Tuesday the 19th of Feb

Have decided it's time to once again to attempt a journal, i figured the last one failed due to the fact i tried to make it too detailed, which was far too time consuming, this time i'll keep it simple...

To recap on Yesterday...
Early in the day i began closing the shop for the big refurbishment, which after pouring much more thought into the design I decided it best to enlist the services of my friend Gwen Irima again, the new design looks fantastic !

GolemSmith Dan was able to find a plot in the Hidden Valley to build a small Golem Works Factory, just like what we had during the days of the Ironworks, just being there brought back fond memories.

Later in the day we decided to investigate claims of a new breed of Dragon lurking in Destard. The claims unfortuantly proved true, there is indeed a new breed of Dragon, which looks identical to other types of dragon, only a hell of a lot tougher. The five of us had to withdraw from the cave because of these new dragons, normally we are able to go hunting there alone, not any longer it seems.
This may cause big problems for us and all other leather hunters as the Dragons barbed hides are now much harder to get to, the five us experienced hunters were only able to gather little over fifty barbed hides. I fear this may now increase the price of barbed hides all over the world, already their is evidence of a fifty percent increase in the price, which may affect the price of our Balanced Armour. We shall have to look into an alternative source of Barbed hides.
I issued two shares in the wage pot to all involved in the effort.

Ray Strongbow our Company lumberjack suggested he keeps a record of all our timber stocks, i told him this was a brilliant idea and that he should proceed as soon as the House is completed.

Thursday 21st of February

Yesterday saw the welcome return of Royal Marksman legend Reed, who it seems had fallen in with some blonde harlot who led him astray. For the time being he will be employed as a a Company Guard.

The Trinsic Market run by Cove was a huge success, i have not seen Trinsic so busy in a long while, wish we had of set up a stall now, but with the house in such a disorganised mess i didn't really have the time to plan for it. The Talent show at the market was most enjoyable, even Reed tried one of his witty poems which the crowd found very entertaining.

The first batch of 5,000 bolts arrived from Miss Warmbow at a cost of 40,000 gold coins, the quality of the bolts appears to be very good so i will request a further 5,000 arrows next time i see her.

Started to restock S&K Stores, Just waiting on a new batch of Balanced armour to be completed, and for a new batch of orange leaves to arrive.

Friday 22nd of February

Kason completed a new batch of eight balanced armour suits, we agreed that they should now be priced at 75,000 gold coins to reflect the huge price rise in barbed hide.

Gwen done more decoration work on the house and it looks fantastic, i look forward to settling in and getting used to it all again.

My personal battle with Mordred continues with no end in sight, yesterday he returned his one share to the company (which he never got round to paying for anyway) I'll sell this share off to someone within the company.

All in all it was a quiet day and i didn't really know what to do with myself.

Monday 25th February

After some thought I decided that it would be in our best interest to promote Reed to Captain of the new Company Guard which is slowly being formed, I hope that it will give him a purpose and direction in life and distract him from taverns and women of loose morals.

The purpose of the guard will be 'To Protect Company Interests' whatever they may be, and additionally they will be support for the Duchy Guards, much like we already do under the citizens militia, although i still need to discuss with the Duke what powers they will have in Trinsic.
I hope we will be able to start recruitment soon, but i shall make this Captain Reeds area of responsibility.

Thursday 28th of February

Earlier in the week, Tuesday i think it was, we held a small Company Archery Championship, and i really was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the archers we have in this company, i'm confident now that should we ever find ourselves in battle we can easily better our opponents. As i expected Lydia won the contest and is currently our Company Archer Champion.

Today we continued our quest to save the moongates from the same fate as Magincia. I went for a change of tactics today, we worked our way through the first book, and gathered the ingredients, with which we can use on each gate without having to travel too much, this should speed up the process a bit. Although it wasn't as easy as i had hoped, fact is we need more people to help.
We managed to gather

3 masks of the Savage
3 Poison of the elemental
3 bandages of a Mummy
3 scrolls from the Bone Mage
3 Robes of the evil mage

We brought in just over forty thousand gold coins, which i will add to the company treasury. We tried for a long while to find a Staff of the Lich, but with no success, I think we will just have to hope that one dosen't come up.

Captain Reed has completed his design of the guards uniform, and i am rather happy with the result, i was expecting some ghastly outfit that would make people want to kill us on sight.

Tuesday 4th of March

Completed the end of the month report of sorted out the treasury, another good month for the company bringing in 1,329,800 gold pieces, the pressure will be on this month to keep this up.

Lydia is away visiting her family on the old chicken farm, so it seems strangly quiet around Stirling house at the moment, the quiet is only broken by Reeds occasional (okay frequent) boasts about his sexual conquests, i'm becoming concerned that he is a sex addict, i've noticed he seems to be picking up a reputation around Trinsic...

