Anna filled the Pimpmonkey's pipe with tobacco, patted his matted fur, and swept from the Swaggers Inn.

A small schooner awaited her; aboard, the woman Roisin: an unexpected, and not entirely unwelcome surprise. Though the former Veety was a tricksy bitch, there was a firm grasp of principle beneath her crusty, dusty outer shell, and Anna knew she was more reliable than most thought.

The infamous northern winds were out in full regalia, and the sails billowed like a pleasuregirl's skirts.

Anna was wearied. She had barely been in Vesper for months, desperately trying to wrangle a deal to lift her from her financial strains, and her return to the Swaggers had yielded a cruel surprise. The letter sealed her fears, and she knew it was time to take flight.

The copper-haired taverness left a brief note on the messageboard, leaving the tavern in the hands of Rebecca and Kiran, and vowed to return one day.

Anna-Maria Boon, High Queen of Grog, the Brandy Baroness and Proprietor of the Swaggers Inn, Vesper, fled cowardly the place of her former success, and resigned herself to shameful exile.

Drawing a small copper knife across his nails, the edge curved, Kiran sat there with a letter in hand, studying the context of it, something rare occured at this time on Kiran's scarred face, something hideous and most frightening to be seen.... a smile..

"One down... one to go..."

Throwing the letter into the fireplace, he watches as the flames embrace the parhcment with it's lingering flaming tentacles....
