Well... the University has been around for some time now. We have bored you with lectures, herded you into certain death, puzzled you with ridiculous riddles - and all with that snug air of knowing everything better than the rest of you filthy louts.


So I would like to take some time for a little round of feedback.

What do you like about the University events? What do you hate? What would you like to see added, changed, more or less? Why do you attend? Why don't you attend? Under what conditions would you attend? Would you like to help out? Do you have something you wish presented?

Just speak your mind. Either here or over PM or tell Callum if you think we'll tear your head off if we heard you say it.

I must admit I've not been to as many as I would have liked (during the Vesper and Minoc wars, battles were always on Sunday nights, and the old Kaldor tourney was on Sundays as well before we cancelled it) but I have enjoyed those I attended. The exhibition ones work a bit better for me - I liked Kaelyn's painting exhibition, and the Montor talk last week.

Sunday evenings is possibly the worst timing ever for a Covian. If I don't show up for Promotion parade or the surronding events Octiovus will whip me....again...with a barbed wire

The problem is that there is always something going on. And even more, those other things are multi-guild events, such as taverns and trainings, whereas the Cove promotion parade seems to be a rather local phenomenon.

And I was given to understand that it lasts only for like 20 minutes, so plenty of time to be done and here in time for the Uni

I did wrote a long post but the forums crashed as i sent it and i lost it...(geez i am glad SCT moved to Uoforums).

I dont really want to type it all in again so i will just say i have nothing but praise for the events the people from Umbra have taken time to run. I like the fact they are all a little bit different from the last and they attract all kinds of people.
Sunday is a good time for me as its the weekend.

Huge thumbs up from me.

I have nothing but praise for the University of Umbra nights - they have impressed me greatly with how they have been organised and presented. For me the timing has been ideal too as I mainly only get chunks of rp in at the weekends

Many of the lectures presented have been thought provoking and the discussions have been carried out in such a way where all seem to have been able to participate without having that chaotic feel of trying to say something and not being heard......a problem that can occur within the game when so many people are typing their thoughts rather than being able to speak actual words.

I have also been impressed with how some of the lectures ran with what has been happening in either other parts of the scenario world or with EM events like the blackrock....has given the game for me a rounder feeling.

And yes from this arena much rp has stemmed beyond the lectures, new people have been met and much fun has been had.

So from me - a big congratualtions to Aryala and her team for creating some very interesting times !

Umbra University Nights are pretty close to perfect.

All I would liek to see is diversity and more lecturers.

More charcaters from different guilds and towns turning up would be nice also - but thats a reflection on them and Not Umbra University - which is pretty damn perfect.

Just keep it going and keep doing what you do!

The University Nights are great.

When Adam and I first started exploring Europa last spring, we attended one of the University lectures (I think it was on politics or the nature of political power?) and we walked away from it absolutely astounded by the detail, the great mix of personalities, and the number of people that attended. We were completely entertained with the lecture (and the reactions from the crowd). That lecture turned out to be one of the event that sealed our commitment to Europa. These lectures are a great introduction to Europa for cross-sharders and new players. They are a way to be immersed in the culture of Europa RP, and be introduced to some of the prominent personalities.

Keep up the great work!
