same, I never get credit for my kills!"
Aran was confused by the route the conversation was going.
"Its like, whatever I do they always blame it on luck! Its too much for a demon to take! I drop an infernal on their healers heads, they scream how unlucky they were. I thrash the MT when hes on low hp, they cry about random encounters. They stand with their backs to infernals and I shadow nova, they raise hell that i'm too powerful. They whine about axes killing Enfeebeled people, duh! The worst? When I strategically place my babys to box them in and they fail to see the trap, well then they go up in arms about it being totally unavoidable when all they had to do was spot the box forming and move out. I just feel so underappreciated..."
Aran put a comforting arm around Mal.
"There there mal, don't worry. I know what you're going through. I'd spent years training my elementals to be a force to be reckoned with. But overnight their hp got nerfed drastically. You've just got to get your head down, do your best to wipe them and always remember that we love you! Now whose my big demon? Eh? Whose my biggest baddest demon!"
Mal sniffed and wiped the tears from his eyes. "I am!"
He seemed instantly happier.
In the background Aran could hear the distant cry of the Maiden yelling.
"Well won't be long now, why don't you clean yourself up and get ready?"
"Okay" sniffed Mal, "Thanks Aran, I'll try my best!"
"Thats all we can do lad."
With that Aran teleported away. The prince picked up his axe and took a few practice swings in the air, then summoned down an infernal to chat too whilst he waited for the raiders to reach him.
