Genty

Not for the first time, I awoke this morning in the healers with the same fuzziness as a hangover, yet the pain is ten times that of one. I can only assume that once again I have been the victim of poison. I have no idea why poison seems to have this effect on me but it is really starting to annoy me, it takes my memory away for varying amounts of time, which is why it was suggested to me that I start to keep note of my daily life, to see if that helps.

What I do remember about last night is that it all started well, I was working on my archery skills so that I can at last make a difference in battle. I felt my knowledge growing along with my confidence, and I had collected all the gold that I could carry so I decided to head back to Trinsic bank, to put it all away safe.

I then headed back home, for what I thought was going to be an early night, as I left Trinsic there were a few shady looking characters hanging around outside, so I quickly ran into the forest to head home, however I noticed that a man began to follow me. He stopped me and we began to talk. It seemed he was in some trouble from some partners of some such, he was not very clear. He said that he was under pressure from them to collect gold either by getting it given...or taking it. I took that as a somewhat threatening action, so my pulse began to race a little, was I heading for a robbing?

I began to stall him, asking him why he could not escape these people, he explained that if he ran, his life would be put into danger. I decided then to take an aggressive tone with him, he was not going to back down. I noticed a friendly face walking in the woods towards us and I don't think he saw Lydia sneaking closer. It would seem she had noticed that trouble was brewing and was ready to assist.

I put on my leather cap and armed my bow. He drew his weapon and the fight began. Then my mind goes blank. I can only hope that Lydia was ok, after checking my possessions this morning it would seem I had nothing stolen so I hope that is a good indication of Lydia. She always seems to show up at the right time and last night I am truly grateful she did again, she is a good friend and an excellent fighter.

I only hope that what happened after can be filled in by someone. I hate not knowing what happened to me, I feel so vulnerable.

I am awake and I spent the night in my own bed, not those hard mattresses at the healers, which makes a nice change. Although at one stage I though something could have turned nasty.

I headed to Trinsic to see if anything was going on, Lydia came shortly after and had something for me. Apparently that Brigand that attempted to rob me had been spotted in Trinsic and knocked was knocked out. He gave Lydia 500 gold to pass on to me as a piece offering for what he had done. Although still extremely unimpressed with his actions i took the gold.

At the gate the subject of poison came up, yes my favourite subject so Hugo and Lydia took it upon themselves to test on me. Kimi was standing around looking with disgust at the plan by Hugo and Lydia but in the end it was fairly painless. After all his various tests Hugo announced that he did not believe the problems were in my head but I suffered from an allergic reaction from the poison. Which means....more tests to come. Brilliant.

Shortly after the tests were finished a familiar man came to the gate...it was the brigand from yesterday. He was preaching about how he had seen the error of his ways, a chaplain had shown him the light. Personally I think it's just some cover up but Lydia seemed to think he was pretty genuine. I am yet to be convinced of this fella, how am I expected to forgive him so quickly?

Another man enquiring about the Kaldorian's came to the gate, he looked a little suspect so I tried to find out who he was and why he wanted the information. This ended up in a somewhat heated debate but the guy decided to walk away before anything nasty occurred.

The rest of my evening was pretty uneventful. I went home, quicker than normal and climbed into my bed. How satisfying that was.

Another night not spent in my bed, least this time it wasn't the healers. I found myself a watermelon patch to lay down low in. I have no idea where I am. I stormed out of the Kaldorian base and just ran for as long as I could. At one point I found myself looking out to sea, just pondering what had happened. So what had happened?

Devante had told me to build an arena for that evening, so I went ahead to Trinsic marketplace to get started. It was fairly simple but took some time to create, finally it was ready and everyone started to arrive for the evening events.

Devante announced that we would be having some kind of Marksman tournament which made me a little nervous, I knew my skills were still not up to the best that we had to offer but i was willing to try. My first battle I was pitched against Reed, I've not seen him much in battle but I was still nervous. The fight was close, very close but I managed to take the victory 3 - 2. This was much to my surprise.

A few other marksmen had their fights but it was not long till I was up again, this time i was against Gordon, he is somewhat nuts and unpredictable so I didn't know really what the expect from him. Again it was a tightly fought battle and again I just edged it with yet another 3 - 2 victory. Straight after I was up against Felix. Now this I knew was going to be tough, he had been an archer for so much longer than me and his skills in all areas were better. My fears were realised when i got defeated 3 - 0. Not that it wasn't close, I did nearly knock him down twice which I was fairly surprised about, I just didn't manage to put in that final blow.

The last fight was for the Champion and naturally it was between Devante and Felix, it was a good battle but Devante was just too strong and easily reclaimed his title. I hope one day I will be able to take that title, it may take a lot of time for me to grow as strong and as knowledgeable but one day it shall happen.

After some messing about it was our time to go on gate duty at the Trinsic Westgate. So we cleaned up the arena and hot footed it to the gate, quickly constructing a makeshift barrier. Soon after Vesper was seen and we knew that a battle was soon to follow.

The battle was fairly quick and messy, we were slaughtered quite quickly, but that does not bother me. What caused all this anger inside me was the sight of our so called allies the Kaldorian's running away from the scene. Hugo started battling but he was quickly dragged out buy at least 3 other Kaldorians and from the Vesperian shouting, they knew the reasons behind Kaldor running away like pansies.

I was outraged, a group of us stormed to Kaldor to find some answers. They claimed that they had not run away. How could they lie like that so easy? I saw them with my own eyes, at least 4 of them running and demanding that Hugo stopped the fight. Not being able to get the information that I wanted a stormed out, if I had stayed I am sure I would of regretted my actions. Now I am here, sat in this watermelon patch. Guess I should set off to try and find home and maybe some answers too.

Those Kaldorian's have done it this to me, broken my arm and given me a hell of a fever. Six of them and one of me, just shows what kind of creatures they are, to call them allies is a disgrace. I shall get revenge.