I spoke to Mr. Seagull today about being our supplier for grapes of wrath and enchanted apples to be sold on our enhancing foods section of the store, it will be very interesting to see what the sales of such items are like. I'm told that the Enchanted Apples cure you of any curses uopn you and the Grapes of wrath make you more determined in combat, leading to an increase in the damage you can inflict, which i think will sell very well for this reason. Felix told me he even managed to eat them while holding his crossbow too !
Mr. Seagull tells me the first batches of each will be ready tomorrow as they have to soak overnight.

Felix made mention of a possible hunt tomorrow, i've no idea where to or what against, i'll leave it in the hands of Felix our Hunt master.

Tuesday 11th March

The Company needs to be on high alert following last nights events, whilst enjoying the company of miss Cora Fen (the Dukes Clerk) at Stirling house, we were disturbed by a loud noise coming from the workshop, I went to investigate and discovered two full kegs of explosive potion rigged to a fuse. Fortunatly it seems whoever was responsible did not have time to light the fuse, otherwise the damage would have been huge to ourselves and the building.
Miss Fen and myself made our way to Kendall house for safety whilst waiting for some guards. Mercutio joined us at this point, it was then that we realised we were being followed by a man dressed in black(shadow) leather armour.
We returned to Stirling house, Mercutio went to find the Duchy Guards while i removed the fuse from the kegs. When the guards arrived only Mordred seemed the least bit interested in the situation, so i doubt there will be any investigation into this.
I don't think the explosive kegs were intended to harm me, but perhaps more so miss Cora Fen, I suspect this is more likely to be the work of some jealous ex boyfriend, although i got the impression that miss Fen wasn't being entirely honest and telling me the full story.
We caught up with the shadowy man later in Trinsic and pressed on him to answer our questions, but as criminals do he denied everything then ran away.

I spent the night at Lydias house, just incase of anymore unwanted visitors to Stirling house, this morning everything at the house appeared in order. I'll leave the matter now and won't bother to investigate since i can't see that anything will come of it even if i do manage to find out who is responsible.

Saturday 15th March

On Wednesday myself, Felix, Cearul and Gwen went on a feather gathering expedition to the harpy nest in ilshenar, we brought back some 11,000 feathers and 54,538 in gold, as well as a large amount of various jewels. I think i would like to make Tuesday or Wednesday a regular Company hunt night, i will have to speak to Felix.

Mercutio employed a Vendor to sell his magical book wares, I believe he stocks runebooks, recall scrolls and the like.

Friday was a big night at the dueling Arena, Reeds league seems to be popular and attracts quite a crowd, there were fights going on pretty much non stop all evening, I fought and won a few rounds myself (someone should set up a stall there to sell potions and bandages) , I think the large quantity of Ale in me helped boost my confidence, although i seem to have fuzzy memories of singing Love songs to Gwen and Lydia at the Rose, i hope i didn't make too much of a fool of myself.
Woke up on Lydias sofa again this morning, I think she might have to charge me rent soon.

Tuesday 18th March

Yesterday was the Swaggers 'Paddy Party' where guests all come dressed in green, I had every intention of going but Lydia took over two hours to get ready ! and so we missed the party. so dressed in our fine green outfits we ventured to Stonekeep, we were welcomed at the Kings Deer tavern, even though there were some odd looks, Lydia and I managed to beat all the Yew folk at darts. It was a shame we missed the paddy party sounded like fun, although i can't really complain, Lydia did look stunning after two hours of hair and make up.

Kason and i have worked through the night to get a special valorite suit ready for the Trinsic Arms and Armour Parade, we think we have finally got the result we were after just a few finishing touches to add in the morning. Even if we don't win, hopefully it will show people at the event what Stirling & Kendall are capable of.

Thursday 18th March
Yesterday was the Trinsic Arms and Armour parade, I'm still somewhat disgusted and slightly angry at at the outcome of the event. It's not so much the fact that Myself, Kason, Lydia and Lyska put a lot of time, effort and thought into what we made or the embarrassment caused to the Company by not even being to come first, second or third in an armour competition with just six competitors. It's due more to the fact that Duchy politics came into what was supposed to be a fair competition, I speak of the whining Baron of Vesper Van Cocidious and his rather lazy entry into the competition. He comes to the event wearing the same outfit he wears everyday, does a twirl and the Duchy judges give him third place ! This sticks of corruption to me, and is an obvious attempt to gain favour and appease the ever hostile Vesperians.
Maybe it worked and the Duchy did impress and gain the respect of Vesper, but they did so at the expense of souring the relationship between themselves and the Company.

After the Contest we went and took out our anger by shooting Rune beetles, capturing a couple too, Zefar and Jacob have new pets, Lydia and I have new scars.
Following that we went along to the Vesper Trading Companies new Tavern "The Pole Arms" In Yew, and i was actually pleasantly surprised with the place, pretty girls, good service and for once ale that wasn't watered down, we shall have to go there again, and maybe next time Lydia will have that male lap dance.

