Hello, everyone! We are two DB veterans who are making a comeback after a 70 level excursion to Venture Company, looking for a mature RP-positive guild to raid with. We realize that most guild officers hate package deals, but as we pretty much play together, you unfortunately have to invite both or reject both.


So, here we go:

Yer char name: Silversage
Char level: today 69, tomorrow 70
Char Class: Druid. Full feral. Currently focusing on tanking, but also gathering DPS and PVP gear on the side.
Real life age: 29

Game Experience: Heal priesting in Last Stand (ZG cleared, MC cleared, Onyxia killed, BWL cleared, AQ20 up to Ossirian). Retridining and tankadining up to 70. Minor alts (hunter-30, shammy-30 etc).

(The armoury link is outdated. When I ding 70 I'll immediately have full clefthoof set and some welfare epic shoulders, so the stats will be considerably higher than the ones presented in the profile. The other day I did the maths and I'm pretty close to being uncrittable: Gotta tune the gems a bit and find out how much PVE bang the resilience gives me.)

Resistances: A bagful of resist gear. Meaning: Not much. Is it even needed nowadays?

RP Background: Mierka and Silversage are running some weird variant of Beauty and the Beast (or Lyra and Iorek if you will) drama, but how it plays out is yet to be seen. We haven't exactly developed backstories, but since we role-play back to people who role-play to us, it is likely to turn out during play. Our choice of guild definitely influences the story (if the guild exists in the RP unlike some guilds). Personally I did so many RP events during my TFL/TOL days that I'm not keen on participating in military or campfire RP, but occasional RP while grinding mobs is cool; strictly in-game WPVP still being the coolest form of WoW RP.

(And I've played and ran shitloads of role-playing games and larps since I was a kid, ranging from hack'n'slash barbarians to dramatick gothyque vampyre wine-sipping and to experimentational artsy fartsy larps.)

Why do you want to join us: I'm not a lootwhore. I'm a "want to see more content"-whore. I'd love to see at Kael and Hyjal before WotLK, beating the challenges presented by heroics and seeing the nastiness the Blizz Boys have put together. Personally I find druid one of the funnest classes I ever played, and like feral in particular. I'd dislike speccing to Balance since I find boomkins awkward to say the least. I probably won't spec to Resto either, because I've healed so much with Malbard.

Do you know any libertines at the moment: I don't really know who exactly are in here, to be honest. I noticed Zik and Grasswind on the applications forum, and Gharb. But some of the people in the guild may remember Malbard (from The Forsaken Legion -> The Old Lordaeron -> Last Stand) or Jinda (from The 2nd Gurubashi Empire).

If you want people to recommend me, old timer Last Standers will probably be happy to do so. I parted ways in a hopefully friendly manner with them because my extended trip to Venture made them progress too far for us to easily catch up. People who frequent rphorde can probably recommend me for not being an idiot, even though they know nothing about my raiding.

Game Experience: Shadow priesting to 62 or so with the previous character, playing a warrior (alternating tank/DPS) to 70, and now holy priesting all over again to 70. Eager to raid, has probably read dozens of guides.

Oh -- regarding Ventrilo; I spoke with one of your members today, and he said that it's probably enough to listen to Vent. Speaking to vent might prove out problematic, since we usually play in one room, yelling at each other. :-) We wouldn't like to lose our private voice chat, and you wouldn't -- trust me -- like to listen to that stuff. :-) But I think that's something we can discuss if you accept us to your raid groups.

Oh yea, an in regards to vent, you dont have to talk in it just be in it to listen to people shout, scream, moan, abuse..usual socially unacceptable stuff on my account, sometimes more socially acceptable stuff from the others in the channel tho.

Yeah, eventually I had to leave The Old Lordaeron. Once you end up as a high-up veteran in a guild, the only way away from the (invisible, unofficial) throne is /gquit. A great bunch, those guys though -- I hope they still are.

Hi, I also wanted to say hello to everyone!

(Silversage was kind enough to post for the both of us since I was out of country).

Yes, I'm currently holy/disc and I like playing healers the most- aka would like to keep the spec either, holy/disc, disc/holy or full holy). I'm also serious alt-holic but in recovery, because I just love playing Mierka and healing so much that she is truly my favourite of all of my chars ever - thus I would really love to see the end game with her. She’s a tailor/enchanter and trying to get the primal mooncloth set wrapped up soon.

I have not much raiding experience, but I'm good at team play and can follow tactics. I also tend to be obsessive-compulsive of my interests and I like reading guides, manuals and trying stuff out. I’m also experienced of working both without mods and with mods like threat meters, etc.

Although we play mostly together we are also capable of playing separately - though we do enjoy playing together the most.

Our rp- plot is currently sort of in the works - because we levelled up with a bunch of RL friends and were not so actively building the plot up - but we are long line role-players and we both do remember the time when Defias was young and you stumbled upon role-play wherever you went...

I have been playing various classes and participated in the guild play too. For me personally right now most interesting would be to find solid and mature bunch of players to spend time and adventure with. I'd love to see rest of the content with Mierka and in a good company.

I also gotta point out that Libertines have many players who I respect a lot because of their playing, rp, community activity, and attitude and thus it felt very natural to apply here. So if we might suit your needs, please do contact us either here or in game!
