While I was doing an inventory of my reageants prior to assuming duty at the west gate, I met up with Mr. Decardo, who was already accessing his box.

Mr. Decardo told me that a new mystery had appeared involving an old child's tale. The book that most parents read their children about "Sherry the Mouse" might have been more fact than fiction as this mouse has appeared at Castle British with many of her kin. Apparently the mice that appeared there are carrying a foreign denomination under their fir. The denominations are made up of different metals than gold(silver, copper etc.) I have no idea where these mice come from but the foreign denomination indicates they are coming from somewhere else. It makes me wonder if Sherry is actually human and some magery gone awry has tranformed her into a mouse. Much like what has happened to Armsman Kamar. Learning more about Sherry might reveal something that would help with a cure for Kamar. Worth investigating at least.

After talking with Mr. Decardo for some time he took his leave and began heading toward the west entrance so that he could access the moongate and return to his home. He was then attacked by an individual who was on the roof of the bank. By the time I realized what was going on the culprit had moved further from the edge of the roof and I was unable to get a good look at him. I teleported to the top of the roof but the culprit had disappeared in thin air. I made several attempts at revealing magic but these came up with nothing. Mr. Decardo showed me the weapon that the individual had used. It was a small disk with saw-like teeth on it. Mr. Decardo must have moved at the very right instant because if it would have landed a centimeter lower it would have lodged between the plates of his armor. It may have been poisoned but I am not sure. I have no description of the culprit nor do I know anything of why a contract is out on Mr. Decardo.

In investigation of the Sherry the mouse thing I plan on visiting Castle British and see if I can see any sign of the mice. Another thing I plan on doing is finding someone that has the new currency and purchasing some of it or doing a charcoal rubbing of it. Another useful thing would be to find a copy of the child's tale to see if it can give any insight on the appearance of Sherry.

The young Keina has a copy of a book called "Quotes taken from Sherry the Mouse". I tried to read it but the copy was so ratty, no pun intended, that I couldn't read it. Keina who is more familiar with the material said she would see if she could get it copied more legibly to another book. Hopefully I will be able to include notes from this copy on my next report.

Visited Castle British for a very short period of time to see if I could find any evidence of the recent mouse invasion or maybe interview someone that had been here during it. I found Miss Keina and Mr. Eike in the library of Castle British getting some books themselves. *the following sentence has been marked out* Also I must have been imagining it but I could have sworn I saw S_. My time there was limited so I didn't have a chance to walk down the entire castle but I will go back there when I have more time.

Next step; Get a copy of the book. Investigate Castle British. Charcoal rubbing of the new currency or the currency itself.