Thursday 27th March

Found my Journal today, I had left it on top of a stack of chests in the vault only to find that Reed had already found it !

I spent a long weekend relaxing in the sun in Nujelm, which is a much nicer place now that it is once more part of the kingdom and properly run. I returned Monday and attended the Vesperian olympic boxing, it looked like there was some tough fights which made me glad i retired after the Britain moot tournament, sure looks painful.

Later at West gate i met the new Mayor of Jhelom who was looking for the Duke and Kimi to discuss trade. Shortly after that Jenny D'griff former swaggers girl came along claiming she is now Lady and ruler of Delucia by appointment of the Great Council, which i found hard to believe given that the Council have no authority over Delucia since it is not part of the Kingdom. Never the less she informed me that both Cove and Vesper want her dead and that she has formed an Alliance with Jhelom.

On Tuesday i took part in the Olympic Darts and Archery contests, although i did painfully bad in the darts, i won gold in the Archery, i had to really to keep up our reputation as the worlds best archers. Gold meant i won Trinsics first points of the Olympics, Reann followed with Bronze adding to that, so was a good day for Trinsic.

Later that day i spoke to Sari-laine and her pretty friend Debbie, who are elves from somewhere called the Desrie forests, they are still waiting on more of their folk and plan on settling South of Trinsic near the Kaldorian ruins, where they have already started construction on a Temple.

Yesterday myself, Cearul and Gwen formed Trinsics bagball team for the Vesper Olympics, our first match against Cove was tough but we managed a close 3-2 victory, next we faced Vesper who had already beaten Skara Brae 6-0, we lost 7-0, but still claimed silver for Trinsic so was not a total loss, although it was clear to everyone that Vesper were usung some underhand tactics since no one can possibly move a heavy bagball that quick, i suspect some form of drug or magic abuse.

Plans to recover Serpents hold will still go ahead, although i will wait until Reed and Lydia return from leave, Gwen also mentioned she would be interested in helping, although i don't want to place her in the middle of something that is likely to cause more friction between the company, the remaining Kaldorians and the Duchy.

The first edition of the Trinsic Herald is almost ready to go to press, there were some delays due in part to my small holiday, and we are also waiting on the statment from the Duke.

Sunday 30th March

I arrived back from Serpents Hold too late on Sunday to attend the final event of the Vesperian Olympics and the Ceremony, but the Duke informed me that Vesper won, with Skara Brae second and us (Trinsic) in third. Apparently there was some confusion over the start time of the final triathalon event, so some competitors missed it, smells of another Vesperian plot to win to me.

After a quick stop in Trinsic i then travelled to Moonglow to see what the fuss about this magical machine was. When i arrived there were hundreds of people there, all decked out in their finest fighting gear and some accompanied by their pet Dragons and Rune beetles, i felt a bit small being on foot while everyone else appeared to be on some fancy mount.
I was later joined by Gwen, Cearul, Lydia, Kaelyn and Stewan and we waited... and waited.... and waited some more for something to happen, then suddenly there was huge blinding flash that left me somewhat stunned for a minute or two, suddenly we were confronted by many winged etheral warriors and fetid essence clouds, the huge crowd was scattered in the mass confusion of battle, all over moonglow people fell.
After about an hour of fighting black smoke began pouring from the magical machine engulfing me so that i could not see, all of a sudden there was a huge explosion and i was blasted away from the machine into the wall of a nearby building, i recovered my senses after a few minutes only to discover a huge crater in the middle of what used to be Moonglows finest beer garden. In the center of this crater was a black gateway, obviously some sort of corrupted rift in our world. Many foolish warriors dived straight in without a thought, i took my time and waited but soon people began to return from the other side, so i went in... i found myself in moonglow again, only it was moonglow before the explosion and during the battle against the etherals, i fought on for a little while but felt somewhat exhasuted after fighting the same battle twice, so returned back through the gateway and to the safety of home.
I'm not really sure what to make of the events that occured, it seems the magical machine opened somesort of alternative moonglow trapped inside a sort of snowglobe. Perhaps the machine was intended to save the real moonglow from the same fate as Magincia...

Wednesday 9th of April

Following an end of month shareholders meeting we decided to set ourselves the target of reaching 1.5 million sales this month, it will be a stretch but i'm confident this can be done. We also discussed the possibility of a dividend pay out at the end of June/early July.

Wednesday was the day of the Cove Market, and it looks like our stall made a good impression on people, as i'm told we recieved many compliments. Although many of our goods are too expensive for the average person we still made 130,700 Gold, this was mostly due to our cheaper than normal ammo prices which attracted people. I think those in the company that attended had a good time also, and for their efforts i rewarded them with a wage pot share, extra for Ray as he built the impressive stall.
